"Best experience in a long time"

Just completed a wonderful 6 night stay at Sofitel Buenos Aires with my wife. The service quality and friendliness of the staff are amazing. Want to give a special shout out for Maria, the brilliant concierge, and Juan, the most helpful receptionist you can imagine. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is delicious and includes a well presented buffet as well as plenty of a-la-carte items. Room Service is quick and professional. We are sure to return for another treat! Location is good. Close to Retiro train station. Walking distance to good restaurants and shopping. A cab to Puerto Madero will set you back 30 Pesos.View management response »

Really enjoyed staying in the Sofitel in Buenos Aires. The staff were exceptionally friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food& cocktails in the bar were excellent. I would not write home about the breakfast - it was fine. The rooms were very comfortable and the location perfect. My only complaint was the internet - it was up and down constantly and you had to keep logging on. We had better internet access in other hotels during our travels.Overall I would return to the Sofitel.View management response »

Helpful staff, receptionists, breakfast staff and bellboys. Clean and tidy. Class. I want back all the time.Small fitness center. Only disadvantage. And there is no pool. It is still relatively hot country. You want to be some day by the pool.But apart from these small downsides - when in BA, the perfect hotel for a bit finer wallet.View management response »

The hotel is lovely, its position excellent. We have stayed here previously but the hotel needs a manager.We left our room at 08.00 and returned at 16.00. No one hand attempted to make up the room. Also, i sent laundry which shopuld have been delivered to the room by early afternoon. I had to phone at about 22.00 to get it delivered.

It might be perfect if you gave us the opportunity to choose between different kind of pillows and sheets. If the room was cold (as I like it) it would have liked to have one sheet to get cover and not the whole feather quilt.Service, meals, room, kindness, was absolutely perfect.View management response »

Great hotel, Great room, was even upgraded to a luxury room with an amazing view over BA. Staff very friendly and helpfullLocation is not the most central one but remains near the main things to see. subway station within a 5 mins walk distance. Small Carrefour market if needed next to the hotel.View management response »

This beautiful hotel oozes French elegance and grandeur, with a very lovely light-filled lobby, elegant and cozy library/cafe and a charming French restaurant . The concierge and his assistants at the front desk were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is located on a leafy, quiet and safe street, steps away to a convenient store and a supermart, and delicious empanadas at a small restaurant called Costumbres Criollas around the corner :)
