ibis Madrid Centro: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent hotel for quick visit to Madrid"

2nd February 2013, nivsy, uk

Excellent reception staff, room comfort and the small breakfast area provided a good choice with fresh coffee, juice, various cheeses and meats, including the Spannish cured ham, along with cereals and different breads.A great stay in a wonderful location with tapas bars on your door step and staff as friendly and efficicient as we have ever really come across Europe! It is a great choice for a weekend or so. Expect to pay about 36 euros from the airport to the hotel by Taxi or with one change consierably less by Metro to Bilbao - around 5 euros per person....less than 3 minutes away from the hotel. The walk from hotel to centre of Madrid (Sol) around 2o minutes via Gran Via (around 15 mins away) by shopping streets.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Fast Hotel establishment (you will feel like in house)"

24th January 2013

Great reception and receipt with nice employees and fast service that comes a long before 15 minutes that have to solve your problems; attention up to in the minimal mas details and professionalism. Excellent relation quality - price (comfort heating and I rest in very agreeable bed). Central very advisable zone for cultural activities and to eat to have dinner to have breakfast. Do not ask for 4 stars where they are not. He enjoys the set and what they offer (superior)you for what you pay really.

ibis Madrid Centro: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Great Experience"

11th January 2013, Dublin, Ireland

It was an excellent experience. The location is great and the hotel is really good. The staff was helpful and the room clean and tidy. Overall, really good!!! One night we were tired and didn't wanna go out so we decided to get food at the bar. It was good and the night staff was really helpful as well. No complaints!

ibis Madrid Centro: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Parking?"

22nd November 2012, tomiller, Delitzsch, Germany

Although the hotel has a garage under the building but you are NOT allowed to park there. All parking place in the garage contracted with residents around the hotel. NO chance to find parking place on the streets around the hotel. If you are coming with car you can park in the next street garage for 28 euro/day. :-(

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Was nice"

19th November 2012, emilyscout, London, United Kingdom

I liked my accommodation... in the beginning we didn't had cold water. but they fix it in few hours the bed was fantastic, very soft and nice. tv channels was good as well. breakfast was not very good. location is very good and price as well

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Central Madrid Break"

10th November 2012, Medecin15, Ferrals-les-Corbieres, France

Very close to Bilbao Metro Station, the hotel is near enough to be able to walk to the heart of Madrid. Restaurants, bars and cafes are all nearby. The hotel was clean, well-presented and with helpful multilingual staff.

ibis Madrid Centro: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Disappointed"

24th October 2012, Barcelona

Why oh why did the Ibis Centro Madrid stay open during a major refurbishment? I have been fortunate in never previously haing to stay in a building site. No resturant, no lobby, and staff so overworked one couldn't feel anything but sorry for. Management have made a serious mistake and should apologise and compensate all who had to suffer after being seriously not informed of just what we were letting ourselves in for.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good Business class hotel"

17th July 2012, kjcjapan, Seattle, Washington, USA

Good business class hotel. Helpful friendly staff. Has not as of this writing upgraded hotel to free wi-fi like the rest of the chain (said it was due soon). It cost 5 Euros per day. The location was very convienient and was in a typical Madrid neighborhood away from main tourist action but still close to everything. Metro is two minute walk from hotel. Breakfast was not as good as other Ibis hotels but was adaquate unless you stay multiple days (no variety over five days).

ibis Madrid Centro: 3.0 out of 5 stars "smoking rooms"

21st June 2012, cindy_sun, London, United Kingdom

smoking room is allocated while booking non-smoking preferred rooms. due to the full bookings, there is no room to swap.

ibis Madrid Centro: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Centro Madrid June 2012"

21st June 2012, George_9948, Leeds, United Kingdom

The IBIS centro is well located within walking distance of BILBAO and TRIBUNAL Metro Stations. The room was clean and serviced every day, the shower was powerful and provided hand and body wash free. We didnt opt to have breakfast in the IBIS because we found Cafe Commercial at the top of the road which did excellent Cafe Con Tostada which worked out cheaper for us, however the breakfast area always looked clean. The rooms were very well sound proofed and we didnt hear any noise from other rooms or from outside. The mattress was very comfortable. We paid 55euros per night which is very good value for money.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent place"

28th May 2012, Hampshire072, Curitiba

I was two times at Ibis Madrid Centro. Both times I have a pleasant stay. First: the breakfast it is wonderful and second: there are some bars, restaurants and pubs close to hotel. Bilbao metro station it is on the corner and Fuencarrada street has a lot of stores

ibis Madrid Centro: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Front Desk and Internet"

24th May 2012, fontaineauroi11, Paris, France

The front desk should have been able to explain better all the information in english, since it's a chain hotel. Also the internet for 5 euros just for only one device it is a bit pricey.

ibis Madrid Centro: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Home away from home."

12th May 2012, Danio48, Sydney, Australia

I used Ibis Madrid as a base for travels around Spain, as well as several days in Madrid. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Very friendly and helpful, patient with the halting Spanish of their guests (they all speak English) and desperately busy. Location is great - a couple of minutes from the Bilbao metro, and you can walk to the centre of Madrid, la Puerta de Sol, in about 15-20 mins along lively and pleasant streets. Definitely my hotel of choice for my next trip to Madrid, and my strongest reservation to anyone who might ask me about accommodation here.

ibis Madrid Centro: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A good budget hotel very handy for the metro"

30th April 2012, GrahamandPenny, Lewes, United Kingdom

Extremely helpful staff found us a non-smoking room. we often stay in Ibis and value it for consistency and low price. This is a good value hotel and i'd fully recommend it.

ibis Madrid Centro: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Wasn't great for sleeping."

17th April 2012, lachjc, London, United Kingdom

The location was ok for walking into the main part of town, but on the other side of the city to the main train station (about half hour walk). The main problem from this hotel was that there was no option to put the air conditioners on cooling (we were there end of March/start of April) and it was quite a hot night... especially when we put the A/C on 'cooling' but hot air pumped out. The other problem was my pillow was very hard and when I asked if I could get a different one, the staff bluntly said no and that all the pillows in Ibis Hotels are the same. As we stayed at 6 other ibis hotels on this trip, I can tell you that all of the others had good pillows, so this isn't the case.Everything else was fine; rooms, breakfast etc all at the typical Ibis standard and comfort. I would recommend staying here but perhaps at a different time of year, or if your not really going to Madrid to relax/sleep at night. Did I mention there seemed to be parties happening up the street till early hours of the morning?

ibis Madrid Centro: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Sotto le aspettative"

11th April 2012, Zurich, Switzerland

Good location, great breakfast, good receptionst but I got problem due to only availablity of Room smoking.I tried to claim this problem but guy at reception was afraid saying that no more room were available.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Splendid week in Madrid and environments"

1st April 2012, Basel, Switzerland

We liked location only a couple of minutes from the metro and within walking distance to major sites in old part of town, the size of the room, the cleanliness and that most staff were very friendly and helpfulWhat was less impressive was - the limited selection of TV stations - almost only Spanish channels - add a few English and German programmes-the somewhat tired breakfast room and that on certain days staples (in Spain) such as tomato salsa were not available-no wifi in room and at a charge in the lobby area - most hotels provide this service free of charge nowadays.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "ee Ibis Hotel"

22nd March 2012, Phoenix, Arizona, USA

1 block to metro and walking distance to supermarket, shops, key points. Metro is the best I´ve seen and so easy to get around. Breakfast is fine but they have no real kitchen for cooking. Within 15 minutes metro to main train station. 3 stops to Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Free 3 hour walking tour is great. 12 euro civil war walking tour is interesting. e had a great time. Spain´s food is not very good and is expensive. Pastries are wonderful.

ibis Madrid Centro: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Not bad"

9th February 2012, Kiev, Ukraine

The room is very ascetic. Also as a hotel. The breakfast is very low. There wasn't any eggs and hot foods. 7 euro is too much for such breakfast. Please fulfill room with shampoo an soap, and bar. But the room was clean and warm. That is why I probably will stay in this hotel next time, but only if price will be cheaper.

ibis Madrid Centro: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice hotel and very close to metro station"

15th January 2012, Zurich

I liked this hotel, first of all because its Ibis and has all its regular features. It was clean, value for money, internet facility and standardization of everything. Secondly, because I like to use public transport and metro station is very close. Internet in the room is very cheap (though would love to have it for free) and connectivity was ok if not very good.
