ibis Bradford Shipley: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Clean and Easy !"

25th April 2012, adoodle, Somewhere in the north!

Have stayed at the Ibis chain before and had not enjoyed it, so was very wary. However, what a lovely surprise, Ibis Shipley: Friendly helpful staff, nice clean modern room and good location for rail station. Good parking facilities. Would stay again.

ibis Bradford Shipley: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Hotel Ibis Shipley"

18th April 2012, b0bby123, Edinburgh, United Kingdom

We stayed here to attend a family wedding at Saltaire, we had a room overllooking the canal, we thought the rooms could do with an upgrade, bedding etc, overall the staff were excellent given that they were kept very busy by doing reception, and preparing and serving food

ibis Bradford Shipley: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Shipley"

29th March 2012, Grange-over-Sands, United Kingdom

Within easy walking distance of lots of the train station, pubs and several good restaurants. The rooms are what you'd expect for an Ibis. Bathrooms are shower only - no baths.Breakfast is okay but no where near as good as a prem inn breakfast, and only 50p cheaper per person when you pay normal price.

ibis Bradford Shipley: 3.0 out of 5 stars "General opinion"

26th March 2012, Ilford, United Kingdom

Two points that let this hotel down:1. They do not have a comfortable chair in the room, just a desk type chair.2. They do not supply a floor mat in the bathroom.

View management response »

Management responseDear GuestMany Thanks for your recent review of ibis Bradford, we take on board your comments regarding the desk chair not being comfortable and we will look into this on our next refurbishment. Just a note regarding bath mats, we do have plenty available from reception so please feel free to ask on your next visit.Kind RegardsJohn HolroydGeneral Manager

ibis Bradford Shipley: 3.0 out of 5 stars "It's Ibis so you know what to expect."

23rd February 2012, Morpeth

An Ibis hotel next to the canal close to historic Saltaire. Convenient, clean and quiet enough. The new price for breakfast represents good value.Staff are friendly and helpful. The pub next door is a bit hit and miss for food but Shipley has plenty of other options.

ibis Bradford Shipley: 4.0 out of 5 stars "happy stay"

7th February 2012, Southend-on-Sea, United Kingdom

We stayed for 3 nights we found all the staff very helpful and pleasent nothing was to much troubel. The bed rooms & leisure areas are very clean, but the only nagative part the extacter in bathroom did not work very well. Breakfast worth the £3.50 we paid, but a bit over the top at £7.95 if you only eat a small amont had late night snack good and worth the money would recommend

ibis Bradford Shipley: 4.0 out of 5 stars "clean and friendly"

8th October 2011, Alicante, Spain

We stayed at the ibis in Shipley for one night.Check in was smooth, efficient and friendly. The room was clean, overlooked the canal and was only a short walk into the town centre. We had an internet package included in the room rate which we found great value for the money paid. The staff went that extra mile as we had'nt printed our boarding pass, they offered to do this for us,so a huge thank you to them.If we were in this area again,we'd definatly stay here.

ibis Bradford Shipley: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Great service"

7th October 2011, Tazwayne, Derby

I was attending a 40th Birthday bash a the old mills opposite the hotel. So the location for the party was ideal. Service was excellent from the minute we checked in to leaving. After the party many of us (probably 25) returned to the hotel bar, ordered drinks and food and we were looked after and food order for midnight snacks all came through with a smile. The only negative of the hotel is the rooms (more the carpets) are really tired. It was also the weekend of the Indian summer so boiling hot and with no air con sleeping was hard. No fault of the hotel, it doesn't advertise air con in the rooms.

Hotel is nice and clean. Had a good night's rest. Everything worked wonderfully - internet, TV, heater, bath, etc. Good value for money. Will definitely stay at same hotel again and have no qualms recommending others to stay at Ibis Bradford Shipley.

ibis Bradford Shipley: 4.0 out of 5 stars "It was a pleasure again"

9th August 2011, Bury

Minor things, kettle dirty, bits on floor, needs a seperate table and chair in the rooms. Breakfast excellent, staff very good. Would I go again, yes but would obviously prefer to pay a discounted rate for both night. If I'd booked for 2 nights the cost was £99, by booking Fri at £24 then separately booking Sat £51 - £75, what would you do?

ibis Bradford Shipley: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Canal views!"

13th June 2011, Hereford

A smart, relaxing hotel, with clean and comfortable rooms. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, and always pleasant. The hotel has an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere, and the rooms are well equipped with internet access, and tv.Our room was situated with a canal view, which we appreciated, as the hotel is set in the centre of this busy town. Lots of parking on the premises, but also within walking distance of the buses and railway station.A lovely hotel which we have no problem in recommending for a very pleasant stay.

ibis Bradford Shipley: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Lovely economy hotel"

26th May 2011, oldguest, England

I stayed at the hotel with my parents to attend a family funeral. We had already stayed there once before. The hotel is situated right by the canal with the towpath outside the bedroom windows (on one side of the hotel). The rooms are clean with very comfortable beds. The only minor criticsms are that there is no security lock on the windows so you need to make sure the windows are closed when you go out and there is only one chair. The staff are excellent and were the same staff as when we stayed at the hotel a year ago.It is extremely convenient being within walking distance of trains to Leeds and Bradford as well as a pleasant walk to Saltaire and the David Hockney gallery/ complex. Robert's Park has also been restored and has an excellent playground. An excellent location for a short stay of a few days.
