ibis Liverpool: 1.0 out of 5 stars "Don't stay on the ground floor... on a Saturday night"

10th May 2012, lucieboo_12, Bristol, United Kingdom

Given the service offered (cheap accommodation in the city centre) we ought to have expected being woken at 3am by a crowd of drunk Irish men hammering on our door. It was a rude awakening. The chances are, I'll stay in an Ibis again - as a last resort.

ibis Liverpool: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis hotel Liverpool"

1st May 2012, LucyW67, Reading, United Kingdom

The location was perfect for our conference. Many local attractions, shops and restaurants were within a 10 minute walk. All the staff were very helpful and the room was basic but perfectly adequate. The beds are very firm, which I prefer but many do not.

ibis Liverpool: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Better than expected!"

28th April 2012, ThunderBug, East Anglia

Stayed here for two nights to see a concert at the Echo Arena which is directly opposite thus the location was superb for the venue and for the docks. In fact the hotel is prime location to the city centre too!Plenty of parking space on the premises complete with barriers and extremely value for money. As a budget hotel I was not expecting much especially as I had stayed at the Travelodge in Manchester the night before which although cost more than the Ibis was severely below par in comparison! The double room was clean and cosy and the bathroom was nicely tucked away in the corner and the shower was extremely spacious! Although we were located facing the main road there was no traffic noise at all.The breakfast although I thought was pricey at £7.50 was really worth it as there was a vast amount of choice of hot and cold foods and drinks to choose from and had us well-fed for our 3 hour journey back home. The staff are approachable and friendly or maybe that is scousers in general? This was my first visit to Liverpool and it is an amazing city for which I am already planning a return visit in August and would definitely stay at the Ibis again!

ibis Liverpool: 4.0 out of 5 stars "GOOD VALUE, SUPERB LOCATION"

19th April 2012, JeanWolverhampton, Wolverhampton

Very comfortable room with everything we needed. Nice bathroom. Breakfast was included on special deal, and had excellent choice with both continental and/or English. Restaurant also available for lunches/dinner. Staff very helpful and efficient.Superb location opposite entrance to the new renovated docks. The 'Liverpool Eye' was across the road, and the Beatles Experience couple of minutes away. The Echo Arena only couple of minutes walk. Dockland area beautifully restored, and also very close to the Maritime Museum, and the brand new Liverpool Museum. The Liver Buildings were approx, 10 minutes walk through the Docklands, and also the 'Ferry Across the Mersey departed from the pier opposite. Open top bus tours also departed from Canada Boulevard in front of Liver Buildings.Very close to several other very interesting museums and Art Galleries. Bus Station one minute from the hotel with buses to the centre, for the cathedrals and super shopping area. Liverpool has some beautiful old buildings, all beautifully restored, and it has the largest number of listed buildings in the country outside of London. Lots of things to see and do, and would certainly recommend anyone to visit - they would certainly be impressed with Liverpool.

ibis Liverpool: 2.0 out of 5 stars "RIP OFF!"

18th April 2012, bluearmycarl, Leicester, United Kingdom

We booked a full YEAR in advance for this years grand national meeting, paid £340 for a 3 night stay. the rooms are basic, the hotel smelled like an old peoples home & the general cleanliness was very questionable. it did not help with groups of lads also staying there who found it amusing to come in drunk and knock on doors and run down corridors, equally fast food was regularly seen strewn down corridors. even on our last night we awoke to find a dead chicken in the corridor! considering cctv is throughout, the staff seem totally oblivious to anything going on. a complete disgrace to call it a hotel, its a doss house. avoid it at all costs

ibis Liverpool: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Good Value for Money"

13th April 2012, Mac38, London

The Ibis chain of hotels do what they say - cheap and cheerful and value for money. This hotel is right next door to Albert Dock, Liverpool One shopping area and the tourist spots, such as Mathews Street for The Cavern Club.Staff were friendly and very helpful, the room was standard Ibis - comfy bed, hot shower, clean and tidy.My only disappointment was from other guests who seem to think it is ok to talk and shout in the corridors when returning in the early hours of the morning. Maybe a few signs in the lifts and in the rooms might help people to be aware of others. But this wouldn't stop me using this hotel again.

ibis Liverpool: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Usual High StandaRD"

3rd April 2012, Preston, United Kingdom

The Ibis is Liverpool is well managed and friendly. I have stayed there at least 15 times over the last 6 years and have always received the same level of service. Its rates are very reasonable and as a result it is always busy. Book early.

ibis Liverpool: 1.0 out of 5 stars "Worst place ever"

13th March 2012, Birmingham, United Kingdom

During a two night stay, youths were tearing up and down the corridors throughout the night, shouting to their friends and hammering on each others (and our) doors. This literally continued until past 6am, resulting in two utterly sleepless nights. We requested a room change, but the hotel was full and so we had to endure the second night of torment. We will never stay in an Ibis again.

The hotel and location were perfect for our intentions(visiting the Echo Arena and some general sightseeing) but was slightly dis-appointed that the rooms were cheaper at the hotel than we had paid.Hotel and staff were very good.

ibis Liverpool: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Great Stay"

27th February 2012, Sheerness, United Kingdom

I stay at this hotel every 2 weeks and enjoy all elements, including location, cleanliness and the way you are made welcome. I have always slept without any problems or disturbance from other guests. My only issue is the ironing room which could do with a second iron

ibis Liverpool: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Noisy"

15th February 2012, TheJudgeManchester, manchester

Stayed here one saturday night, the hotel is over priced for what it is and they now charge £3 parking which just shouts greed to me.Location is OK but they need to patrol the corridors as the guests are left to shout and run about all night. Liverpool now has some of the mosts expensive hotels in the UK due to its new found popularity but standards havent risen at this hotel to match.

ibis Liverpool: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis - Liverpool"

6th February 2012, Oldbury, United Kingdom

Hotel is ideally situated for those visiting Albert Dock and Liverpool city centre. Hotel generally clean and tidy although some decoration a little tired, sofa in reception had a damaged arm which was loose and likley to fall off at some time soon. There was a problem with the TV service although this was compensated for by complimentary broadband service.

ibis Liverpool: 4.0 out of 5 stars "disturbed sleep but dealt with very satisfactorily"

30th January 2012, Lansdownwind, Bath, United Kingdom

The hotel is in an excellent location for visiting Liverpool and it's attractions. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast as one would expect. There was an incident during the night which involved a group of lads I assume on a stag night for which the police had to be called. This did disturb our sleep somewhat and as we were only staying for one night rather spoilt our impression of the hotel even though they did what they could to contain the incident. However what impressed me was the response I had from the hotel manager after I had filled in the hotel's questionnaire. He contacted me via email and offered to refund the cost of my stay and invited me back at a reduced rate to 'see how his hotel really was'.I believe it's not what goes wrong, it's how it's put right that matters and the hotels response was excellent customer service and I have no problem in staying there again.

ibis Liverpool: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Liverpool City centre"

9th January 2012, Dundee, United Kingdom

Good clean hotel in excellent location. Friendly staff and on the first night I got a very good half price winter deal. The second night wasn't planned and was booked the following evening so I had to pay the normal rate. Overall thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone.

ibis Liverpool: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Perfect stay in Liverpool"

10th October 2011, Recife, Brazil

Best location in downtown Liverpool, a walking distance to Albert Dock, city center, Beatles Museum, Cavern District... Nice and helpful staff. The guy at the reception was really nice, gave useful information about the city and things to do. Strongly recommended, everything was perfect except for one thing, on our last day they forgot to set our wake up call and we almost missed our train to london...
