decent hotel, location in/close to red-light district and Middle East section of town, close to towncenter, rather small rooms. Too expensive due to strong Swiss Franc.

We have 2 teenage daughters and found the family room with 2 double beds to be ideal. The breakfast was outstanding.

I stayed for 1 night, and had a very welcoming and pleasant experience. To start with, I had arrived eaerlier than expected. The staff at the reception were very warm and friendly, and right away accommodated me to check me into my room. The process was quick and within a few minutes I was in... and had my client meetings starting shortly after. The stay was very comfortable. The hotel room was clean and has been well-maintained.I checked out early next morning, and again was greeted with very kind staff at the front desk.The only thing I though was that the rates seem to be jumping like crazy with every visit. I can tell because I stay there a couple of times in the year, and the rate increase is not proportionate to what the other Novotel hotels have been charging.

The hotel was nice and the service from all the staff was really good! However, the free wi-fi kept timing out even though we logged off of the free session and the worst thing of all was the location! It is smack bang in the middle of the red light district and what we were convinced was full of drug dealers!! Why else would gangs of young men be hanging around outside in the rain? The hotel must know this as they have, kept locked the side door! It felt very unsafe walking back to the hotel especially at night.A shame because the hotel is ok.

Good hotel in centre of Geneva, close for railway station Cornavin, close to historical centre, and good value for money. I was lucky to get a room with balcony in quiet inner garden of hotel. That was real great!

Third stay at the Novotel Geneve Centre. Clean, calm and spacious room with two double-beds. Walking distance from the shopping area. Hotel offered us transport tickets which we used to cross the lake on a small boat.

Unfortunately again a Novotel hotel room where the toilet is in a separate room from the bath room, but hasn't got a sink of its own. That way you have to touch two door handles before being able to wash your hands. Basic hygene, guys!!!The bartender failed to shake up bog-standard cocktails.Otherwise fine hotel conveniently located and friendly staff. Free WIFI with good speed and easy to log on to.

Very good experience, we spent two nights in the hotel and were very pleased with the quality and hospitality.The room was quiet big, Nespresso in the room was free of charge.Good buffet breakfast.The location is good, but it took 15 min walk to the shopping streets.Unfortunately the restaurant is closed on weekends.

Great hotel, in the centre of Geneva, good service, good breakfast, nice size rooms, free wi-fi, free game center for our kids. Enjoyed staying there. One thing we were not so happy about is the neighbourhood: suspicious people at every corner around the hotel, bars and nigh clubs ajacent... had to be careful walking at night back to the hotel....

I'm pretty sure this could be a good hotel. The highlights: It has really friendly multilingual staff at the reception. It has quite a few rooms. It has some nice looking public places. Kids under 12 don't pay for either breakfast or accommodation (and the rooms are large enough). The price is quite decent for Geneva and the hotel is both close to the lake and train station (about 500m).But then... this is just off Rue de Berne which is not necessarily unsafe, but is full of hustlers (you may have some explaining to do if you come with curious children). The food in the cafe (incl. breakfast) is ok, but not spectacular. Breakfast has quite a few choices but because of the cramped serving area and the neon lights over the food, it looks cheap. The breakfast cucumber slices I had one morning were frozen. Overall, it's good value for money and you can have a nice stay here. If you're planning the perfect romantic holiday though or want the hotel to be one of the best 4 star experiences you had, budget about 50% more in price and book something else.

...do not venture alone, at night, for a stroll around the bloc! It reminds me of the old NY Times Square days, with menacing bands of hoodlums lingering about. A taxi driver even told me that he will not do any more pick ups in the area at certain times. Asking the hotel reception about safety around the place, the person said they stopped calling the police, because they say they cannot do anything...Welcome to safe Switzerland!

Hotel itself is very nice, very good service overall. Breakfast a bit expensive for the value of it, but this is Geneva. The one dissapointing aspect was the noise coming from the street outside, contributed by unsavory characters roaming the hotel. The hotel location bordering the Red Light District certainly does not help. I had a second floor room and it was somewhat uncomfortable from the noise coming from the sidewalk activity outside.

Clean and tidy, rooms were quiet even though the hotel is in the centre of town. Two broken elements that were not fixed even though reported to staff. Did not eat in the restuarants as prices were high.

i came with my wife and a 7 month baby. usually when we travel with our babies we find a very good service from the hotel we are in when it comes to sterilize baby bottles and washing it .However in this hotel it was really bad. for my 3 nights i called daily room service and a lady called ''BETZELOT'' always answered the phone and was not polit at all. when i asked her if she can pick the baby bottles and wash and sterilize them, she used to tell me ''come down your self we are busy'' which i think is really bad because all the hotels i go to they send someone to pick them up and bring them back. and when i asked her to wash them with soap and water she answers in a very bad way '' its not my job'' ok i understand if its not her job she can answer in a very polit way. i think she does not understand that she is working in a hotel. am an Accor member and never faced this kind of problem. very bad service! disappointing

Room was nice and I paid extra for balcony. The bed was very comfortable though the pillows are a bit thin. It was very clean and comfortable and was well serviced by the maid.However, what lets it down is the location. I did not feel safe at night and apparently there had been a stabbing nearby the night before.Breakfast was also lousy, and if you stay I would recommend the Hotel Warwick or any of the numerous cafes nearby for a better quality meal.
