"Nice choice"

Warm friendly staff. Excellent location. It is very close to Museums island . it is also clean and compact. Breakfast and wifi (in room) not included in room rate. When you compare with the other cafes , breakfast is expensive.

This Hotel is good value for money, the location is excellent with lots of attractions in walking distance. The U-Bahn is close by with great connections to all of Berlin. I can highly recommend the Nikolai district with heaps of pubs and eateries.

Stayed several times before at the hotel. Standard Novotel no-thrill conveniency. Good location for business or leisure around Berlin Mitte. Arrived late and was send off due to overbooking. Quite disappointing being a platinum tier frequent guest program member.

There is no security for this hotel at all. My trolley notebook bag had stollen from breakfast lounge. Hotel staff totally not helpfull for this issue. i felt i had stollen in the street or city square. We called police but because there are no security system camera or any other security related products even police could not do anything. If you decide to stay in this hotel be carefull because hotel does not take any responsibility.

Well situated within easy walking distance of most central Berlin tourist sites. Secure parking below the hotel lets you park the car and use your feet or the excellent public transport to check out the city.

We booked three months in advance to be sure we would have our connecting rooms. We booked superior rooms to make our three night visit special and was quoted 668 EUR including breakfast. Of course no one had noticed this request when we arrived and there was no rooms available with connecting doors - of any grade. As our children are 9 and 12 and we did not want them alone in one room and did not want to split up we were offered a normal room to cram the four of us into. When we came to that room we were told to switch with another family who needed a cot which apparently the room we had been put into had. Needless to say we were not in a good mood the following morning. The breakfast staff were pestering us as our reservation did not indicate breakfast (sic!) - needless to say I told him to back down and consult the reception. After breakfast we talked to the reception that told us that the only alternative to OUR problem - how could it be our problem??? was to take the connecting rooms for handicap purposes - not involving superior rooms. I demanded to have the applicable cost quoted not to have to pay more than originally quoted for superior rooms and not to have to have that discussion with yet another person on check-out. We were indicated 526 EUR including breakfast which we accepted. Guess if I was not impressed to be quoted another price (598 EUR) on check-out. After another irritated conversation we were eventually quoted a third price (491 EUR) which we accepted. Needless to say we will think long and hard before we book with Novotel again which is a pit since we are loyal customers since years. The breakfast buffe is nice and the location great for most things.

Travellers need free wifi, this is the only minus point of the hotel in germany.Novotel don't provide free wifi even in the lobby.The much smaller hotels in Netherland provides free wifi.

location is not bad but not close enough from any main spot. very nice and helpfull staff. I had a room on the back of the hotel, but I didn't like it and they transfered me to a room with a street viey (I recommend).

I brought my two teenagers to Berlin for sightseeing and shopping, we found the perfect hotel, Novotel Mitte. Close to everything and also in a distance for the girls to stay at the hotel in the evening. Very easy to find. Nice rooms, very nice service. We would stay there again.

Without any other consideration I always return to the Novotel in Mitte Berlin. From the moment you walk through the doors you feel a special person with all the staff wanting to look after you during your stay.

I have stayed at the hotel a number of times, which already says something about the quality of the Novotel. Ideally situated on "fisherman's island" (Fischerinsel) you have a lot in walking distance: cathedral, Alexanderplatz, foreign office, shops at Friedrichstrasse and a number of other sights. Railway station "Ostbahnhof" is not too far away either. If you travel to Berlin by car, this is the place to go: nice underground carpark with clearly marked signs, excellent lighting, reserved spaces for women, two doors to elevators and comfy entry system are lightyears away from dark multistorey car parks one sees to often....Hotel rooms are very good, noise-protected and clean... , I stayed on 6th floor out of 7.Breakfast is truly excellent and will exceed expectations with nice Berlin specialties and cakes. The breakfast restaurant is very well staffed, and service flows smoothly. In fact, i cant make up my mind if I like Novotel's breakfast better than Sofitel's in Berlin, and Sofitel is a 5-star-luxury hotel which I consider to be one of the very best in Germany (but there is no garage, and despite good valet service, getting the car is a bit of a nuisance).Drawbacks: hardly any: hotel corridor was smelly, i guess carpets had recently been cleaned and that shampoo smell had not yet disappeared. Three elevators service the hotel, and waiting times were sometimes long. Female staff at the bar was indifferent to customer needs, whereas the men who worked there gave excellent service.All in all: I will come back and can recommend the Novotel without reservations.

A good location with clean spacious rooms. The reception staff need to be more helpful and take time with information and maps. The internet was only free in the lobby on 2 computers which was quite limited.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Novotel Berlin Mitte Hotel. The attention to detail and the service was remarkable. The location is great, just a stone throw from all museums and the main street Unter den Linden and Alexander Platz. Finally, also to mention the excellent restaurant, I would highly recommend the Wildschwein (Boar)

Despite of a problem with the water the hotel service is good. Near from Alexander Platz and good value for money. I recomend specially when you travelk with kids.The room is small but have good confort as bath and a big bed.

Personnel was very nice, friendly, price ok, rooms nice although I would like to see woodden floor everywhere because I'm allergic. The only big problem was the deformed mattress and the shapeless pillow. Not reaching from far the standards of the rest, certainly not a four stars. For the rest it was a pleasant experience.

We were on a family holiday to Germany and included 4 days in Berlin as part of the trip. Arriving at Berlin Hauptbahnhof it was easy to change to a train to Alexanderplatz and then the U-bahn to Spittelmarkt Station which was then an easy walk to the hotel. The Manager at reception was excellent and gave first rate advice on seeing Berlin and booked our tickets on the BSS City Circle tourist 'hop on-hop off' bus. Great value at 22 euro for 2 days. The rooms were great (I'd booked 3 for the family). Drinks in the bar were good value and relaxing. Took a taxi back to the Berlin Hbf (only 12 euro) for the departing ICE train. The hotel is really handy to the best shopping in Friedrich Strasse. Excellent location and value.

Clean and quiet hotel with good location at the center of the city with charming service. Good access with the earby U Bahn to whole city and enviroment. Tegel Airport with taxi costs resonable as around 22 Euros. Good rich open buffet breakfast. Helpful reception.

The Hotel was ideal for touring Berlin. It was on the east side of the City near Alexanderplatz which had many facilities including an excellent transport system, which meant we could travel all over the City.The Hotel restaurant was a bit expensive, particularly drinks but there is a very close shopping area full of eateries[many are traditional German food] and one or two bars. Alexanderplatz was no more than 10 minutes away for a further selection of bars and restaurants.The City has beautiful old and new architecture and in most areas it is spotless. The New Year festivities were amazing on a huge scale with streets strewn with debris after an all day firework celebration, a huge food and drink market and music all day long. However there was no trouble anywhere that we saw and the streets were cleaned and up and running early the next morning. A fantastic trip!
