initially i had my doubts because of the affordable price that the room would be lacking in quality but it was perfect like any other room. the check in and check out process took less than five minutes altogether, and it was conveniently located. staff was nice and explained everything properly and let me know i could contact them if i needed anything. would stay again if i was in the area.

stayed here whilst attending the manchester punk festival, friendly staff, hotel is pretty basic, the shower-room in the hotel bedroom was some sort of prefabricated all in one affair and didn't look great, but the shower was surprisingly great. housekeeping knocked on the door when i had the do not disturb sign on the door. didn't eat at the hotel so cannot comment on that.

Solstafira Solo - Confirmed reviews ALL

I completed online check in and when I arrived they didn't have my booking. I had to wait ages while they found me a room. During this time, a man came from the elevator, using the F-word, liberally, complaining about how he had to do some plumbing because there was something wrong with the pipes. At first I had thought he was a drunk guest but it transpired that he worked there. I've never been at a hotel where the staff use the F-word repeatedly in front of guests. The only room with a pull out sofa, was adapted for people with disabilities and the cleanliness was not good. There was a lot of noise from the roof, which was accessible by guests via the fire escape. I insisted on a room change and was given a much nicer room, without a sofa, which is more like the pictures of the room I booked, in terms of quality. I found the receptionist rude and dismissive and her English wasn't great. I've always had a great experience with Ibis, previously, but I won't be using them again.
