While staying in the room there was a smell of weed and cigarettes coming from the ventilation. While I was sleeping at night, I smelled an intense amount of weed. I almost got high. Cleaning was not very sufficient. The reception was helpful. It is almost impossible to reach the hotel by public transportation after a certain time at night.

Management staff were helpful, friendly and keen to speak English which was very helpful; unfortunately we cannot say the same for the room cleaning staff who we found gruff and aggressive.

Quite far from a station but a good selection of bus stops nearby. The property could be tidied up as it is very untidy outside in the car park.

We initially booked a room for 3 adults for a a duration of 5 days, even though we had a confirmed booking, our room was cancelled without notice 2 hours prior our arrival. Please note that we were at the hotel at noon and we were waiting for the receptionist to come back to his desk for 2 hours even though we mentioned on the online check in that we'll be at the hotel before 14h00. The receptionist was condescending and clearly stated that he cancelled our booking because he thought that we used the booking for visa purposes!!! And even asked us if it was our first time in France. We end up staying there only for one night and decided to changed hotel the following day. All in all, we were greatly dissatisfied and would not recommend Ibis budget Gennevilliers to anyone else. We hope that this message will be taken into consideration for future bookings so that this situation will not repeat itself with other guests.
