Mercure Roma Piazza Bologna: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Privilege Room Excellent"

17th February 2013, mrsmrchung, Heidelberg, Germany

I booked 2 different type of rooms, a privilege room for my couple and a standard room for kids. If the gap is not that big, please reserve privilege rooms, standard room is really standard. That's it. The location wise is quite excellent, if you are tram-metro-subway lover.. but my family is car -rider if the distance is 30 step more.... Dun forget the parking fee per night is 25euro.. not small.. 3 nights means 75euro with city tax 2 euro per adult per night also.. Good hotel reliable.

Mercure Roma Piazza Bologna: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Nice place to stay"

8th December 2012, Setonas, Kaunas

It's 3 stops by subway (Bologna station) from Termini. There is a big supermarket near the hotel. Rooms and sleep quality was excellent. Free PC use in the ground floor. Also free printing was possible too. Everything was just great exepct the location. There is nothing to do outside. You must take the metro to go to city center.

Mercure Roma Piazza Bologna: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A very nice and accessible hotel close to Termini (by train)"

4th December 2012, pa0lo8, Cyberjaya, Malaysia

Service: Top notch and they really make you feel pampered especially if you take one of their privilege rooms.Room: Comes with all the bells and whistles of a top hotel (tub, toiletries, safe, slippers) and what I liked the most is the Krups espresso machine (free daily refills) on top of the normal instant coffee.Location: Very close to the Bologna station on line B, but it took us a while to find it since the Mercure sign can't immediately be seen from any of the branching roads from the Bologna piazza. Otherwise, the place is very accessible and safe.Liked best: the service and our room!Liked least: Trying to find the place on our first day.

Mercure Roma Piazza Bologna: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Mecure Rome"

3rd December 2012, darjac, Bruthen, Australia

Room was very small. Service impersonal. Plus is that it is in a nice location and close to train station.Has heating but no air-conditioning - room was very hot in November.Kettle in room needed cleaning before could use. I would not return to this hotel poor value for money.

Mercure Roma Piazza Bologna: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Average hotel for a 4 Star rank"

28th November 2012, Sarmoodi, Amman, Jordan

Went to rome for a presonal time-off on a weekend, the hotel reception staff were very nice, and the check-in (check-out) process was very smooth. The room was ok, but I was given a twin bed room even though I booked a standered room with one "double bed", and this is not the first time I face this with a Mercure hotel (it happedned in Paris few weeks ago as well), and frankly I dont care as long as I was travelling alone, but at least have the courtesy to tell me before you issue me a key (which was the case in Paris). The room was extra warm, but that was easy solved by keeping the window open. I loved the fact that toilet had a "bidet", not often I see this in hotels around Europe.I was abit disappointed to see that the bathroom towel was an old worn out one, I mean I understand that hotels are going through rough times, with increased competetion and all, but how much does a towel really cost.

Mercure Roma Piazza Bologna: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Very good hotel in the centre of Rome City"

15th November 2012, gauravjainprince, Zurich, Switzerland

I stayed at Mercure Hotel in Rome and had a pleasant experience. The hotel is very near to Metro station and it becomes very easy to reach main station and major sight seing places. The rooms are clean and spacious with all the amenities provided. The staff is very friendly and efficient.Overall I would say that one can consider staying in this hotel.

Mercure Roma Piazza Bologna: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent value for price. Subway and buses around the corner."

11th November 2012, Montréal, Québec, Canada

The service we received by the reception desk staff was among the best we've ever received. They were knowledgeable, efficient, pleasant, multilingual and always prompt to answer all requests with a smile. Although the rooms are slightly small, the bedding is very comfortable, cafes and restaurants are close by and the hotel is well linked to all major tourist attractions via local buses and the new metropolitana (subway). A good find.

Mercure Roma Piazza Bologna: 3.0 out of 5 stars "It was O.K"

28th September 2012

The hotel was close to the subway but as a means of transportation the subway was over crowed, dirty and a good place for crime. Good location with resaurants close by and coffee and snack bars around the corner. It was very quiet. I was disappointed in the size of the room but it was a standard so I probably got what is normal for Rome.

Mercure Roma Piazza Bologna: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Perfect place to relax from a busy day in Rome"

4th September 2012, elpiett

A hotel I would definitely recommend for your stay in Rome. Granted, it's a bit out of the center, but it's only a few subway stops away from the Colosseum, and at least you're away from the busy traffic in the center. The hotel is modern and pleasant. A special mention goes to Tomasso the receptionist, who upon check-in immediately and without having to ask for it, got us a map of the city and clearly explained how to go to all the different historic sites, where the club area was and which restaurant to go to in the neighborhood. We had booked a privilege room on the 5th floor, something I can recommend everybody to do. The room is spacious and the bed is just so comfortable. We also got a Nespresso machine and the capsules were refilled daily. It just feels so relaxing to have a nice cup of coffee on your balcony. The room has a nice pleasant feel to it, with curtains that extend over the entire width of the wall. The bathroom is modern and well equipped. I think that you get a few extra bathroom goodies when you take the privilege room. In short: this was a hotel where one felt truly welcome and that offered excellent value for money
