"Adequate for short stay."

Stayed one night prior to an early flight from airport. The room was very basic but clean. Everything worked. The towels were clean, there were two soaps. No fridge but a vending machine for drinks at end of corridor as well as snacks. Big hotel with meals next door. Located near shopping strip. Check in was quick and friendly, staff able to direct to eating places and road to airport.We left too early for breakfast but separate area for eating. Car park well lit and seemed secure. Bed ok.For price, seemed good value.

Well, I booked this place by mistake as I was in a hurry. It is one of those typical formula 1 hotels. One studio style room with a bunker with separate bathroom. In short, it is fair quality for the price. We don't persue quality at this price. Location-wise, it is not ideal. It is away from city and the road connecting the airport. This means it is not ideal place to stay if you want to do city tour.

Returned to motel approx 8:30pm to find about 6 adults and 1 child sitting on seats at front door sharing a bong. there was fighting in the rooms on bottom floor.Did not feel safe at motel, air con did not cool down the room and there was no remote for the TV.

I stayed at the Fawkner location for 2 nights. I wasn't expecting luxurious facilities for $90 per night but the smell to mould, the apathy of the staff and the lack of sleep due to a group of people drinking and having loud conversations until 1 am made my stay quite unpleasant.On top of that, the sink was clogged and my room was not cleaned properly next morning. I thought about giving the front desk staff feedback but the shocking attitude of the employees made me keep my comments to myself and never stay at any Formula 1 hotels again.First and last time that I'm giving my business to this hotel chain.

wheelchair access gr8. had 2 move rooms as toilet seat broken then had 2 move back as air con heater didnt work but had to take the toilet seat with us & change it. good if u know what to expect. no fridge,kettle etc.

This hotel was not actually our intended designation. We wanted to stay at the one adjacent to Melbourne Airport, but we did make wrong booking. However it is not too far from the airport but only accessible by taxi (don't have car of course) which costs approx. 30-35 AUD per trip from airport. Bed quality was not up to standard.

Booked it at a great price and was pleasantly surprised...place was clean, quiet, continental breakfast was good, small rooms but perfect for the solo traveller and it was really only somewhere to sleep and store my bags. Could have done with a Powerpoint closer to the TV for my Media Player but I didn't spend enough time in the room for it to really worry me. All in all I was happy with my choice and will stay there again when I am in Melbourne in July if I can get it for the same price.

If you are looking for budget accommodation this is not the place to be. You will be very disappointed. There are many boutique hotels or B&B around that will do much better. The Formule 1 in Fawlkner is filthy, smelly and very uncomfortable. Sometimes all you want is a clean place to stay the night when you are on business of your own. This hotel is definitely not the place to go.
"Bed Bugs"

There were bed bugs all throughout my bed. I woke up in the middle of the night itching, turned on the light and found hundreds of bugs covering both pillows and all throughout the sheets. I had an early flight the next morning so i had to leave before there was anyone at reception, but if there had been I would have demanded my money back. I will never be staying at this motel again and will be advising everyone I know not to either.
