The room had no ventilation. I had to keep the door and window open to clear the stale air out of the room on return every day. Staff even came to the door to ask if everything was ok. The shower door does not close. Water all over the bathroom floor, which is slippery ! The bathroom sink is small and oddly shaped so splashes go on the floor. The bathroom door and furniture are marked with age.

This is a standard hotel with a lot of standard rooms equipped and cleaned to an acceptable standard. The two things which stand out are the excellent location - great for Manchester city centre, train stations, China Town and the Gay Village - and the friendly staff at reception. Well, there isn't really a reception desk, there's a member of staff in an Ibis t-shirt with a mobile phone, but they seem to be able to do everything with it! My only criticism is the extortionate cost of staying here on a Saturday night.
