Mercure Napoli Garibaldi: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent hotel at a great location"

10th May 2012, AJ_made4u, Belfast, United Kingdom

I stayed for 3 nights and i must say my stay was well worth it. Very helpful and co-operative staff. Rooms were very clean though it could be better. Breakfast was excellent. At least one hotel in Italy where wi-fi worked as advertised. Station and bus stop very near. If you want to go to Capri/Sorrento or Pompeii/Vesuvius, perfect location. if you are hard pressed for time and think you might miss the train or bus, no worries, hotel staff will arrange taxi for you at a very cheap rate. Highly recommended.

Mercure Napoli Garibaldi: 4.0 out of 5 stars "good value for money hotel with pretty good location"

5th April 2012, Warsaw, Poland

hotel located close to piazza garibaldi which has not so good reputation ; in fact it is not so bad if you accept old Naples as it is ; you will enjoy the perfect location close to centro storico , railway station and circumvesuviana line if you are going to visit not only Naples but also Pompeii,Vesuvius, Sorrento,Amalfi ...; close to hotel there are two very good traditional pizzerias : da donato and alla brace; hotel offers good service ; rooms are spacious ; breakfast is also good (sfogliate's are as good as in the city )

Mercure Napoli Garibaldi: 4.0 out of 5 stars "way better than others in naples - but still not great"

4th April 2012, Barcelona, Spain

I've been in tons of accor hotels - but only in England. I chose an accor hotel in italy because i thought it would be the same quality - and it isn't. It's not bad, but neither excelent. The room smelled weird. The staff was excelent. If I had to go again, I would choose this hotel again - because compared to the others, this is the best. But don't expect the same kind of hotel you would find in England.

Mercure Napoli Garibaldi: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Top hotel"

12th September 2011, London, United Kingdom

The hotel is located very close to the main station. A tastefully modernised and very-clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent, with a selection of hams, cheeses, bread rolls, cereals, juices, yogurts and home-made Italian-style cakes. A computer in the foyer provides guests with free access to the internet. The beds were firm and comfortable. The linen was spotless. The room had a modern flat-screen TV, a bar fridge and a modern bathroom. A real bargain.

Mercure Napoli Garibaldi: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Worth staying 1 or 2 nights"

24th July 2011, Bucharest

The weak points are: very old carpet in the rooms (should definitely be changed), the beds are quite bad - i woke up every morning with back pain, the hotel is very close to some railways (backside) and you'll hear and feel every train passing by.It still offers very good value for the money paid but I wouldn't stay more than a night or 2.

Mercure Napoli Garibaldi: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Convenient hotel"

10th June 2011

The hotel is in a very convenient location, ideal for train travellers either passing through or staying for longer periods in Naples. Staff are very helpful and the facilities are all reliable and well looked after.

Mercure Napoli Garibaldi: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Value for money"

7th June 2011, Piera

When you arrive to Garibaldi Square and you see all the rubbish and dirtiness you imagine all will be the same, however you find a fantastic surprise when you arrive to the hotel and all is clean and its staff is very kind. The hotel is very well situated because is only 2 minutes from the Vesubiana and the metro. Maybe the neighbourhood seems a bit dangerous, but there is any problem if you are allert. The hotel gives you free tickets for one day transport of the city and the internet is free.By the way if you go to Naples don't forget to visit the Solfatara in Pozzuoli (metro line 2), you will see real fumarolas of the unknown Vesubius twin.I recommend you the hotel very much.

Mercure Napoli Garibaldi: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Really helpful staff, right in the town center and great value"

25th March 2011, Philadelphia, PA

The staff were VERY polite and helpful. The location is less than 50 yards/meters from the major train station and bus stops so is easy to get to from the Airport (take the 3 Euro Alibus to Garibaldi). The internet is 3 Euros for a few hours but REFILLS are free and unlimited - a little strange but basically that means it's 3 Euro for your entire stay. There is also a free bus shuttle to the other Mercure near the port, but we did not try this. The room was very quiet and had a balcony overlooking the narrow streets next to the hotel.

Mercure Napoli Garibaldi: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Just OK"

24th March 2011, homecook157, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Room was in need of updating, paint, carpeting. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The shower doors leaked quite a bit of water onto the floor. It was located over a railway line which at least ended by 23:00H. It started up again at about 6:00H. After initial internet card of 3€ for 3 hours expired, the free 24 hour access extension had to be renewed after only 10 - 12 hours. Inconvenient to have to go back down to the desk to acquire a new renewal card. If you are not too fussy, its passable.

Mercure Napoli Garibaldi: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Very unsafe surroundings and unfriendly staff"

8th March 2011, Hyderabad

We had to get back to the hotel by 7 p.m because the surrounding areas were very unsafe with rowdy people staring at you when you walk on the streets. A lot of shopkeepers also warned us about mafia snatching your jewelry/watches while walking on the streets after dark. Hotel staff was unfriendly. They messed up with our prepaid breakfast reservation and with the billing rate as well. The only good parts of the hotel were location (close to the railway station - easy to get to pompei / sorrento) and the rooms were decent. However the beds had spring mattresses that made noise !They did not have any adapters for foreign tourists and the reception staff were arrogant.

Mercure Napoli Garibaldi: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Mercure Napoli Garibaldi"

14th February 2011, Firenze

Very helpful staff. Good breakfast. Location wasn't the best, but everything else more than made up for that. Close to the station. Don't get a cab, they'll rip you off. Walk across the road instead. It's only around the corner.

Mercure Napoli Garibaldi: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Il Servizio Piu comodo per un prezzo piu conviniente!"

14th January 2011, amraladdin, Lecco

I'm not good in writing in Italian, but in general, I thought the accommodation was amazing, the staff were really friendly, we didn't need anything there! I was sad while leaving the hotel :)
