"O2 IRON MAIDEN HOTEL - CHEAPEST"
14th August 2013, edwardemms, Newport, United Kingdom
Ok, so if you are off to the o2 in london - this is a cheapish hotel and approx £15 taxi ridefor the event i attended - it was the cheapest hotel for the distanceAs with all IBIS hotels - they are clean and basicif you want a kettle ect - this is not for you. This participial hotel is next to a very busy road - duel carriage way and we did get road noise all night. Not worth the £80 ish price tag the billboard said outside but i paid £46 and this in honest is ok but top money for this type of roomView management response »

"Good value for money"

Good choice of continental breakfast, rooms clean and good for price paid. Bus stop within walking distance and Tesco, tube is further than expected. Great location for what we needed on this particular stay in London.View management response »

"simple, far, but good."
24th July 2013, pauloantoniojr, Dublin, Ireland
I`ve chosen to stay on Ibis Barking because of the price. Said this, i cant complain about the simplicity of the room. Barking is a region very far from the city center, on the other hand, the trip on express train ( C2C ) takes you to there in 15 minutes you can buy the day ticket to connect to the underground line. If you`re thinking about going by underground straight away, it`s going to take forever to arrive. Furthermore, the region doesn't give you the best feeling of security.on the arrival the floor of the shower was dirty because of the drain, apart from that, i have no complains about staff or service.on average, i think it worth the value paid.View management response »

Ok for a very basic room. The toilet and shower are in seperate rooms and the sink is in the sleeping quarters. The toilet itself doesn't have a toilet seat so you are expected to sit on the rim of the toilet. There are no locks on bathroom/shower rooms. We were expected to put the sheet on the bed ourselves as these weren't made. Second night they came in and gave fresh towels but didn't tidy or clean the room. There were still stains on sink and beds weren't touched.View management response »

"Our stay at Ibis budget Barking"
30th June 2013, traveller_19283746, Eindhoven, The Netherlands
We had a clean but basic room. The staff is friendly and helpfull. Good connection to the tube as Barking railway station is within 10 minutes walking distance. A selection of restaurants is around the Barking railway station where we found a nice Indian place to have our dinner.View management response »

"value for money"

Staff very helpfull, bed shower and toilet just what we needed. Short walk to tesco and underground. Only negative point were other guests slamming doors and shouting one night. But that is not the hotel''s fault.View management response »

"Sleepless in Barking"
10th February 2013, aarvaark, Manchester, United Kingdom
This is the worst Etap/Ibis hotel I have ever stayed at. The place is full of foreign workers who seem to spend the whole night talking and shouting down the corridors. Women are just as bad, screaming and shouting at each other all night. If I was tired when I checked in I was even more so the following mornings. The hotel is poorly run with no staff to speak of to address things to other than the receptionist.(A decent enough person). Another lesson learned the hardway. Marginally better than Formula 1 !View management response »
