"5 nights at a conference in Glasgow"
21st September 2013, I_Sanderson, Romford, United Kingdom
I've stayed in many Ibis from UK to Bavaria! Because it was a conference time some overnight prices were at the top of the Ibis range. Location close to shops etc in Sauchiehall St. but be warned that some local streets are very steep. Taxi from and to Central Station worked well. Staff helpful, though sometimes overstretched. Breakfast good with a little adaption to Scots tradition. Because I had meetings into the evening, I took supper in the hotel a couple of evenings. Good value, but restricted choice and a little slow.View management response »

"Ideally located for city sightseeing"
15th September 2013, ScotsPorridge, Aberdeenshire
As with most Ibis Hotels we have stayed in,you can guarantee the quality and cleanliness of it. Good value for money and ideally located for travelling around the city. We added breakfast when we booked the room. The selection was limited but for the price was good value. Also worth noting that it was help yourself and so you could tuck into as much food as you wanted.View management response »

"Get what you pay for"
8th September 2013, AnnaMcMelllin, London, United Kingdom
The hotel is worth every penny, excellent staff service and attitude. The room was perfectly clean and the bathroom facilities were fantastic. The only issue that arose was due to a group of loud guests which was quickly sorted. Overall 9/10 fantastic and would definitely recommend.View management response »

"A week in Glasgow"
15th August 2013, Rayfromhorsham, Horsham, United Kingdom
We chose the Ibis because it is well placed for travel , entertainment , and restaurants , all of which are in easy walking distance . The hotel is clean and modern , the bar is open 24/7 , the staff are really courteous and extremely helpful , the breakfast is good value for money if you like a full english ( but sadly only scrambled egg ) We stayed for a week in early August , it was probably a bit expensive ( £505 for a single room for 7days B&B ) but the room is charged at a daily rate according to the time of year . However , the whole experience was very pleasant overall and we didnt find anything to complain about . There is now free wi fi throughout , which is a big plus , but you have to sign in every 24 hours . It`s called a budget hotel - well I don`t know about that , but I would reccomend it to anybody , only thing is do check the price because room rates can change dailyView management response »

This hotel is centrally situated. It is ideal for a short beak or a business trip. The car park is a short walk and with the hotel stamp very good value for a city centre. Every where in the centre is walkable and there are a plentiful supply of hostelries and restaurants within 5 minutes. The hotel was clean and the rooms comfortable, as you would expect from an IBIS and the staff welcoming and very friendly. Although we are from Edinburgh originally any trip to Scotland should include a visit to Glasgow and this hotel is the perfect resting place. Well done IBIS and very well done Glasgow. GREAT!!!!!!View management response »

Hotel is very central, easy to reach. Needs to work on presentation, lobby is part reception/part bar? check-in one end of the counter, beer pumps at the other end - not a good look. Hotel is budget business but this is no excuse for bad first impression. Needs imaginative solution.View management response »
Management responseDear SirThank you for your review of the hotel, we will certainly take your points on board for any future utilisation of our public area space.Kind regardsJanice FisherGeneral Manager
"city center ibis"
20th July 2013, alicanistanbul34, Istanbul, Turkey
hotel is in city center which is very good.there is tea coffe facilities with kettle in the room.but like every ibis hotel in UK there is no aircondition system.instead of it there is room air cool and heat system.it is weird .ı did not unterstand how it is working.anyhow.worst thing I did not like in the room is carpet. which is smelling very bad and very old dirty.also air clima unit leaking water in the room.off course onto the carpet never became dry and smelling like a rat dead.View management response »
Management responseDear SirThank you for your feedback and the opportunity to respond to your query. We have an air cooling system which changes depending on the outside temperature. If it is above 21 degrees outside then cool air is pushed through, if under 21 degrees then hot air is pushed through, the thermostat in the room has to be switched on for this to work.I am sorry you were disappointed in your stay but whenever you stay in an Ibis the staff are available 24 hours per day to offer assistance and if you ae unhappy they will move your room.I do hope you will choose to stay with Ibis again in the future.Kind regardsJanice FisherGeneral Manager
"Excellent city-break base."
19th July 2013, Gandalf285, Malvern, Worcs
We were more than satisfied with our stay here. The room provided the base that we needed to enable us to explore all that Glasgow had to offer in the realms of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. It was clean and well equipped and the reception staff were very helpful.View management response »

Stayed here for a conference. Very good value. Clean and largely efficient. The hotel struggled to cope with a coach party at breakfast the days I was there and cooked breakfast was fairly average when they eventually cooked enough to go round. I didn't sleep well and found the hi tech memory foam mattress very uncomfortable though pillows were excellent. Room otherwise very good. Left luggage was very useful for me. Understand free wifi was going in just after my visit - but was available in receptionn for my visitView management response »
