ibis London Stratford - hotel reviews in London

ibis London Stratford: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Not what I hoped"

16th September 2013, Robert C

Good Things - Was handy for my course; Staff did try to help; Room was clean; did agree to pay for taxi; did eventually offer me a room when another guest checked out; gave me complementary drinks whilst I waited.Bad Things - Don't expect to arrive after a five hour journey to be told that although I booked and paid for a room nearly two months ago, and yes, we did call you earlier to confirm you we coming, we've not actually got a room for you, as we over booked, and so have arranged a room miles away, you can get there by taxi. Staff also did not seem to know what a "London A to Z" was, though did look for it - in the wrong place as it turned out. Frankly what I'd hoped would be a stress free trip wasn't.

ibis London Stratford: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Two nights at the Ibis Stratford"

5th September 2013, AnnElisR, Cardiff

The service was courteous and efficient. The room was very good value for money, clean and tidy. The breakfast was very good for a hotel of this range. In hindsight I should have asked for a room at the back because despite double glazing there was a lot of street noise, sirens, people laughing and shouting outside. The disadvantage for us in terms of location is that the parking was a 5 min walk away in Stratford Shopping Centre.

ibis London Stratford: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Need to go shopping? Look no further than the Ibis at Stratford"

15th August 2013

Close to Westfield, the biggest shopping Centre around. Close to the Olympic Park and convenient transport links to the rest of London. An ideal place to stay and reasonable too. We enjoyed it very much. The hotel was clean, service efficient and quick. Staff friendly and helpful. A very good experience.

ibis London Stratford: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Hotel Stratford London"

22nd July 2013, dere72, London, United Kingdom

This particular hotel has been my favourite for quite some time. In the first place, I consider it ideally located with respect to bus and train transportation, and also proximity of shops. The recently added Olympic park is an additional bonus. The rooms are clean and staff very friendly and always willing to help. The hotel has become rather expensive lately, thereby putting to question its value for money. During my current stay which is for a total of 20 days, I have had to pay between £93 to £134 per night, during 8 days. For a hotel in the basic range of £60 per night, I think this is too high.I usually make my bookings by internet. For this hotel, it is not possible to book more that 6 nights, in one booking, by internet. For my 20 nights stay, I had to make four separate bookings. Three bookings each of 6 nights and one booking of 2 nights. I believe something should be done to make long bookings easier. In all, I like the hotel and will continue to use it, and also recommend it to friends.
