"Cheap for Switzerland"

hotel is clean and comfortable. <It is very basic, but for Switzerland the value is quite good. No kettle to make a cup of tea and no safe in the room. No fridge to keep drinks cold etc. Very good for the price

Reasonable hotel well located in the downtown of the Baar. Easy access and parking facolity for those travelling by car.Small but clean and sufficient room.Restaurant and bar service have lower quality bellow expectation. I recommend eat outside. Very poor breakfest.

I have stayed at the Ibis in Baar several times and took advantage of a 50% off offer to stay just before Christmas.The hotel is directly opposite Baar railway station, which is very convenient if you are carrying a lot of luggage.It is a typical small new Ibis hotel with a bar and snack facility, but no restaurant. Restaurant Neumuhle is less than 100m away and is highly recommended.There can be noise from the locals late at night, but they normally disappear before midnight.100% Non-smoking, but a covered area in front of the hotel is available.

The hotel was clean and fine for our one night stay. However, after running the AC we started to hear dripping noises from the bathroom. There was water dripping from the ceiling and creating a puddle in the bathroom. We called the front desk and after a few repeated calls, the women (by herself and busy) came up to the room and said it was a problem with the AC. We had to sleep with it off which made it uncomfortable. The women offered to switch our room immediately, but we were already settled and trying to go to sleep. She then offered us a complimentary breakfast, but failed to leave a note for the women on the morning shift.

I have stayed in this hotel with my family (Parents and kids). We enjoyed the stay except the issues with the air conditioning system. It was working fine but the room temp was not decreasing even though it was on through out the night. For me, it is negligible since I was tired and sleeping. Other than that the hotel is perfect and clean. Parking is not so expensive since they charge 5 CHF from 6 PM to 9 AM ( I left every morning before 9 for sight seeing). There is a railway station just opposite to the hotel which is very good when you use public transport system.

The great feature of this hotel is its location: right in front of Baar Railway Station, which means you have the whole Zug Kanton at easy reach!As for the rest, not particularly fancy: the room we were given was tiny small, the heating did not work and there were no spare pillows and blanket in the closet (we had to ask for them) nor complimentary toilet stuff in the bathroom a part from soap. However the front desk guy was very kind and the breakfast magnificent! Should I return to Baar, I would choose this hotel again for its convenient position but for what you spend it is not a great bargain.
