Very handy to everything - Darlig Harbour, shops, trains, Chinatown, Paddy's market. Staff at coffee shop very friendly & helpful. Bed was a bit squeaky.

I picked the most expensive room (Deluxe King) but the quality of the room is way below my expectation. Comparing my experience at other Novotel hotels in Singapore and Hong Kong, this is the worst experience I had so far. Mattress is uncomfortable; you can still feel the metal spring! Also, the entrance card was not reliable; I have to replace/fix my card every day.

Was a bit disappointed with the lack of choice of yoghurt and museli at breakfast.However, the manager/maitre'd of breakfast on Sat and Sun morning was one of the best hospitality personnel I have ever met. Courteous, helpful, kind, a complete gentleman and a consumate professional, he is a assest to the hotel.

Stayed many a time at this hotel since it opened in early 2000. In a very convenient location and the price now is a bit cheaper than the hotels right in the CBD, however when it initially opened I thought it was expensive. However now it is on the mark.Only issue is that we need certain items for the room which were arranged in the booking, but weren't there when we arrived. But it was rectified immediately so can't complain.Rooms will need a make over in the next 5 years however.

the hotel was in a great location for walking to darling harbour and alst to the centre of the city. the rooms were cleaned really great each day and the staff were really friendly and helpful;

Check in was fast and friendly with some great tips for where to go for dinner.The hotel is in a prime location next to Chinatown and easy walking distance to all that Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay has to offer.All staff were attentive and friendly, service was great.The hotel is an easy place to get to and from by car, and parking is right out the front of the hotel. Definitely will,be back.

We were very impressed with the facilities at the hotel - very comfortable bed and the breakfasts were great. Staff were helpful and accommodating to our needs. It was handy to most things in town and shops were easily accessible. Would stay again!

"Novotel Rockford @Darling Harbour Sydney"

Room was satisfactory although our room had a blind over the main window that was damaged and we were unable to close it at all. This meant that we could only close a light flimsy curtain which still allowed all the cities exterior lighting into our room. My wife was able to sleep but i tossed and turned all night. The location, however, is excellent, and the staff were helpful and polite. We will happily stay again although i will check the window coverings next time!

Room was very small and basic - but ok for price. Location is good with easy access to Darling Harbour. Service at front desk was very slow.

Good location. Could have cleaner rooms. our sheets were stained and dirty. iI requested for them to be changed when we arrived. this incident made our stay start on a negative note and gave me bad vibes about the place. The bathroom could have been cleaner as well.First impressions are always what you remember.

Stayed here for a short (overnight) Easter break with my boyfriend. Very, very good location. The pool is excellent, with the water just the perfect temperature for a dip. Showers both at the pool in and in the room are really nice. The room we stayed in is clean with very nice view of the gardens.TV is quite big but the reception is poor. The springs on the bed were quite noisy as you can hear it everytime someone moves. The airconditioner, I think, is a bit dated and very noisy even when we tried to turn it off, so we didn't get a good sleep.

"Great Location !!!!"

The hotel location is excellent!! So close to all the tourist attracktions . However. We were not able to use our Accor plus card for Dinner on the Easter weekends. We were a bit disappointed. apart from that, everything else is fine.

had great difficulty communicating with staff as any I dealt with had English as second language. I also left a hair straightener in the hotel and was told it was not there when I went back to get it. I rang the hotel when we returned to QLD after I had checked my luggage again, I was told someone would check with house keeping and call me back , no one returned the call. We also purchased 4 breakfast vouchers and found the food to be sub standard and cold and not worth $30.00. For this reason we will not be staying in the hotel again

Apart from the manager on at the time I found the hotel disconected Resturant come bar come Disco [whatever] at one end breakfast bar at the other . The food was well below what Ihave come to expect at your other hotelsand haveing just come out of China were Istayed in your Hotels over there Iwas disapointed

The hotel is in a fantastic location and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were comfortable though small. One of our rooms had to be changed as the shower leaked; the hotel staff were very accommodating in doing so. Other travellers have talked about the street noise but I did not hear any.

Service grumpy and inflexible. Valet parking expensive and slow to deliver, expensive WiFi.But its a great location and the rooms are good. Don't expect to feel welcome though.

Stayed one night for attending concert at Entertainment centre - perfect location and no noise / disturbance from people attending concert or the building overall. Breakfast staff were exceptional - check-in staff member not really looking happy to be there but she also checked us out the next day so could have been tired from a back-to-back shift. Only issue seemed to be room temperature - quite chilly on arrival and couldn't locate a thermostat - turned the air off to sleep but woke at 4am too hot, so had to turn air back on and stay awake to shut it off again as it was quite noisy. Also pillows were quite flat / uncomfortable otherwise room functional and clean.

"Great Location in Sydney"

Nice and close to Darling harbour and all that has to offer, close to Paddy's market, china town and CBD as well. Great hotel, great breakfast. Charging $30 for 24hr Wireless Internet was dissapointing in this day and age. Typical thick hotel pillow, when are they going to offer thin thin pillows?Over all a fantastic hotel and we will definately come again but from now on I will travel with my own pillow when traveling.
