"Rome we go!"
22nd May 2012, London, United Kingdom
Very comfortable hotel with great, helpful staff. The only downsides were a small nest of ants in the bath and that for half the holiday only one of the two lifts worked. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was reasonable. I would certainly stay at the hotel again.

It's a nice and clean hotel. All the staff are very friendy. It's close as three metro stations to Termini.
"Not in the centre but very quick to reach the centre on metro, and extremely good value"
1st May 2012, VivienJane, Dorset
From the hotel to the Colosseum stop takes as little as fifteen minutes on the metro, just 1 euro. Hotel also on various bus routes, which do take longer.Hotel very comfortable and well appointed, really more four star than three . We had a privilege room on the corner, which was the best of all types, spacious with a balcony and our own espresso machine. It came as a package with Accor, including breakfast, for stays of three days or more and was excellent value. Staff spoke fluent English. Francesco on the front desk was particularly friendly and helpful, as were the bar staff. Only niggle (and it would not stop us returning) was the palaver over getting usercodes for the wifi network which for some reason (and it did not happen elsewhere) had to be changed every 12 hours. The hotel has no restaurant, but there are two restaurants nearby, le Tunnel and La Lanterna. We found La Lanterna to be more pleasant, with better service and food. For a cheaper option, discovered on our last night, the chicken fast food place, turn left on leaving the hotel, then left onto the main road en route to the metro, a stones throw down. This is not the sort of place I would ever consider normally (never go near a KFC) but it turned out to be surprisingly good and cheap, with excellent crispy roast potatoes, and we also had stewed(fresh) artichokes and grilled vegetables. (I could see that they also make their own pizza, tho we didn't buy pizza). We ate this meal on our balcony with plastic cutlery the hotel had provided, thoughtfully. Also discovered on our last day, was Ahmed's tiny grocers directly in front of the hotel, to the left, like a large cupboard really. He sells a wide range of very good produce, very cheaply- we had excellent tomatoes and strawberries from him, at embarrassingly low prices. Sometimes the most unlikely looking of places can deliver the most.....Not forgetting the excellent laundry to the right of the hotel with charming proprietor who spoke excellent English and charged only 12 euros for a weeks worth of washing from 2 people, returned in only two hours.

"Great hotel"

Hotel and services were better than expected. The only problem is that the metro service ends at 9pm and to get around thereafter was somewhat costly.

Very nice hotel, clean rooms, rich breakfast, very friendly staff, close to public transportation (bus + Metro), I recommend it to everyone...
"Nice and pleasant stay at this hotel"

It was a nice hotel to stay in Roma, good location. 3 metro stations away from Termini station and 5 from Colosseo. Also the bus goes quickly in down-town. The district is residentiel but quiet and pleasant.
"That extra step"
16th February 2012, London, United Kingdom
We arrived at the hotel around 21:45 after an horrendous flight. We asked if the restaurant was open. Hotel does not have a restaurant but the staff directed us to a small restaurant, only 2 minute walk. The hotel said it was good value for money, it was better it was excellent. So thank you to the staff for helping in a time of need.
"Good value for the money"

Our room was a Junior suite, and we had adequate space for us. Bathroom was big and its facilities were new and clean. The wardrobe was small, though. The safe was of adequate size for a laptop computer. Illimited and strong wifi signal all over the hotel. Good bed. Staff was very attentive. Fast check in and check out. We had an issue with the shower in the bathroom which was not properly fixed after their first attempt, but which was properly fixed at the second time. Breakfast was expensive, so we took it in one of the many cafeterias nearby. Location is a matter of preference. If you make a point of a central location, this might not be for you. However, this hotel is two blocks from Bologna metro station, which is 20 min from the major touristic attractions in average. In addition, it is only one station away from Tiburtina train station, from where you can pick up a train that leaves you inside the Fiumiccino airport in 45 min.
"Very good hotel outside the city center, but with quick access to the metro"

I can recommend this hotel to everybody. The rooms were very good, they were clean and everyday everything was refreshed. Most of the people of the hotel are friendly and helpful. The hotel lies very good and you can take the metro on Piazza Bologna and 15 minutes later you stand in front of the Colosseum. There are many good restaurants in the neighborhood and the staff are always helpful to give you some advice. In short: this hotel is very good!
"Good hotel"

Good hotel, perfect airco (it was over 30 degrees in Rome). Close to Piazza Bologna metro sttaion, so easy to travel in Rome. Hotel has good facilities. Equipment was also OK. Even more things to mention? I don't know, but the review has to be at least 200 words.
"Comfort in Rome"
25th September 2011, Goyang, South Korea
comfortable and good location. This hotel is located only 3 station apart from Termini. But, need for information at the Bologna station. I had some difficulty to find the hotel at night. Staffs are kind and helpful. City map are on the desk. Breakfast was average, but Room was clean, and there was no odor.
"A good hotel to stay altough their staff is not so friendly..."
22nd September 2011, Sao Paulo, Brazil
It's a really good hotel (follows the quality level from Accor Hotels), the room is very nice, wide and well equiped. Their localization is not so good, it is far from the downtown. You can get to downtown by subway, but it's very, very crowded (worst than 'Se Station' in Sao Paulo!).The staff hasn't been so friendly (I think it's the standard behaviour from people that live in Rome. I have never seen a so unpolite and rude people!). Rome, nevermore!!
"For Those Who Want to Experience the REAL Roma!"
8th September 2011, Calgary
As indicated in the above review, our stay was ALMOST perfect. We especially enjoyed the fact that the hotel was located in what we believed to be a typical working class neighborhood which allowed us to observe and experience the lives of citizens in their day to day lives. The small cafe on the corner was a real goldmine in this regard. On the other hand, we've rated the service as being only Very Good because on two occasions, we were treated in an UNPROFESSIONAL manner by the two MALE members of the reception staff when asking for assistance. In these cases, we asked for some minor assistance concerning local activities which was either provided in a less than professional manner and in the second case, not at all. Similar requests for assistance from the female reception staff were handled in a cheerful and proficient way. This, what we would call a "bad attitude" on the part of the male staff members, may be something worth investigating if you have received similar negative comments from other guests.A special thank you to Antonella, who arranged for an airport pick-up by e-mail prior to us leaving for Roma
"Very Good as Always"

Disregarding minor weaks points such as :breakfeast less rich in varieties than before, the waiting time for check in (15 minutes) done by a one staff...Mercure Piazza Bologna is still one the best choices any one can take in Rome ,bottom line don't hesitate if u can find a room...
