All in all excellent value for money but : - Room really hot and unless you open the window no way to get it cooler - One lift for the entire hotel - Internet super instable making working almost impossible

The Mercure Checkpoint Charlie needs an overhaul

I conducted the usual online check-in via the app, however, the front desk staff was not prepared at all. Parking is very bad because the parking entry and exit is extremely narrow. The suite I booked was massively smelly, it took 48h with all windows open to get the cat toilet smell out. the bed room is to the street and the other room is to the quiet site. The bathroom is small. The furniture's are in the years. Same as the bed. Due to ITB I was forced to stay. Without exhibition I would have moved out immediately. The guy at the bar was celebrating himself for all delicious top food he prepared like Curry Wurst from the Microwave and Deep Frozen Pizza. And it was the first time I got in Germany 0.3 Ltr. Glasses for Hefeweizen and he sold it as German standard and big size. At the Breakfast I was told that I was already there - even I was not - and the checkout experience was not great neither. But you should know all of this already because whenever I called the front desk or went there in person to explain those points the standard answer was "we will pass this trough". In summery I will not consider to book this hotel again.

Great stay in suite. Worth extra for the space very comfortable bed. Area has many cafes and restaurants nearby The Wall museum is a must to visit to respect the history of Germany during the war

very disappointed with the hotel, we have stayed 3 times, recommended it to friends, the result is sad. During registration, the full amount was charged twice, although I paid with points when booking, because I am a client of the Accor gold system. then they gave me a room that was not cleaned, then they urgently changed it to another one, when I got there on the 7th floor, I could not open the room. I was forced to go to the reception again. My friends checked in the day before and were charged cash for their stay; after asking again, they were given a handwritten document, and in the morning the money was debited from their account again. They didn’t believe that upon check-in their specialist gave such paper. Very strange situation (((
