"60th birthday treat"
17th May 2012, barker930, Bradford, United Kingdom
We spent three nights at the Ibis Glasgow as a birthbay treat. We had no problems at all with the hotel after all we were only sleeping there and spending the days sight seeing. The breakfast was very goodCheers

"Good Budget Hotel"
4th May 2012, Iain2012, London, United Kingdom
Hotel provides simple, clean rooms with food available if required. Staff are friendly and helpful and location is ideal for Glasgow city centre. Two quibbles - it would have been good if staff had asked the large party of single men - probably contractors - sitting drinking in the bar/restaurant to make less use of the "f" word: pillows are too bouncy to provide proper support.

"SECC show"
19th April 2012, supergran57, Dumfries, United Kingdom
Have stayed in Glasgow Ibis several times in the past but now it is in need of freshening up. Tired paintwork, carpets and bedding. First time we had breakfast in the hotel and found if OK. Food replenishment was slow; had to ask for plates and waited for the freshly cooked eggs as the tureen was empty.

"poor standard"
5th April 2012
The room was very basic, bed was uncomfortable. There was only one satchet of coffee and one tea bag in the room. The breakfast offered little choice for its £7.50 price tag. The eggs were cold. There were only eggs, a small spoonful of beans and bacon left. The orange juice had run out and despite after asking staff twice, and being assured twice that it was just about to be replenished, after half an hout we gave up. Staff barely lifted there head to address you

"Convenient"
30th March 2012, PJenReading, Reading
I was accompanying my daughter on a visit to Glasgow University. The hotel was conveniently situated and met our needs perfectly. My only complaint is that the breakfasts really need to be re-thought. Perhaps drop the not very good cooked breakfasts and concentrate on doing simple breakfasts well. The only small complaint I have about the rooms (and this has been the same in every ibis hotel) is that the room lighting is very bright. So you either have the lights off or they are extremely harsh. If you wake up during the night for the loo, for example, who wants the brightest possible bathroom light to wake then up fully when you intend to go straight back to bed?

Management responseDear MadamThank you for your suggestions about breakfast and the lighting in the room, we are always glad of feedback as this will help us improve for the future.I do hope you will stay with us again.Kind regardsJanice FisherGeneral Manager

"Reasonable price"
8th March 2012, London, United Kingdom
Changed rooms two times. The first room had a very strong smell of cigarette. The second was dark with brick wall view. ;-( And the third one was ok. Please get advice from a receptionist when you do check in.

"Great Stay"
20th February 2012, Rawalpindi, Pakistan
Stay had been really good...bathroom and rooms were well maintained and clean, but the beds were too hard for comfort, by addressing this, rating can easily go upto excellent as far as I am concerned. Its proximity to city center and central rail station makes it a very good choice to stay. Overall enjoyed my stay and will stay there again if ever had to travel to Glasgow. Cheers

"Very Central Place to Stay!"
23rd January 2012, Edinburgh
Stayed here for one night on a business trip to Glasgow. Location is very central, however when in the hotel there was no traffic noise so you wouldn't have known you were in the City Centre. The room was fairly good for price. I had a fairly good stay here. Breakfast dissappointed me however, the food available was not at the level I expected (and no mushrooms! :( )Great place to stay if you need a very central hotel in Glasgow.

"festive break"
6th January 2012, Dumfries, United Kingdom
stayed here several times and have always found convenient, comfortable and a good standard. Disappointed on this occasion that when receptionist forgot to specifically say about breakfast service (not an issue, easy thing to forget) and we asked her later on our way out and she said served till 10am. As we had on previous visits been informed that breakfast was served till 12 noon, I asked if this was even on a Saturday and she confirmed it was. It was a shame that we had to get up earlier than we wanted so we could have breakfast but there were guests coming for breakfast later than 10 so we wonder if she gave us the wrong information and this had a negative impact on our enjoyment this time. Also, disappointed that there was no fruit salad on that day.
