For a budget hotel, this was on the expensive side. At the nightly rate, I would have expected the a better breakfast. Lack of varieties for hot breakfast, main protein of cold boiled eggs, it was horrible. Would have been good to have a mini fridge in the room to allow guests keep bring their own water to chill. Water had to be paid for at the bar, and whilst there's no fridge in the room, it meant that any ice you request from the bar melts within minutes in your room. I've stayed at better budget hotels for less the price.

At Ibis we strive to offer the best possible value for money while staying within the competitive market. We regret that the variety of our breakfast buffet was not to your liking. It is true that we do not have a minibar in our rooms but we do offer fridges from reception which can be rented during your stay and are always available to keep your drinks cold. We also have a bar/cafeteria where you can find hot and cold drinks and snacks available 24 hours a day. The air conditioning in our hotel works on a centralised system which means that it only heats in the winter and cools in the summer, we are sorry that it did not work to your liking during your stay. We would be delighted if you could make the most of our services on your next visit, please do not hesitate to ask us for anything you may need, our reception is open 24 hours a day. I have been coming to this hotel for many years for both business and pleasure, and have come to love the place. It is clean, pleasant and the staff are all super friendly. I have seen 2 refurbishments over the years - it now has a great music theme - but secretly I still prefer the original traditional Spanish flamenco theme it had when I first came here. The rooms are typical Ibis of course but airy, roomy, clean and with a splendid shower. The restaurant is great and has an enclosed and shady outdoor terrace area too. Breakfast is also typical Ibis but with outstandingly delicious coffee. It sits in a largely industrial area but the Splau shopping and cinema complex is just a 5 minute walk away and has a good selection of restaurants etc. The airport is around 10 minutes by car.

When we come to Barcelona we always go to this hotel, it is amazing, we'll located, easy access. Love the parking space. A shame that the chargers are not working, but there are nearby solutions within walking distance.

Water in the bathroom (shower and sink) was cold. Having to get up at 3 AM to catch an early flight and not being able to take a hot shower wasn’t a great start to our long travel day. I will say the bed was comfortable, but no hot water, very thin towels…I guess you get what you pay for.
