ibis Chesterfield Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "UK Ibis tops the continental Ibis hotels"

11th May 2012, pogson, southlondon

This was our first stay at an Ibis in the UK. Although we frequently stay at the Ibis hotels in France mainly for their consistent quality and value, we found the helpfulness of the staff and service at this hotel to be exemplary. A very large spacious room and 2 pillows each for a change, instead of the usual 1 on the bed and another in plastic wrap as is standard in France.

9th April 2012, Deano51, Rotherham, United Kingdom

The hotel is fine, but feel that it is a little expensive for what it is, it is situated ok but is a short walk from the town center and therefore a little over priced as there are hotels in the town center for the same price

ibis Chesterfield Centre: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Chesterfield"

18th March 2012, Taunton

Breakfast cutlery always sticky and clearly have a problem with the kitchen dishwashing machine. I have raised the matter with staff, and always replace the cutlery, but it’s the same the following day or my next visit.

ibis Chesterfield Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Functional local hotel"

1st March 2012, OldtravellerDevon, Devon

Very typical Ibis hotel with good clean rooms for guests, but no frills and an appropriate price to match. Food quality is poor, but cheap. The bar is ok. The hotel's position on a busy roundabout is convenient, but can be noisy if you like the window open!

ibis Chesterfield Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "recednt stay"

24th February 2012, Brecon, United Kingdom

Excellent value for money, warm, clean and comfortable. Food was good in the restaurant and staff are very helpful indeed.. The hotel location isgreat, near motorways and town centre, stations etc. It used to be a Holiday Inn express so you will know what to expect.

ibis Chesterfield Centre: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Poor Experience"

22nd February 2012, Luton, United Kingdom

A budget deal (£ 43 ish) shouldn't result in a shoddy experience. No tv remote, bed poorly made, with sheet not fitting the bed. The bed was old and tired (no pun intended). We had to ask for more towels, the ones left out were small and not enough for 2. The toilet did not flush properly or not at all. We had no hot water on the check out morning. Upon check out these comments were met with misplaced humour and at the time of writing this. there has been no resolution apart from a 'holding' e mail from guest relations. This whole experience is in stark contrast to my previous stays in Ibis hotels in contionental Europe.

ibis Chesterfield Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Night Out In Chesterfield"

1st February 2012, Derby

Group of 32 of us with a booking of 16 rooms in total. The friendly staff, although a little slow on check-in, were very helpful as soon as we walked through the main doors. The rooms were of a very nice standard and the hotel was clean and tidy with the large lounge area being the ideal place to meet up and have a drink from the bar before starting our wild night out. The hotel is situated literally 3 minutes walk from the town centre but in a quiet location right on the outskirts. Security on our return to the hotel was excellent as they were having trouble with a certain gentleman and were making sure everyone who tried to get in was booked into the hotel and also that they were safely inside. Overall, this hotel was excellent value for money and although only a 2 star hotel, i have stayed in 4 star hotels that are not as nice. Highly recommended as just a stones throw away from the nightlife and the town centre with easy access to the motorway.

ibis Chesterfield Centre: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Crap staff very Crap food"

12th January 2012, Nottingham, United Kingdom

Well i was served by a young lad the only word i dont think of is he was not all there. as we sat down for a meal in the bar with my over priced beer i could deal with that however the food was not to a good standed. Well the chicken for the curry was rock hard and the bread was rock hard i could have banged nails with it. It was obviously microwave food that took over 45mins why i dont no, Now for the room well nice view of the foor and used comdoms room was clean so the cleaners well done thank you bed not bad telly why do you have french telly in a british hotel i no you are a french company but come on. And now the best bit on check out i had to deal with mr useless agine with a empty headed look on his face and when he had finished with my check out i had to stand there wailing before i said "is that it" and the replay "yea" not even making eye contact and with no thanks you's of any kind.service poor cleaners well done only decent staff by the look of things.

ibis Chesterfield Centre: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Cheap an chearful"

4th September 2011, bladesmen, Newcastle

As the saying goes " you get what you pay for".. we booked the IBIS through their own wesite and got a bargin. The hotel is very central and is clean, well maintained and the staff are very helpful and friendly. However if your after a good nights sleep then the IBIS is not for you.. the beds are very uncomfortable and rooms and decor are of cheap appearance.

ibis Chesterfield Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "My stay"

20th July 2011, Rotherham

Very central to all ammenities including the M1, local bars and shopping, really friendly and helpful staff, clean and well presented rooms, stayed her a couple of times and would stay again. I would recomend this to anyone.

ibis Chesterfield Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Make Sure You Get A Quiet Room!!"

19th July 2011, Romford

Don't get a room on the side of the hotel facing the dual carriageway - very noisy.Other than that, a good, standard Ibis Hotel. One other point - please provide decent suasages for breakfast - mine had only the merest suspicion of meat.

ibis Chesterfield Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Chesterfield"

9th May 2011, Taunton

The hotel is easy for the train station and the town centre. The menu is appropriate for the style of accommodation, with good quality service and also plenty on the plate. The reception staff are professional and deal with check-in quickly.

ibis Chesterfield Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good value budget hotel"

29th April 2011, richs123, Wales

All as it should be for an Ibis... very friendly and helpful staff, hotel in average condition but what can you expect for £28 a night!! Easy to find, and great that they let me stay with a pet. My sister lives in the area and I will use the hotel again.

ibis Chesterfield Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Chesterfield Ibis hotel"

9th February 2011, Colchester

Always helpful staff, clean and tidy rooms, surprisingly quiet for a city center hotel.

ibis Chesterfield Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Chesterfield FC"

8th February 2011, bittern1032, North yorkshire

The rooms could do with a face lift but other wise everything was ok. Ideal for the football or shopping
