"Easter break in Glasgow"
13th April 2012, inaminute_12, Ochiltree, United Kingdom
Lovely, quiet hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Only complaint was the toilet, which was separate from the bath & sink. Was so small you couldn't close the door for some privacy! Handy for the shops plus we walked to Kelvingrove museum & art gallery ( which was a great day out). Breakfast was included in our deal & was lovely, but wouldn't have paid £13.50 for it.
"Easter weekend in Glasgow"
6th April 2012, Aberdeen, United Kingdom
Pretty good value for money - walking distance to railway station and multiple museums and restaurants. Downside - lifts are very slow
"DB Trip"
29th March 2012, Rugby, United Kingdom
I have stayed at the hotel before and the room was good however the service left something to be disired as Ihad to ask reception for service at the bar - I only wanted a snack. 15 minutes later a lady turned up to take my order.I was also put in a disabled room this was ok except that the sink is very low for somebody 6' 2"
"Comfortable hotel"
19th February 2012, aldurris, Durris, Scotland
We chose the hotel for its proximity to Kings Theatre. Booking in advance, we got a good rate on an executive room, which was spacious and well equipped. The promised free films did not appear to exist on our in room TV, and the free wi-fi didn't appear to be free. Apart from that, we were very happy with our stay, and the staff were all efficient and friendly.
"Rooms with a view!"
17th January 2012, Perth, Australia
We had requested a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower when we made the booking over the internet. Upon our arrival, reception advised that they were aware of our room request but not certain that it could be met and to come down and therefore whether our room was suitable. It had a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower and this playful joke typified the friendly nature of the reception staff that we experienced and also the doorman and maintenance staff. The location is easily walkable to the Eiffel Tower (say 20 mintues) and also very nearby (a few minutes walk down a local street with minor traffic) to a large supermarket, some cafes and restaurants and also to Line 10 of the Paris Metro.Amenities: the pool and adjacent gymnasium area are very small and ventilation is poor, it is humid and smells of chlorine.Liked best: locationLiked least: sound-proofing between floors is not very good as adjacent guests talking and walking on wood flooring is clearly heard.
"Good quiet location"
23rd September 2011, StilettoLondon, London
Booking ahead the price was good, so worth doing that. If I was paying full price, not such good value, especially as something went wrong each time I stayed in the last two weeks (on business). Make sure to get the free newspaper if it's on your package, although one day mine mysteriously disappeared with no replacement offered :( Last week there were problems with the hot water which just spluttered and stopped (not funny when you're in the shower having soaped up). This was sorted out quickly, but shouldn't really be happening in the morning rush to a major hotel - get the maintenance sorted guys! I ate in the 'restaurant' as a last minute option, inconsistent service, about 5 different servers and left waiting to settle my bill for ages. Room service an altogether more acceptable option with cheery, speedy service.I'd recommend it on location, close to Sauchiehall Street, but quiet enough for a reasonable nights rest.

"Unimpressed"
5th August 2011, Oxford
Car parking not easily signed and difficult to access and park once you find it. Noise from outside from other buildings and the street below constanly, Bathroom fixtures and fittings getting a bit tatty, Evening meal expensive for the small size of portions offered.WiFi has to be paid for at £13.00 for 24 hours. I could go on...All in all not impressed.
"Great value for money"
19th July 2011, Brasspenny, Isle of Arran, Scotland
We usually stay next door at Ibis wich is also good but by comparison our stay at Novotel was a better deal as it included breakfast and was definitely a good 4 star hotel. You need to book in advance though to get the deals. Our friends stayed at Crowne Plaza which was much more expensive but the rooms were not as comfortable.

"Excellent Contemporary Hotel In Glasgow"
10th July 2011, Prestwick
The Glasgow Novotel is an excellent contemporary hotel with a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Service is excellent from an attentive staff with 24 hour room service and good quality comfortable rooms. Breakfast offers an excellent choice both in the restaurant or room. Lunch and dinner are well catered for with a wide choice and an appropriate selection of drinks. The location is central and within walking distance of the city centre along Sauchiehall Sreet one of Glasgow's main shopping streets.

"Nice modern hotel"
29th June 2011, <anchester
I only stayed overnight so was not able to take full advantage of any facilities but I was pleased with the appearance of the public areas and the room was modern, clean and spacious enough. The bed was comfy and the bathroom very trendy. Breakfast was fine but a bit on the expensive side.

"Novotel Glasgow"
9th June 2011, Adelaide
The hotel is in a great location, close to the city centre and the Central rail station as well as great food and bars. The hotel itself is clean and modern the staff are very helpful, and price list for room service reasonable when compared to others around Scotland though never ended up needing to use it as there are some fantastic places within a short stroll.

"Great location, OK hotel"
7th June 2011, derbyshireblue, UK
Ideally located for tourist sights; friendly and efficient staff; bright welcoming decor; comfortable bed.Didn't eat breakfast there - plenty of choice in various places nearby, for half the price.Let down by room comfort - stuffy, no aircon and opening the window just meant you'd be woken up by street noises (apparently, fans can be borrowed from reception.); bed awkwardly positioned close to a wall; poor lighting for reading in bed; and a meagre selection of TV and radio channels.
