"Good stay"

Walking distance to Chocolate Museum and many other attractions. The breakfast is good and there is even a sauna and fitness center with a great view of the harbour and the Dom in the distance.

Novotel City Cologne is located near to railway station in walking distance to old part of city.Rooms are clean and spacefull for one or two person. Service on average level with supportive employees. Big limitation are problems with paid Internet in room (both cable and WiFi) which is very unpleasent expirience in business hotel.

Booked this hotel because it looked like it was close to the start/finish of the RuK. I was there with my younger son to participate in the Jedermann Challenge. This hotel was on the main strip of the stary/finish line so location was perfect. The hotel was very clean and the rooms also. No complaints. The staff kept the gym and sauna area open to race participants after checkout which was nice due to the rainy-cold conditions. Breakfast was the typical European fare which was nice. No complaints.

Not so good:Very spacious rooms with an extra bed (sofa) for our child, which extended in the middle of the way to the bathroom leaving 40 cm to go through. No electricity socket by the bed on both side. No free WiFi in the whole hotel (no WiFi in other public places in Germany at all). We had to have our parking ticket validated by receptionist every morning while other guests queuing to check out and pay.Very good:Possibility for extra bed for child for free. Breakfasts for child was also for free.Lavish breakfast, calm and quiet, nice restaurant for dinner, good meals and hefe weizen biervery good the hotel's own internet console in the lobby, enough parking places, professional gym (Technogym treadmills, hadn't enough time to try)
"Novotel Koeln City"

We took our children to the Owl City concert so needed a family room for the night and ended up being referred to the Novotel. We got back from the show, not having had dinner, just 15 minutes before closing time and they were happy for us to give them a quick order of salad and a drink so will most definitely recommend this hotel again. We found the service to be friendly and the rooms clean... exactly what we needed for our overnight stay.
"A little bit out of town"

Room was for three adults. Could of been a little larger. Maybe a small table and chairs at window. Only left towels and cups for 2, but brought up additional one after a call. Reception always busy, but very helpful. The walk out of town, after a day walking around was just a block or two too far!

Great sized rooms and comfortable accomodation for people travelling with children. It is also very conveniently located in proximity to the old towm and the river. We will definitely be using it again.

We've stayed here a number of times and will certainly do so again. The hotel is really comfortable, clean and offers good value for money. The staff are pleasant, friendly and efficient. A good place to stay in Cologne.

I like Novotels due to an extra sofa bed for my boy. It's a good hotel with resonable price, especially when a discounted period. The distance to Koln HBF/Dom is not in a walking distance. But Bus 132 and133 are convenient between.
