"Schweinfurt hotel stay"

Beautiful views, in a quiet setting on the river. Great for sleeping! "Food is good, although a little pricey, but the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. II will continue to stay here on my business trips as it is centrally located.

I called the hotel booking representative on the day of my required check-in (17 Februay) to request a cancellation due to an emergency that prevented me from travelling to Schweinfurt. During this time, the hotel representative told me that I could not cancel my reservation with a full or partial refund against my credit card because of the nature of the rate for the hotel room. I asked the representative to have a manager contact me to request assistance with removing the charges from my credit card for unrendered services, he agreed to have someone contact me, and no one ever did contact me. This is the worst example of customer service I have ever experienced. I would have willingly paid a service charge or late fee due to late cancellation, but no refund to my credit whatsoever was totally unacceptable. We chose this hotel as an alternative to Wuerzburg, as there was a wine festival there, and it was difficult to find rooms in the hotels of our choice. We are regular customers of Accor hotels, for their high quality: this one was no exception! The hotel is brand new, breakfast is very good, as well as the restaurant where we had dinner twice. Staff is nice, helpful and capable. We noticed it is specially loved by ciclist, so if you are in the area with your bike, this is the place for you!

Modern hotel with free wi-fi throughout. Well situated and extensive breakfast. Only negative is the typically indifferent German service (restaurant, not hotel). simple requests like wanting coffee are met with icy stares, if they are met at all. But that aside, the food, selection and quality is terrific.
