« A huge disappointment »

Check-in took a while as the person 2 ahead was very upset about the parking situation. The started to be a problem for us as the receptionist was adamant that if his car remained outside for more than 15 minutes then he would be charged. And as the argument continued our car was, of course, also outside. Thankfully the next person in line wasn't checking in so we got to our room in 12 minutes, which was large but musty and had the sliding door to the bathroom hanging off at one end. How house keeping could miss this and not report it is beyond me, but as their was no maintenance on site (we were told) they said all they could do was move our room. So we were moved to another room (without any assistance, even though I had to go and move the car as they had no more parking available) which was very small in comparison. Special treatment for Accor members? I don't think so. We booked this about a year in advance, so it was disappointing. At least this room wasn't musty. The room keycards then kept malfunctioning, and it wasn't until the third occasion that the person at reception said that both keycards had to reprogrammed at the same time. On one occasion we were kept waiting because someone from the bar was covering reception and didn't know how to program the keycards. One evening my wife had a bowl of soup she bought at the bar. The next day, after our room had been cleaned the half-eaten bowl of soup etc was still there! That expalins how they didn't notice the broken door in the first room - it seems like they clean with their eyes closed! To be fair, the rest of the room was OK as far as cleanliness went, but we can't understand how those things were missed. Poor. There is no air-conditioning, the air system functions based the OUTSIDE temperature, not that INSIDE the room. If its below 21 outside all you can get is heat. That's a good idea for saving energy but losing customers. We asked for a fan and were given a small fan heater that was pretty ineffectual as a fan. So we bought a fan in order to be comfortable. This was probably our worst hotel stay - it was just a constant list of frustrations. On their own they would have been tolerable, but lumped together they made for a most unpleasant stay. We certainly won't be back and don't see how it's managed so high a rating.

« Good stay, close to Wembley Railway station »

Close to Wembley Railway station and also to Wembley Central Underground (10mints walking by). Very good staff! The room has a good size and the bed and pillows are very confortable. The only think that was missing was a better cleaning of the room. A bit dirty in the bathroom and on the floor ( they didnt clean everyday the room and we stay for 3 nights). But for the budget its a good choice!

« Enjoyed trip but not IBIS »

I was immediately racially profiled when i entered the hotel,as a parent had booked the room for me on her card but made the booking in my name i said i could show proof and bring the card if they needed staff refused and forced me to go out of my way to pay buy cash and also took photo id and my card details when doing so, there is more to this story and i am going to make a formal complaint.and make this story known to as many review websites. The reason i l know this was a stearotyping issue is because at an earlier time a white female around the same age had booked the hotel the same way as i did and was allowed to stay hassle free,this woman is a friend of mine who is willing to support me in this issue. No complimentary stay was offeres afterd i raised this issue on there website

this hotel has gone down since our last visit cleanliness was not good the breakfast was terrible new food being put on top of old food running out of plates only one toaster for all the guests,having to pay for parking and have to park on the side of the road overall a not very nice time
