"Clean and confortable"
1st March 2013, farsouth, Wellington, New Zealand
Booked here using the Accor website based on cost. Close to Southern Cross station and a ten minute walk to Fed Square. Rooms are not very big but we were only in the room to sleep. Clean, with comfortable beds, not noisy. Good value for the price

"Close to Every thing"
27th February 2013, Perth, Australia
Is part of the ACCOR Group of Motels. We selected this motel and have stayed at the motel before because of its proximity to the Souther Cross Station and tram to either the city, Laygon Street or St Kilda. There are plenty of eats and coffee shops around. Is not an up market hotel but you do not pay the big $'s.

"poor aircon"
24th February 2013, h0tsweaty, Sydney, Australia
The aircon virtually did not work our entire three day stay. We advised reception and they tried to say that it took time to cool down....and leave our card in power slot and close curtains etc. This made no difference. The room temp did not go below 27 degrees.

"Hotel Ibis Melbourne Little Bourke Street"
19th February 2013, Mikeat33, Malvern, United Kingdom
Staff made me feel welcome. My room, unfortunately, had no view from the window, but the room was very clean, well set out and very comfortable. The hotel is within 300 metres, easy walking distance from Southern Cross Station, and within easy walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants. Price was very similar to all other hotels within the local area

Management responseDear Mikeat33Great to hear your feedback and many thanks for taking the time to do so.The team really appreciate feedback to make the necessary improvements. The hotel is very limited with views from the rooms, as we are surrounded by some very tall buildings. We wish you all the best with your travels.thanks Mary Ellen O'MalleyGeneral Manager

"Review of Ibis Little Bourke St Melb"
5th February 2013, Kazzab77, Adelaide, Australia
I love your Hotel, I always stay with you when I come to Melbourne. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean. My only constructive criticism would be that therooms need updating a little. The bathrooms are clean but a little old now and it would be good to have modern flatscreen TV's with full HD so you can actually read the notices that are on the bottom of the screen in news bulletins etc. The air con rattles in room 406 and kept me awake all night.Other than that I enjoyed my stay as usual. *smilesKaren

We would love to show you the display room - please ask for me at Reception and I would be greteful to get your input. Many thanks and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.Mary Ellen O'MalleyGeneral Manager

"Great Location"
31st January 2013, Canberra, Australia
We chose this hotel for its fantastic location, close to station but not too loud (from street noise). Room and stay was fine, but nothing exceptional. The only negative for the room was that the air-conditioner was a bit loud.

"Good Ibis Value"
23rd January 2013, personalchoice, Melbourne
Again I have stayed here before. It has a b/fast room and food on the run from reception 24/7. Value is good and is good location if you need to use the Rail Station or be near Spencer Street. The off side is not the hotel but the area. Lots of night clubs and bad street . ie holes, broken pavements etc. Also few eateries at weekends. Next morning the street is a disgrace to the city of Melbourne. You can see all around where the patrons have continued their partying (and worse I cannot mention here). Not a nice area at night. I use it when in transit. Stay away from Kings road where all bad things happen. I do not go out after dark here.. But apart from that the Ibis hotels are really getting better all the time and if you want a short stay in transit etc then this is fine . Do not be put off by the appearance of adjacent buildings.

Management responseDear PersonalChoiceMany thanks for your ongoing support of the hotel and we greatly appreciateyou taking the time to share your experiences.Ibis as a brand are proactively working to evolve as the needs and demands of our lifestyles change and we are please to see you have seen this happening to us.Our neighbours have over the years changed and we endeavour to work as closely as possible to ensure that we can all life in harmony. At times this is very challenging and in particular weekends we are in regular contact with the police to enforce appropriate behaviour on the street. The ongoing building development site is approximately halfway through its build and when complete and the heavy traffic is removed Melbourne City council will review the streets and footpaths. Once again many thanks for your support and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.thanksMary Ellen O'MalleyGeneral Manager

"Good for budget business travellers"
21st December 2012
Very close to Spencer St station, it's quite handy for business travellers. I did take the family with me on this occasion, and while it's a good enough hotel, there's no provision for more than 2 people to a room. We had to pay for 2 rooms.

Management responseDear Accor TravellerMany thanks for your valuable feedback on your recent stay. The hotels rooms are designed to accommodate a maximum of 2 people.Rooms are unable to accommodate additional bedding. This does unfortunately limit our attractiveness to parties large than 2 people and in particularfamilies of 2 adults and 2 children can only be accommodated in 2 rooms.Seasons Greetings.Mary Ellen O'MalleyGeneral Manager

"Won't stay again"
13th December 2012, ben_flood, Sydney, Australia
Whilst the hotel had a great location for people travelling interstate, the accommodation was very average. They hotel has a cafe and references this in the hotel but you could not obtain any food or drink. There are vending machines but people wanting a light snack e.g. a sandwich, this was no available. I appreciate the hotel is cheap and it will carry a cost to have the cafe staffed, but is it not better to being earning some additional income in this environment rather than giving it to subway around the corner. The TV was poor, the bath may as well not be there the room was very small. Having a few drinks in the bar fridge is also a good revenue earner. Most people will have at least a soft drink.

Management responseDear Ben FloodMany thanks for your time to share your recent experience at the hotel.Aspects of the hotel did meet your expectations which is great to hear. We hear your comments in relation to additional income revenue opportunities. The hotel offers an all you can eat daily buffet breakfast in the Cafe. Other meal options are available with a grab n go menu in the room outside breakfast hours. A range of mini bar items - alcoholic beverages are available from Reception. The baths in the rooms are 3/4 baths built when the hotel opened which was considered an essential accessory at the time. Currently we are in the process of reviewing the options to remove the baths and replace with a shower only option. At this stage we do not know when this process will be completed. We wish you all the best.Seasons Greetings.Mary Ellen O'MalleyGeneral ManagerWe wish
