"second worst breakfast known to Man !"

The very poor breakfast has only ever been beaten for mediocrity by the previous day's stay in Accot Suite hotel, Paris CDG. More satisfying to go hungry than endure the breakfast in Paris and Lyon Mercure. Hotel expensive but OK but breakfast lost it for me.

It's always difficult to pick a hotel in a city that you have never visited, and it often takes me hours to try find the perfect balance of location, amenities, and value. I am happy to say that this hotel was a great choice for my first time in Lyon. Location was central to all the neighborhoods I wanted to explore (all by walking), and yet it was on a quiet street that felt safe at night. The room I had was a little cramped and could use a remodel (the bathroom was especially 80s and worn), but everything functioned well and I found the bed to be very comfortable. The a/c was nice, since a few days were hot and humid. Breakfast was included in my package, which was a nice spread and a great start to a day of exploring (but I wouldn't pay 16 euros for it).
"Good Location, Nice Rooms, Poor Service"

On two occaisons, I went to the hotel Bar / Restaurant with colleaugues. We were the only people in the bar, and could not get service without getting out of our chairs and asking for service. When we needed another drink we would need to get up and tell someone at the front desk to please send someone to help. This happened the same way on two consecutive nights.
