ibis London Stratford: 2.0 out of 5 stars "ok if nowhere else is available"

29th January 2013, newhamgal, London, United Kingdom

Could do a lot better. One bedside table had been removed from the wall. When I got back to the room late at night discovered a leak in the sink so had to put towels on the floor to mop up water. At breakfast didn't meet anyone at all (could have wandered in from street) and there was nobody around on check out, either. This is a below standard Ibis, based on this visit.

ibis London Stratford: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Business Stay"

21st November 2012, CanuckSheik, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Nothing fancy but good value. I found staff to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was well stocked. Very convenient if having to travel on Central Line for the Tube station. It was unfortunate that Olympic Park was closed for renovations as there is not a whole lot to see or visit in immediate vicinity of hotel.

ibis London Stratford: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Sleeping factory"

12th November 2012, Zorbatsina, Heraklion, Greece

Just to sleep is fine. No atmosphere, standard Ibis rooms. Bathrooms arre prefab standard Ibis. Wash basin is much too low. You nearly have to go on your knees to wash your hands.Goods location as close to railway, underground, overground, DLR, and bus station.

ibis London Stratford: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Stinky, deplorable stay in a noisy location"

28th September 2012, Scrooge McDukk, Melbourne

Our stay at this Ibis was rubbish. One day, we were left with no towels at all, after complaining to reception, where little ability to comprehend English was shown in regard to understanding the issue but a keen eye for money was shown, a full three quarters of an hour later (so much for the fifteen minute satisfaction guarantee) a housemaid was sent up with just two towels and no bath mat. Gave me a look as if I had hit her in the face and fled. The bathroom emitted fumes of a noxious stench that made us feel ill, clearly there's a plumbing problem that needs addressing. When I mentioned this on checking out, reception just asked why we had not raised it earlier. The reason is that the behaviour of the staff had removed all trust, and we felt that vengeance would be exacted by the cleaning staff. As the stay was prepaid before our arrival, and the contract does not permit for refunds, we were stuck there with no option. Management should reconsider who they employ and how they train them, for my several stays with Ibis on this trip will certainly be my last.

ibis London Stratford: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Paralympics weekend"

5th September 2012, Julie P, Loughborough, England, United Kingdom

Good location close to the Stratford railway & tube station, clean rooms with air conditioning, comfy & roomy bed, good choice to eat at the breakfast buffet making the extra charge value for money, friendly staff and would use again.

ibis London Stratford: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Really good cost of money!"

12th June 2012, Blumenau

The hotel is clean and have a really good cost of money, if you compare with the hotels close to the centre of London. It's near to Westfield and the Stratford undergound station, there are some markets near, Mc'Donalds, SubWay, etc as well.

ibis London Stratford: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Stratford Ibis Hotel, London"

24th May 2012, HappyBlue12, Dublin, Ireland

Standard budget hotel located in East London, adjacent to site of forthcoming Olympic Games. Quite convenient to railway/underground station. Well served by local buses. Stayed on room only basis & didn't eat at hotel. Bar service/facilities adequate. Located at busy road junction hence noisey.

ibis London Stratford: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Transport versus price"

23rd May 2012, Norwich, United Kingdom

Handy for free pensioner bus no 25 from Holborn (Central London) yet this remarkable feature not shown on emailed map, nor was nearby rail/tube/light rail interchange. The excellent public transport feature was negated by extortionate hotel price, not helped by restrictive conditions imposed on exchange of A Club voucher. Good tv coverage (eg France and Russia). Some traffic noise and unresponsive heat control.

ibis London Stratford: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent base for city visit"

6th April 2012, Kelso, United Kingdom

Ibis Stratord excellent base for city visit. Railway/tube station approx 10 minutes walk from hotel. Excellent shopping at Stratford Westfield Shopping Centre 10 minutes walk from hotel. Would be an excellent base if attending Olympics as Olympic Park within short walking distance. Although so much new in this area for Olympics area had a very friendly multicultural feeling.Hotel itself was excellent. I'd asked for a quiet room and although bedroom faced onto busy road noise level was minimal when window shut. Breakfast was again excellent value at £7.50.I would certainly go back to Ibis Stratford.

ibis London Stratford: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Backward"

14th February 2012, London, United Kingdom

There is no improvement over the years. Years back, things like hair shampoo, one-paste etc were provided, complimentary card box in the reception desk brings about funs but today are no more. Therefore we are not getting the value for the money being paid. I have recommended the hotel to more than twenty friends in the past but today I am scared of doing that.

ibis London Stratford: 4.0 out of 5 stars "OK hotel in east end london"

23rd January 2012, Leeds

Standard type of Ibis hotel, same the world over, if possible ask for a higher level room just to be sure that there is no noise from passers by or traffic. I was on floor 3, it was fine. Not sure why this hotel or any oter charges for WiFi. I think this is just greedy by hotel company/chain it costs them nothing extra.
