ibis Amsterdam City Stopera: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Ideal for opera visit"

16th February 2013, EindhovenPooh, Eindhoven

Perfect place to stay when going to an opera that finishes late. There are plenty of attractive breakfast bars in the neighbourhood. Go down the Jodenbreestraat for example. There are also attractive shops in that street and then there's the Rembrandt House.

ibis Amsterdam City Stopera: 4.0 out of 5 stars "bang!"

26th January 2013, LazerusAthens_Greece, Athens, Greece

Good hotel, but the corridors are noisy : doors are closed with a slam, thanks to the doorpusher.:too strong and heavy.ombined with a group of jetleggedand loud talking tourists coming in between 2 and 4 a night....

ibis Amsterdam City Stopera: 3.0 out of 5 stars "very noisy!!!!"

2nd January 2013, AlexPB_19, Geneva, Switzerland

Hotel is well located, rooms are clean and newly furnished BUT you hear all the noise from corridors and other rooms so don t expect to have a nice sleep!!Reception is nice and you re well welcome.Breakfast is ok (buffet) but expensive for what you get.

ibis Amsterdam City Stopera: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good hotel for your stay in Amsterdam"

27th December 2012, AIUS, Pesaro, Italy

The hotel service was very good, personel was also very friendly.I like very much the room: simple but very confortable for two people. They reserved for me and my wife a room with canal view. Not one of the beautiful canals, but better of an anonymous road! The location of the hotel near to the main places to visit, but far away from the mess. The ideal place to rest after a day walking.

ibis Amsterdam City Stopera: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good Economical stay"

19th December 2012, rish14, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India

As room rates were discounted to almost 50% it was worth staying in IBIS. Its not in the main centre of Amsterdam but its not even far from it. With bike ride(cycle) u will be at the main attractions of Amsterdam in 10 mins. Same standard with quality rooms make this IBIS a good deal.

ibis Amsterdam City Stopera: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Location + but noise -"

13th December 2012, Rane561, Helsinki, Finland

Good location, staf was helpful, lobby and corridors clean. It would be nice if cleaner person take trashes away every day. And do something to soundproofing of room door, now every steps and talk and othet voices can heard to room like door is open to corridor :-( it's difficult to sleep such noises. And also, why cleaning staf did take my girlfriends panties ? They do not were meant put to trash, they was just lying on the bed.

ibis Amsterdam City Stopera: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Nice hotel to a city visit"

18th October 2012, London, United Kingdom

Nice hotel. Nothing bad to say. They should provide individual shower gel and shampoo instead of having 1 bottle of shower gel/shampoo attached to the wall of the shower which has to be shared by all guests (not very hygienic).

ibis Amsterdam City Stopera: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Bed and Breakfast"

12th October 2012, mhilal77, saihat,Saudi Arabia

If you need to stay on middle of Amsterdam but not in the noisy location for good bed and breakfast, this hotel is the best with great value. Central of Amsterdam is less than 10 minutes walking. Tram is available within 3 minutes walking. Beside that if you have Car you have panty of pay parking next to the Hotel.

ibis Amsterdam City Stopera: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Three days in Amsterdam"

7th October 2012, debitor, Tiberias Israel

I enjoyed our stay at the Ibis Amsterdam City Stopper. The staff were ver helpful and immediately dealt with any questions or needs. The only thing I would have liked is a coffee/tea tray in our room since I know that other Ibis hotels do offer this - I recently stayed at the Luton Ibis where I could mkae a drink when I wanted. The position of the hotel was very convenient and the size was pleasent - providing alll the ammaeniaites needed. Thank you to all Debbie Gabai - Israel

ibis Amsterdam City Stopera: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Good times"

5th October 2012, MrsFoneJackerNI, Larne, United Kingdom

The hotel is in a great location, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay here, I always do. It was good this time that the Wi-fi was free as in times before there was a small charge for 24hr access. For me personally, the only other thing that could improve the rooms would be tea & coffee making facilities. There are vending machines & of course the restaurant, both very handy, but sometimes, some of us actually need coffee before we can function properly & join the rest for breakfast! There are no real bad points, I recommend this hotel. :)

ibis Amsterdam City Stopera: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Amazing Service"

3rd September 2012, patelr1987, Opelika, Alabama, USA

Staff was very friendly in recommending places to visit and eat! There was a timing mix up with the trains we were taking back to London. Maya was extremely helpful in finding a solution! I'd stay here again when I visit.

ibis Amsterdam City Stopera: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice location, good large room"

30th August 2012, Boazmohar

The hotel was very nice. Good location, 10-15min walk to dam square. large rooms with 1.6m bed that was very comfortable. The staff was nice and helpful. It is closest to Waterlopin station (4 min walk) and there are many transportation options nearby as well a a large supermarket, a bank and the Rembrandt house.Overall we enjoyed our week there.

ibis Amsterdam City Stopera: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Generally a good stay apart from one big error"

16th August 2012, thedreadpersephone, Glasgow, United Kingdom

We arrived at the hotel, checked in and were given our keys. So far so good. However when we went to the room it was occupied. We didn't actually see a person but the room was a mess and the TV was on. In a panic we quickly shut the door and went back to the reception. We had to wait quite a few minutes for attention as the only person at the desk was occupied. When we explained we then had to wait about while they tried to find out what the problem was. Eventually they gave us another room. I have nothing else to complain about - the new room was clean, comfortable, quiet and the staff were friendly and polite. We weren't even particularly upset about the first room, we found the whole thing quite funny. On the other hand, I do feel they could have been a bit more apologetic or offered some sort of freebie to make up for it.
