We were near the laundry - so the doors kept openning and shutting all day.Room was nice clean and tidy, just little things like half a curtain in our room 2049, noise, other then that service, value and cleanliness excellent:)

I recently enjoyed a great night attending a wedding held at the hotel. Professional and friendly service from every staff member we met. The rooms are great value for money, clean and comfy with everything you need without paying high rates for things you don't. The Ibis Ellerslie is a very good hotel and I would recommend to anyone who needs an overnight stay or a few days without wanting to break the budget. Excellent facilities overall.

An Accor hotel on Auckland's North Shore would be more convenient for me.I choose Ibis Green Lane for two reasons mainly the good parking availability which is not an extra charge - and this hotel's proximity to the motorway

"Another Great Stay"

Had another great stay at Ibis. Rooms are adequate as we don't spend a lot of time there - just a bed and a shower but service is always good and the rooms are quiet. Free parking and handy to get everywhere you need to go.

Stayed overnight for a wedding - our 2 teenagers had their own room right next door as requested.Rooms very clean and adequate for our stay .Loved that they were modern and had nice furnishings!! Bathroom was like we were on a fancy cruise.Would stay there again. Close to city on Motorway and only few mins to Cornwall Park where we had Wedding reception to go to.

Excellent, quiet, peaceful haven that is very coveniently located to all Auckland suburbs and business districts. Staff are very friendly, helpful, obliging, courteous. Food & beverage service is very good. IBIS rooms are very small as compared to other hotels of similar grading however it was very good value. Parking on site is most important and helpful.

We were in Auckland for a business event at the ASB Showground and decided to stay at the Ibis. The property is shared with the Novotel and we found everything we needed either at the property or in the nearby suburbs. The breakfast was excellent and the buffet of an evening was good. The bar has an outdoor area in a garden that is most pleasant. All the staff were excellent and very helpful. We will stay again.

"Our Review"

As always we enjoyed our stay and meals at the restuarant. The food and quality is excellent.We use to visit the Novatel Restaurant in Hamilton as well but have found the quality and preparation of their food has not been good over the past 12 months. Ibis Auckland Ellerslie restaurant is excellent as well as the one in Rotorua.

Like all Ibis, this is a no-frills hotel, but with all the usual hotel amenities, tea and coffee making facilities and iron and ironing board. Good budget accommodation close to Auckland CBD and close to the major transport network

"Unhappy stay"

Check in/out staff excellent and polite.Room too small, wardrobe too small, bathroom pod? Never seen such a strange bathroom.Had to park in race course parking half the time; when I did find a park at the hotel the spaces were so narrow you could not get out through both side doors.Advertised "free wifi"? Advised that i needed to use in lobby. When I tried to logon there were two available, Novotel and Ibis. Logged in under Ibis and could not connect. Went to staff for advice who pushed to connect, which did not connect but used up my connection for that day!!! Chose to go to McDonalds for WiFi.

"Value for Money"

Great value for money. If you want a simple, clean room with helpful friendly staff this is a good place to stay. Only downside is being located on the fringe of the CBD makes it costly to cab into town. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast, it was lovely. We will stay there again under similar circumstances.

Ibis is a sensible hotel, basic amenities, clean, good value for money and ideal if your on a business trip or just want a place to lay your head at night. Close to the free way and train right next door.

Check in was quick and plesant. However upon entering the room I was assigned it was not serviced ready to occupy. Rang Reception and this was quickly rectified with a staff member bring up another key card to another room and apologies for the mistake, offering to carry luggage to the other room. On entering the ready to occupy Room it was nicely presented and as indicated on the web site newly referbished.

"Airconditioning - not working"

Room 2065 - Room temp is always set on 25C plus, speed is only okay at high speed level, Tissue box is half empty. Apart from these two items, overall is good as always.Order - grab a dinner meal - very quick to be ready to pick up, dishes are good. Good thing is I would choose dish out of the in room takeaway menu, the bad thing is I have to use my own internet data from my laptop to find out the resturant menu on the web site.

"Dissapointed"

The facilities are nice because they are shared with the Novotel but it comes at a price. The vending machines only sell coke etc so it cost me $9.50 for a litre bottle of water at the bar. The shower and toilet was like stepping into a time warp.Airconditioning did not work so room temperature was 23 degrees all night. Avoid room 1041 as it is adjacent the lift and the door was so noisey we heard it open and close all night.Staff were very nice though!

I am totally satisfied with the quality of services and room facilities. However, I am rather disappointed when I actually paid on the internet a fixed price and yet when the statement came in mail, a surcharge for using credit card has been added? There was no mention that a credit card charge would apply or an option for payment by cash or other means without surcharge?! I shall check with VISA credit card and find out what they say!Kind regards

"Our first night at Ibis"

Very friendly service with helpful staff. Room was small but adequate and we thought the bathroom design utilized the space very cleverly. Only issue was the heat at night, with the air con on it was noisy and with it off it was too hot. Overall it was a nice stay and we would stay again. Thanks.

after spending 13 days on a Cruise ship i walked into this place no problem the staff were great very easy to talk and very helpful when it come to founding things to do in town along with booking the. it was a very easy place to get around and with help easy to found. Just like the cruise i didn't feel i needed to leave the place because it had internet. games, food and relaxing areas to seat and read. i will be going back again if i'm ever in Auckland for you. transport was good with the bus line not that far a walk away along with the train which goes into the city

Very handy to all amenities, comfortable, value for money, great service by all. Only issue was the air cond was needed as the window couldn't be opened for fresh air - air cond was noisy. I have recommended the hotel to people during my visit while up on holiday from Chch - it was great to not feel any earthquakes
