"Long Weekend in Budapest"

We have just returned from a long weekend in Budapest and stayed at the Sofitel Chain Bridge. Having stayed at Sofitel hotels previously we had high expectations and the hotel lived up to the standards we'd expected. The location right by the Danube is fabulous and it is well worth upgrading to a room with a river view especially for the views at night. The hotel is within walking distance of most sights in central Budapest. especially the palace on the Buda side of the river, Parliament, Christmas market , and the shopping streets like Vaci utca and Andrassy utca. Staff were superb and nothing was too much trouble. Book a stay at the Sofitel Chain Bridge - you will not be disappointed!

Lovely Hotel! Very convenient to Christmas Markets.. We Enjoyed our stay in Sofitel Budapest. Rooms are quiet and staff very helpful. Bar was very lively and extremely comfortable. Staff were friendly and very good at their jobs

"Budapest Connection"

Everything was just superb though kind of steep but we were upgraded. Received a complimentary champagne as our wedding anniversary. Definitely worth staying and will definitely stay there again and recommend to friends.

"Excellent Hotel - Top Notch"

The best bed we had in Europe for sure, during a 4-week stay in 3 countries. Absolutely perfect accommodation with the highest attention to detail. Room was on the sixth floor with a Danube view - which was definitely worth the upgrade. The location gives you stunning views of the Danube, Castle Hill, the Chain Bridge and at night it's simply extraordinary. I would like to make mention of the concierge, who gave us fantastic restaurant recommendations, as well as pointing us to a chamber music concert that provided us a lovely evening. What more could one want but to be listening to theHungarian Rhapsody and the Four Seasons in an historic church in Budapest! I would highly recommend this hotel to the most discerning customers.

A very comfortable stay. The only problem was the shower ran over the floor as the seal was broken around the glass door. Service was excellent overall, however it was difficult to get eggs at breakfast time as the egg station was unmanned for some time. Dinner in the restaurant in the evening was excellent and the staff were very knowledgeable on the local cusine and wines produced in the region, a very memorable meal.The bed was wonderful and a good nights sleep is gauranteed.

Right from Check-in the hotel impressed me. Their staff are very helpful, all of the people we dealt with spoke very good english. They were very helpful in directing us around the city and what to do. The hotel was one of the best that we have stayed in.
