"Useful Paris Base"

Good location in terms of being able to park in a secure car park and take the metro from Porte de Montreuil into the centre. We reached the Eiffel Tower (a short walk from the Trocadero stop) in approx 30 minutes from leaving the hotel. We found the staff helpful. The room/space was fine for our family of 4 (children aged 12 and 7) for our single night stop over to see a few sights before heading to EuroDisney the next morning. The room was supposed to be non- smoking but did smell quite strongly of stale smoke, and I would advise making specific enquiries before booking. The room seemed in need of refurbishment, but the smoky smell probably added to that impression. The children's pull out beds appeared to be full size singles so would be OK for teenagers. The breakfast facilities were too limited for the number of people there - not enough space for people to help themselves, and queues for hot drinks. Also, needed a few more tables. The breakfast buffet food was OK with reasonable choice and unlimited quantities.
"The big rip off"

The cleanliness has so much to be desired, neon sign lights shinning into room all night a bar which closes before midnight and does not allow residential drinking. Added to the most appalling breakfast at the most highl inflated prices you ever imagined. Do yourself a favour stay away!
"Sleepless in Paris"

This appartment style hotel is on the Paris ringroad some distance from the centre but with 2 metro stations within walking distance getting around is no problem. The rooms are stylishly furnished but a big drawback was an aitconditioning system that did not work meaning the windows had to be left open at night with the constant noise of traffic from the ringroad making sleep difficult.
"Good Stay"

Spacious room with fridge and microwave. Receptionists and other hotel staff polite enough. Hotel situated near a Carrefour and McDonald's. We bought our dinner from the rotisseries in Carrefour and warmed it up in the microwave. The area is not in the centre of Paris but very accessible by metro. Overall, a very good stay.

"Room service"

Front office staffs was not friendly and my complaint regarding the broken shower in the bathroom was not followed up. The cleaner did not check the availability of the soap and tissue in the toilet..
"Family tango in Paris"

Good hotel, good location, good attentive staff. Did get a bit too busy at breakfast time (could have done with a few more staff).Very basic continental breakfast which runs out quickly when they are busy. Located between two Metro stations. There is also a flee market in front of the hotel that runs Saturday to Monday.Good stay overall
"Good"

Everything OK. Good family room, surprisingly spacious (we were 3 adults and 1 child). The microwave oven was a plus, especially with a supermarket round the corner. The bathroom / kitchen / toilet unit is brilliant, and we were surprised that no steam or humidity came to the sleeping area. Only little problem: A faint unpleasant smell in the toilet. The hotel is located far from the city centre, but it's a 5 min walk to the nearest Metro station.Good on all counts.
"Nice concept, shame about the staff and surrounding area"
8th August 2011, auckland
On the plus side, the room style is a nice concept and worked well for a family of four (kids both <12). TV and internet were great and you could just about do breakfast in the room and keep some picnic lunch provisions. Downside was that we stayed Sat-Mon. These are the local flea market days and the market activity takes up all of the space between the hotel and the Metro. This was at times intimidating and created a dirty environment. The staff member at arrival was very bored and unhelpful. We had a problem with our door keys and it took an hour to sort out - not great after a long journey, tired and hungry. We felt as if we were a nuisance, when it wasn't our fault. A shame, because it tainted our visit.
"good for leisure"

hotel found to be just at the entry of the city. Value for money. But away from city centre can cause delays in reaching out to places and costly for hiring taxis. The bathroom glass windows should have frosted panes instead of transparent.Generally everything is okay. Can recommend.
"Not suitable for family stay"
4th July 2011, Singapore
We stayed at Novotel Porte de Montreuil from Juen 27/2011 till July 1/2011 and the stay was rather forgettable. The cleanliness in the rooms leaves a lot to be desired and the service is very poor. The staff struggle to communicat ein English and I couldnt make a taxi reservation in the morning because the staff at the front desk couldnt understand what time i wanted the taxi !! To top it all one night a drunk man kept banging on our door requesting us to let him in. Eventually he left after 5 min but left his jacket and backpack at outside our door. When I infirmed the front desk in the morning they simply shrugged off the incident....Seems more like a motel by the highway !!
"Stay in Suite Novotel Paris Porte de Montreuil"
27th June 2011, New Delhi
It was a very pleasant stay - small things in the room made it special. The unlimited Wi-fi access, the unlimited local and national phone calls, having a folded blinds so that the room effectively becomes two rooms where one of the persons can sleep while other works on the computer. The staff was very efficient and professional. They even went out of their way to help us. When we wanted a printout of an e-ticket, they were glad to help. The only drawback - the location. It is good 30 minutes - possibly involving atleast one train change - to reach the Porte de Montreuil Metro and then a walk for 10 min. Overall a good value for the money.
