"nice in-town hotel"
3rd September 2013, Alexionr, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
Well situated off the Place de la République. Close to transit (one streetcar gets you to Part Dieu directly). The room was rather small (what French reviewers might label "classique") but the amenities were up to date. The only fault I would call out is that the ventilation was not up to the humidity of a shower; opening the window and door was necessary to clear the air. On the other hand I wasn't in town for the pleasure of spending time in a hotel room, so there things didn't much matter. The price was a bit on the high side, but still acceptable. The breakfast buffet was good, with stuff that covered various food habits. The folks at the desk were quite helpful.
"In the center of Lyon"

an excelent choice for being at the very center of Lyon. Very easy access from the airport. The lines of metro are very close to the hotel. The territory is foul of shopping facilities and you can have almost immediate access to both rivers of Lyon
"Fabulous Hotel and a Fabulous Stay"

I enjoyed the peace and quiet I needed offered in all the facilities of your hotel. This definitely added to the excellent service of the staff.I will definitely recommend your hotel to friends and family, and I’m sure I’ll be back on vacation. I hope to get the same quality of service when I return. Thanks again, see you soon

Very good hotel.Just one complaint: I was in another Mercure hotel in Lyon and in it i've always recevied a free bottle of water. This could be provided (at least for a platinum member as me). But i will again be in Lyon and more likely i will choose it again.
"second worst breakfast known to Man !"
28th September 2011
The very poor breakfast has only ever been beaten for mediocrity by the previous day's stay in Accot Suite hotel, Paris CDG. More satisfying to go hungry than endure the breakfast in Paris and Lyon Mercure. Hotel expensive but OK but breakfast lost it for me.
"excellent location and value for a first trip to Lyon"
13th June 2011, Haroutioun
It's always difficult to pick a hotel in a city that you have never visited, and it often takes me hours to try find the perfect balance of location, amenities, and value. I am happy to say that this hotel was a great choice for my first time in Lyon. Location was central to all the neighborhoods I wanted to explore (all by walking), and yet it was on a quiet street that felt safe at night. The room I had was a little cramped and could use a remodel (the bathroom was especially 80s and worn), but everything functioned well and I found the bed to be very comfortable. The a/c was nice, since a few days were hot and humid. Breakfast was included in my package, which was a nice spread and a great start to a day of exploring (but I wouldn't pay 16 euros for it).
"Good Location, Nice Rooms, Poor Service"
6th April 2011, Milwaukee, WI
On two occaisons, I went to the hotel Bar / Restaurant with colleaugues. We were the only people in the bar, and could not get service without getting out of our chairs and asking for service. When we needed another drink we would need to get up and tell someone at the front desk to please send someone to help. This happened the same way on two consecutive nights.
