Awesome view from the hotel lounge at level 48, on the Pudong building skyline. Managers at hotel namely Alison, Elva n Quentin hv been very helpful n their hospitality make my stay a more memorable visit to Shanghai .

1) I was refused/declined reservation when I called but I succeeded in booking via accor website 2) The room carpet was not vacuum-cleaned and your feet got filthy 3) poor light for the room 4) The General Manager Mr.Francis Goh was very rude when I complained and just said that it was up to me to stay or not

Nice hotel, good breakfast, clean, easy check in and check out, helpful and friendly staff. One day I had lunch at the restaurant on second floor and it was tasteful and the service was quick and polite. Very satisfied with the stay, I will recommend it.

I booked this hotel because it was in LuJiaZui area of Shanghai, thought it would be very convenient to go to this popular area. The hotel though is about an hour's walk away, and even 3 city blocks away from the nearest metro. With Pudong Avenue undergoing massive construction, there is not much to say about the immediate area, and while the staff and room were all quite friendly and what you'd expect from Novotel, overall the experience was disappointing.

Great friendly staff greet you at the door and help you nicely with bags. Reception/Desk staff are friendly and efficient. Staff in the lounge are supportive, friendly and comforting, and remember how you like your coffee. Dining room facilities are very good and staff friendly and charming. Room and facilities are warm and comfortable. A Greg hotel for a visit to Shanghai.

Nice view from upper floors, convenient drive to Exhibition centre, Have stayed in the same hotel for 5 to 6 times in last few years. Check in / Check out easy, front desk helpful. Only big issue was with the house keeping - tea cups remained un attended, dust bin not cleared, remained full of trash , bath towels not changed.

The hotel is fairly well located, quite close to a metro station. I stayed at a priviledged corner room on 42nd floor. The room was ok, albeit a bit quaint. The service was ok, but nothing exceptional. As a Gold member, I wasn't offer a welcome drink, nor any other special welcome, usually given to Gold members. Breakfast was ok, but again, nothing special. All in all, this hotel is ok, but far from a high level of quality for Novotel. It also offers fairly little in terms of value for money.

great place in the middle of business. walking distance to many offices. Just great to have breakfast in the lounge on 48th floor. Lobby lacks a bit ambiente but spacious bar from where you can see everyone coming and going. Great for relaxing people watching :-). Be prepared many of the staff do not know English but they sure have a very friendly and charming way of explaining things to you. with a rate of aound 100 USD you have a great price/value ratio

If you want a great hotel, amazing views and pretty good location to Metro, this is your hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The check in and out staff was great. Ask for a room away from the elevators. I have executive status and there were a few negatives about the executive lounge staff. They were stand off ish and when you wanted something you had to walk to the front and ask. They seemed unaware there were people in the lounge. There were signers from the 50th floor restaurant hanging out in the corner. I do not mind this. I understand sometimes there are no break rooms or places to be and being a singer you do not want to sit in a kitchen. I get that, but it is better to be seen and not heard. They laughed, talked, rumbled, and were a little loud. If you are staying there. Be ready to do your bidding in the executive lounge, but THE VIEWS are amazing.

This was my first time to stay at this hotel and stayed for the night only with a early departure to catch my next flight. Overall the stay was okay, a minor issue with the first key card I was given not working, the checkout process was great considering it was just before 5:00am and the guy also arranged a taxi and for me without any hassles.
