ibis Madrid Centro: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Home away from home."

12th May 2012, Danio48, Sydney, Australia

I used Ibis Madrid as a base for travels around Spain, as well as several days in Madrid. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Very friendly and helpful, patient with the halting Spanish of their guests (they all speak English) and desperately busy. Location is great - a couple of minutes from the Bilbao metro, and you can walk to the centre of Madrid, la Puerta de Sol, in about 15-20 mins along lively and pleasant streets. Definitely my hotel of choice for my next trip to Madrid, and my strongest reservation to anyone who might ask me about accommodation here.

ibis Madrid Centro: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A good budget hotel very handy for the metro"

30th April 2012, GrahamandPenny, Lewes, United Kingdom

Extremely helpful staff found us a non-smoking room. we often stay in Ibis and value it for consistency and low price. This is a good value hotel and i'd fully recommend it.

ibis Madrid Centro: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Wasn't great for sleeping."

17th April 2012, lachjc, London, United Kingdom

The location was ok for walking into the main part of town, but on the other side of the city to the main train station (about half hour walk). The main problem from this hotel was that there was no option to put the air conditioners on cooling (we were there end of March/start of April) and it was quite a hot night... especially when we put the A/C on 'cooling' but hot air pumped out. The other problem was my pillow was very hard and when I asked if I could get a different one, the staff bluntly said no and that all the pillows in Ibis Hotels are the same. As we stayed at 6 other ibis hotels on this trip, I can tell you that all of the others had good pillows, so this isn't the case.Everything else was fine; rooms, breakfast etc all at the typical Ibis standard and comfort. I would recommend staying here but perhaps at a different time of year, or if your not really going to Madrid to relax/sleep at night. Did I mention there seemed to be parties happening up the street till early hours of the morning?

ibis Madrid Centro: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Sotto le aspettative"

11th April 2012, Zurich, Switzerland

Good location, great breakfast, good receptionst but I got problem due to only availablity of Room smoking.I tried to claim this problem but guy at reception was afraid saying that no more room were available.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Splendid week in Madrid and environments"

1st April 2012, Basel, Switzerland

We liked location only a couple of minutes from the metro and within walking distance to major sites in old part of town, the size of the room, the cleanliness and that most staff were very friendly and helpfulWhat was less impressive was - the limited selection of TV stations - almost only Spanish channels - add a few English and German programmes-the somewhat tired breakfast room and that on certain days staples (in Spain) such as tomato salsa were not available-no wifi in room and at a charge in the lobby area - most hotels provide this service free of charge nowadays.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "ee Ibis Hotel"

22nd March 2012, Phoenix, Arizona, USA

1 block to metro and walking distance to supermarket, shops, key points. Metro is the best I´ve seen and so easy to get around. Breakfast is fine but they have no real kitchen for cooking. Within 15 minutes metro to main train station. 3 stops to Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Free 3 hour walking tour is great. 12 euro civil war walking tour is interesting. e had a great time. Spain´s food is not very good and is expensive. Pastries are wonderful.

ibis Madrid Centro: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Not bad"

9th February 2012, Kiev, Ukraine

The room is very ascetic. Also as a hotel. The breakfast is very low. There wasn't any eggs and hot foods. 7 euro is too much for such breakfast. Please fulfill room with shampoo an soap, and bar. But the room was clean and warm. That is why I probably will stay in this hotel next time, but only if price will be cheaper.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice hotel and very close to metro station"

15th January 2012, Zurich

I liked this hotel, first of all because its Ibis and has all its regular features. It was clean, value for money, internet facility and standardization of everything. Secondly, because I like to use public transport and metro station is very close. Internet in the room is very cheap (though would love to have it for free) and connectivity was ok if not very good.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "My considerations"

11th October 2011, Sao Paulo, Brazil

Nowadays a lot of places offer free internet connection to their customers including other Ibis Hotels world wide. Unfortunately this was not the case of this particular hotel. Internet is a handy and imperative resource specially for travelers. But besides that, everything else was very satisfactory. Please consider to provide free internet access to your customers.

ibis Madrid Centro: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Great Place"

29th September 2011, Whitby, Ontario, Canada

We stayed at this hotel twice during our trip to Spain. The staff were exceptional and the service was superb. The location is great for walking downtown old Madrid. Not fancy but very clean, up to date, comfortable and quiet. Would certainly return again.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "I Would Stay There Again"

6th September 2011, Dundee, United Kingdom

I booked the hotel because I have had a good experience with the Ibis hotels, and I wasn't disappointed. The location is very good for getting about in central Madrid and although I was anxious about street from outside given that this is a very lively area and I had an exterior facing room, I was not really disturbed by outside - or inside - noise. The facilities were good, but I decided against breakfast there, partly because I enjoy a breakfast in a Spanish cafe, partly because I thought the breakfast area a little limited. Staff were helpful. I would stay there again, although I thought 89 euros for a night a little expensive.

ibis Madrid Centro: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Good location but lack of services"

14th July 2011, Porto

OK hotel well situated but no parking. A nearby parking is available at extortion rates. For 2days and a half I had to pay 84 euros which is ridiculous. The hotel should have a deal with a nearby parking. The hotel does not have free wi-fi which is not acceptable in this day and age.Breakfast which is extra is very basic but for 6 euros per person you can't expect much.Like all Ibis no refrigerator in the room.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great location..."

6th July 2011, Guarulhos

but the service provided by IBIS was not as good as I was expecting...Too expensive, the room was to cleaned, they just make your bed and that is it...The location is amazing, only 1 minute from the subway station... just one thing, be careful if you are flying with many bags, they have no facilities at the station... no lifts for example...

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great location, great service"

20th June 2011, gaffo, Amsterdam

It is definitely good location to stay with, only 2 mins to Metro station Bilbao, two stops away from Gran via. Nice neighborhood, with restaurant and bars but rather quiet during the night, staffs are really helpful. During the stay I lost my telephone, they even help me with to phone the tourist bus company (twice even). All of them are very friendly, and speak quite good compare with the locals.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great Location, Nice Staff"

4th April 2011, Portland, Oregon

Really enjoyed the Ibis in Madrid. Staff was helpful and it was in a great location - less than a block from the Metro and within a 20 minute walk of downtown and the Prado. The room was large. The neighborhood had a mix of restaurants, shops and grocery stores. There was a large park just a few blocks away and the area felt safe and calm.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good - No surprises"

25th March 2011, Lyon

Good, helpful, friendly service in a hotel that is situated well in Madrid. Everything else is what you would expect of Ibis: clean average sized rooms with all the facilities - including cheap internet (not free), no international channels on the television, and a basic breakfast (though not over priced). Would go again for work trips, but for leisure I would search out something smaller and more homely.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "City Centre"

10th December 2010, London

The Hotel is right in the City Centre, great to access and enjoy Madrid. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The Air-con was a bit loud and there is no parking on site, the nearest car park is 20+ Euro but I highly recommend this Hotel

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great Position"

8th December 2010, Melbourne

Great Location in the University district, only 2 Metro stops from the centre of town, and 1 more to Sol. You can walk if you wish to explore. A lovely part of town and only one change of metro lines to the Airport, buy the tourist metro ticket and the airport trip is included in the price. The hotel is surrounded by Resteraunts, bars, shops and a theatre, plus a great Coffee bar outside the Metro just 150Metres away. All this and all is quiet inside. Lots of people in the street on the nights we were there, but not rowdy. Our room was large on Ibis standards, service good, staff friendly and helpful. Only downside walked past the small entrance the first time, because I pushed the door and did not pull on it, lol. Reception is up about 12 steps, but there is a lift if you need it. Wished we could have stayed longer in Madrid.

ibis Madrid Centro: 3.0 out of 5 stars "15 minutes garantie"

15th November 2010, Tuusula

The handsoup on the wall of bathroom was empty during our two days visit, I asked reception to replace it, that never happened. The officer said I´ll have to wait next morning. I asked for your 15 minutes garantie, I was töld it does not belong to Spain. I saw no excuses or limits in your anouncements on prints on the wall.
