OK service, rooms and the exclusive restaurant - but - 24-h restaurant !! - and room service offers has not been changed for severeal years.Fantastic whwn you have to go further out of Atens Airport - but the price is MUCH to high.

Greece is at the top of my travel list every couple of years, and I must travel for 24 -30 hours to visit Greece from the west coast of British Columbia, Canada.To recover from, or prepare for this arduous journey, Sofitel is an absolute must on my itinerary .It provides all the comfort, convenience and excellent service I need to insure that enjoy my travels . The value is good for me as long as the prices remain at reasonable levels for my retirement income.

"Excellent stopover"

We were heading to Paros and decided to have a one night stopover at Athens before continuing to our final destination. The reason for staying in Athens instead of travelling straight to Paros was our 6 months old baby. We thought that it would have been too sterssful for the little one. Anyway, we arrived at Athens in the evening and headed straight to Sofitel Athens Airport hotel. They took care of our luggage, check-in went smoothly and there was a baby cot in our room ready for the baby. The next day we continued our journey to Paros, check-out was as smooth as check-in. So from my point of view this is excellent hotel for stopovers. Very good!

just opposite the airport, we arrived late and left early and seized the time to sleep well. Just a bit expensive

As we had an early morning flight out of Athens to Istanbul the location of the hotel was perfect. It was very clean and when we asked for extra milk for our coffee it arrived within 3 minutes. I think it is a very expensive hotel at which to stay, at least for our usual budget minded travel, but one splurge is OK I guess.

This hotel is the only hotel within walking distance of Athens Airport. It is an excellent hotel. The beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept in. All the rooms are soundproofed and although you are very near the runways you cannot hear any aircraft noise what so ever nor your neighbours in the next rooms. Sometimes it is so quiet you feel as though you are the only people staying there. The staff are kind and attentive and always remember us when we return. The food is good quality and plentiful. There are airport monitors in the reception area and dining room. You can also see them in your room on the TV. We would recommend any one to use the Athens Airport Sofitel.

I always stay here the last night before my long journey home to Australia. The hotel is conveniently located and in addition it is very clean. The staff are also very friendly and the quality of the food at the restaurant s excellent.

If you have a morning flight out of Athens, staying here makes everything much easier. Getting a taxi in Athens can be difficult and expensive. When you stay at the Sofitel you can just walk across the street and be there without the stress of waking early and traffic.The rooms are very nice with great beds that you might find hard to get out of. It's a bit expensive but well worth it.

"Another pleasant stay"

Conveniently placed hotel for those in transit - 2 minutes from termonal - very quiet. Another comfortable and relaxing stay and many thanks for the upgrade. Has own underground car park if needed - particularly good in summer.

This hotel is ideal for overnights between flights out of Athens. The rooms are modern and clean. I especially like the shower/bath combination. I always stay here the night before flights back to the US from Athens.

"Excellent stay"

I had the pleasure to stay one night again in the Sofitel airport hotel. The staff was really very helpfull, asked me if I wanted to have a late check-out right at check in. Had an excellent sleep in a very comfortable bed. Stylish room, rainshower seperate from the bath, seperate toilet. Went to breakfst at 10:30 closing time, but still got service with a smile and 2 times juice at the table. Really can't think of anything negative except for that it is not a bargain. When you go there try the small pool upstairs and look at the runway while swimming!

The hotel is excellent! However, the rates are very high and not justified for Greece especialy during this period. Most of the other hotels in Greece are offering half price or less since many are practicaly empty!!
