ibis Praha Wenceslas Square: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Good value"

2nd March 2012, Bolton, United Kingdom

Good transport connections with the Metor and tram make this hotel easy to find. It is reasonably well located for sightseeing and the staff were welomng on arrival. The bar staff and housekeepers were also very friendly. Breakfast offered a good selection of options. Overall the hotel was queit, clean and warm and offered good value for money.

ibis Praha Wenceslas Square: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good hotel but can be easily improved"

1st September 2011, Coimbra, Portugal

The Ibis Praha Wenceslas Square is a typical fine Ibis hotel. However, the parking in unsually expensive: 20 euros for a 24h stay, while in Germany, for example, the usual price for Ibis parking is 10 euros (even 8 euros or free for Etap hotels). As CR doesn't use the euro, it woul be very usefull an ATM machine at the hotel or an exchange service, specially due to the unfair rates that exchange stores practice under some circunstances, such as, for example, amounts under 1000 CZR

ibis Praha Wenceslas Square: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Parking"

2nd August 2011, SI 3270 Laško

Parking is very expensive (30% of the room). Among the published information the price of parking is not present. This hotel I recommended to friends but with a warning on the expensive parking.Pre-authorization on my credit card in the amount of estimated cost I understand as your mistrust.

ibis Praha Wenceslas Square: 3.0 out of 5 stars "I felt I could have chosen better.."

1st August 2011, Philhelline, London, UK

I booked this hotel because it was on a half price special offer from Accor Club. If it hadn't been half price I would have said it was poor value for money. It's not just the price of the room, but the 20 euros a night parking charge which I felt was excessive. There was no alternative however - all the surrounding streets are residents-only parking. It was difficult to find the way in to the hotel due to the one-way system: eventually I parked nearby and reconnoitred on foot to find the way in. I then found it difficult to get out of their underground car park, due to poor signage! The room was small, but not problematically so. The location was a bit off the beaten track - definitely not Wenceslas Square (despite the name) and a fair walk to the old city. If I visit Prague again I will find a different hotel.

ibis Praha Wenceslas Square: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Average location, dangerous subway (beware of the pickpocket)"

20th July 2011

I would say the hotel location is average. the subway is nearby which is 8 minute walk however, It is really hard to find the hotel if you reach at night. People in prague are pretty unhelpful, to be honest. The subway is HORRIFIED!!! Pickpocket can just RIGHT beside you at anytime!! This happen to my dad where a lady enter the subway same time as us and wondering around us. Next second, my sister found her hand in my dad's pocket and try to get the wallet!!!!l. We yell at her, she took her hand away act like nothing. It happen around 9am at the subway near the hotel. She dress up black shirt with jeans and waist bag over her chest.the hotel is pretty clean. however, sadly i found a few drops of urine stain on the toilet bowl which show that the cleaner might not be too alert. in general, hotel was clean, staff are really helpful.

ibis Praha Wenceslas Square: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Vist to Prague"

14th July 2011, Edinburgh

Idealy situated with trams and underground nearby. Well within walking distance of Wenceslas square and the old town. Staff very helpful . Buffet breakfast well presented. This is our second vist to this hotel and we would have no reservations in using it again when visiting Prague.

ibis Praha Wenceslas Square: 1.0 out of 5 stars "Unhappy with Situation"

2nd May 2011, Caloundra

I would like to make a complaint about the ibis hotels. I booked a room in the ibis hotel in Prague at I.P.Pavlova over a month and a half ago reservation number F1Y-037k. When I arrived I was informed that I no longer had a room and was shoved on the outskirts of the city at the panorama hotel. The reason I chose the Ibis hotel was for two factors. Firstly I wanted a station on the tram and train line and central to Prague. Secondly, I am an accor member and I do 5-10 overseas trips a year on business. This is now the second time this had happened.I was promised to be upgraded to a better hotel. The hotel I was put in was in a bad area of town and was in face cheaper than the Ibis I had booked.http://www.---------.com/Ibis/photo.JPGWhen I arrived at the panorama hotel I was given a twin share room. I have been on a holiday with hostels for the last two weeks. I booked a double bed and got two singles.http://www.optomhelp.com/Ibis/photo-2.JPGI also arrived to a dirty room with an unclean toilet.http://www.optomhelp.com/Ibis/photo-1.JPG When I complained, I was told that the hotel was fully booked. And I could not change my room. I would like to say that I am insulted but that is an understatement. I have been shipped to a cheaper hotel, in a more dangerous part of town, at a cheaper rate, without the specifications I booked with including having to use taxis as I could not even walk home from dinner from a restaurant near my friends hotel. It cost me almost a hundred dollars extra and more time to get to everything than the hotel I booked and received confirmation from. I am an Accor member but without the problem being rectified I am unhappy with the situation. This is well below what I expect of an Accor hotel. David O'Neill.

ibis Praha Wenceslas Square: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Spring Break"

15th April 2011, Liverpool

We arrived at 11:45pm from airport and were greeted by very friendly reception staff. Our room was immaculate, quiet and comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent with a huge range of food and drinks, accommodating all dietry requirements. The hotel was very close to the "metro" and trams...route plans available at Hotel.Small licensed corner shop and a newsagent just 100m from hotel.Only down side was we had to request tea/coffee making facilities for our room at a cost of 5€/day...taken for granted in UK

ibis Praha Wenceslas Square: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great hotel for a great price"

8th April 2011, kmack143, American in Germany

We love this hotel chain and have never been disappointed. The staff spoke English, the rooms were clean and a good size and they had secure, covered parking. The WiFi was free, but sketchy at times. Our dislikes were pretty minor- the bed was uncomfortable, but not unbearable, parking was 20 euro a night which we thought was a bit pricey and it's a 25 minute walk from Old Town. We will definitely stay in this chain again, though next time we will probably stay closer to Old Town.

Hello, The single fact was that the room was not heated when I arrived and I freezed; the personal is very kind - they offer you rupport in everything you need. They even have thickets for public transport. prague is ok to visit in summer - not when outside is freezing.Kr,Madalin Ilie

ibis Praha Wenceslas Square: 2.0 out of 5 stars "NO BATH TOWELS"

7th January 2011, ATHENS

Expensive rate for the room!!The hotel provided only a pair of small towels. No bath towels were available even on request!!!!! Very small rooms!!! our double room!!!!! was 3x4 meters. No refrigerator in the room. not even a bottle of water.the room was facing a wall!!! very dismal view of course!!! Staff very professional, polite and helpful.

Management responseDear Guest,I would like to thank you very much for your review and your feedback. I really appreciate your comment concerning the staff. This is where our main effort currently goes and I can see it brings the result. Concerning the size of the room and bath towel there is unfortunatelly not much I can do about. Both refers to the Ibis standard. Despite of all this I hope you have enjoyed yor trip to Prague and I would like to thank you for having chosen our hotel for your stay.
