"truly superior!"

I have stayed in the Sofitel Washington a number of times over the years and have found it to be, without exception, a superior hotel. Guest rooms are comfortable and very quiet, beds superb, and the service is stellar, Location is ideal for tourists and business alike. Food is superb--classic French with a contemporary twist. I couldn't recommend any hotel more highly.

"No better staff or service anywhere."

The room! the food! the location! and the wonderful staff. The "3 nights for 2" got me here but it was still a stretch money-wise. Might stay there again sometime though because the service was so friendly, efficient, and kind.

"My favorite hotel in DC"

I travel to DC for business roughly ten times each year. Sofitel is by far my favorite hotel. Reasonable prices, but upscale. Every member of the staff is wonderful. Good location. Whenever I have a choice, I stay here.

"Great hotel, good location"

We stayed here with our five year old daughter. Our room was great - corner of the 10th floor, so a good view and full of natural light from all the windows. The location is a few blocks from the White House, so it was an easy walk to the monuments and museums along the mall. We arrived early in the morning, but were able to check our bags and go sightseeing until the room was ready (although it was ready by 10:30am anyways).We relied on the concierge for restaurant recommendations that would be suitable for a young child, and they didn't steer us wrong. They also were able to get us reservations Saturday afternoon for dinner a few hours later.The only minor complaint I have is that you have to pay for Internet access.
