"Hassle free"
18th February 2013, Folio101, Glasgow, United Kingdom
Hassle free stay. The staff were very friendly and efficient, as always. Rooms are simple, comfortable and well appointed. For a modern building, there is very little background noise from the city, services or other occupants. This was a real bonus and quite unusual. Room service was fast and really fresh. The 2 day business event was also in the hotel so i was less tired and slept very well. I will definitely be back, thanks.

This is the 2nd time my wife and I have stayed at this hotel on a wekend visit to Glasgow to see a musical. Have no complaints of this hotel and found it a most enjoyable stay and will willing recommend the hotel to anyone. Theroom was adequate and service was great nothing was too much trouble from all the staff.

"Needs upgrading."
4th February 2013, Phill H, Kingston-upon-Hull, United Kingdom
I have stayed here before and this time was not as good as the last. The rooms need updating (the all in one white unit has to go). My sheets were not changed and my tea bags were not replenished. Breakfast was OK with a big selection but the qualoty of the food is poor, the scambled eggs were like rubber, poached eggs were not available. Good things about this hotel is the secure underground car park which is a big must for me and the computers available for use in the reception area. Good location for the city centre as well, walking distance to all shopping and nightlife areas.
"Comfort near the city centre"
26th January 2013, BitNeek, Essen, Germany
GOOD: This hotel is very comfortable. It is in a very good location. Two squares of the Sauchiehall St. with several bars and restaurants. The street is also the way to the stores in city centre - a mile long. BAD: The hotel need better space in lobby. Internet access is limited to a hotspot provider and very expensive.

"great stay"
16th January 2013, 90Alexis, Glasgow, United Kingdom
I was babysitting and took my grand-daughters for the weekend and was very impressed with the room. The sofa bed was perfect for the girls with plenty of space. They enjoyed the free gifts they got on arrival. Breakfast selection was great with something to accommodate all tastes. Service was top notch. We were very close to the shops, a wide range of restaurants and local museums. I will definitely do babysitting at this hotel again.

"Great Glasgow city centre hotel"
4th January 2013, nnoriel001, London, United Kingdom
Impeccable stay and definitely one of the best hotels in Glasgow for the price and location. Breakfast buffet and fitness suit were great as well.Only gripes were no pool unlike a lot of other Novotels plus some mould in the bathroom which can easily be sprayed away with bleach. Unfortunately being in the city centre means some noise when windows are open as well.Otherwise happy and would stay again.

"An ideal hotel for a working trip"
20th December 2012, Tony S, Blackpool
The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The food generally is good and the breakfast excellent. The location was perfect for my business trip but it is quite a way from teh main shopping areas. Parking at the hotel is poor but there is a multi storey car park near by with discounted rates for guests.

"The lift was clanging..."
17th December 2012, asya11, Marmaris, Turkey
the hotel was tired and rooms were not so comfortable although I selected superior room. The elevator was so old that the door of elevator was clanging. The staff at reception was helpfull. Internet should be free of charge.
"Not as good as standards in Australia"
15th October 2012
The location is great - close to many attractions. The hotel was only average and there were a few small problems - no blankets, only duvets which are too hot. There was a computer with internet in the foyer for use of guests. There was a printer attached but this did not work and although we mentioned it to the staff, nothing was done about it, so printing out boarding passes was not possible. The manager kindly gave us a free breakfast when we told him about this on our exit. This was a nice gesture and we appreciated it, although we had not told him for this purpose. We were not impressed by the breakfast area which was very cramped and the toaster was in a potentially dangerour position because of the layout. The food was only average. Overall, we fould the standard of Novotels in UK o be of a lower standard that in Australia and Asia.

Management responseThank you for taking some time to share your experiance of Novotel Glasgow Centre with others.I am please that you had an enjoyable stay but have noted your comments regarding breakfast for which we will work as a team to improve this experiance.Often there are diffrerences within Countries on specefic standards within Novotel ( in this instance blankets) but generally as a brand we do aim to have a smililar experiance at every hotel, regardless of location.I thank you for your feedback and do hope that we get the opportunity to welcome you back to Glasgow at some point.Kindest Regards,Craig MunroGeneral Manager

"Easter break in Glasgow"
13th April 2012, inaminute_12, Ochiltree, United Kingdom
Lovely, quiet hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Only complaint was the toilet, which was separate from the bath & sink. Was so small you couldn't close the door for some privacy! Handy for the shops plus we walked to Kelvingrove museum & art gallery ( which was a great day out). Breakfast was included in our deal & was lovely, but wouldn't have paid £13.50 for it.
"Easter weekend in Glasgow"
6th April 2012, Aberdeen, United Kingdom
Pretty good value for money - walking distance to railway station and multiple museums and restaurants. Downside - lifts are very slow
"DB Trip"
29th March 2012, Rugby, United Kingdom
I have stayed at the hotel before and the room was good however the service left something to be disired as Ihad to ask reception for service at the bar - I only wanted a snack. 15 minutes later a lady turned up to take my order.I was also put in a disabled room this was ok except that the sink is very low for somebody 6' 2"
