"Not Worth the Location"

We chose this hotel due to it's location to the main train station but it was not worth it. The elevator was broken and would not stop at the 5th floor -- which is where we were located. There was not help or compensation for this. We had to go to the 6th floor and carry our own bags down a narrow and dangerous stairway to our room. The staff did not apologize for the problem or offer to help. The breakfast was expensive. This hotel was poor at best and not worth the location.

Rooms are basic but good price and value, especially for staying in Paris. Close proximity to Gare de Lyon meant access to transport throughout Paris was easy.Provided all we needed for a short stay.No view but if you want a view then expect to pay a lot more. Outside noise was not a problem.

Excellent location in downtown Paris near Metro and RER A for easy access to RER B to Roissy (crossing at Les Halles). Very clean room and excellent service, free internet, tiny room but efficiently laid out.

Well located for arrival/departure to/from Gare de Lyon. Walking distance from Bastille. Rooms are typically small. Wifi access good. Not for long term stays or if you intend to spend more time than just sleeping in the rooms (as they are small) but clean, staff nice and location good.

We find the Ibis hotels clean and pleasant, with an extensive choice at breakfast. Personally, I find the duvets too warm in summer, so I did not sleep too well. There was air-conditioning, which meant one could keep the windows shut to avoid street noise.

Rooms were well cleaned and comfy. The reception staff generally were rather indifferent towards us tho one of them was quite friendly. No problem getting back in late at night. We weren't tempted to breakfast in the hotel preferring to try a cheaper option in nearby cafes.

room 207 was very cramped and uncomfortable. the bed was smaller than on our previous stay. a light bulb was flashing off and on which made it feel uncared-for. we would not want to stay at ibis again if we had to have a room like this.

Great access to metro. No elevator or escalator in metro though, so if you have heavy bags you will have to carry them up/down stairs. hotel has small lift and has luggage storage in basement (lockers)Staff very accommodating. Good breakfast.

Pleasant staff, great neighborhood restaurants nearby, and on several Metro lines. I have stayed at this hotel for 8 years now, and would not stay elsewhere. A short walk to Jardin des Plants, the Bastille, and the Seine riverfront. Metro line 1 goes to La Defense, Arche de Triomphe, Tuleries, the Louvre, Hotel de Ville, Les Halles -- and intersects with most other Metro lines.
