"Left standing outside for 20 minutes"
18th April 2012, RJK-traveller, York, United Kingdom
The restaurant which is supposedly open every day was CLOSED - on my return from finding a meal elsewhere the front door of the hotel was locked and it took 20 minutes of standing outside ringing the bell before anyone came. It was only 8.30 at night - not particularly late. This is appalling.

We used this hotel as a stopover on our journey home from holidaying in Italy. We are never disappointed with Ibis hotels and will use them whenever possible. The hotel was immaculate as usual the service was first class with very friendly staff. great onsite parking and as an excellent breakfast.
"The Worst Group Accor Hotel in EU"
25th May 2011, Paignton
Both my wife & I spend on a regular basis some 50 - 75 days a year in Group Accor hotels all over the world, mostly on business travel, but sometime also simply on personal trips. Apart from Novotel Heathrow, which in our opinion takes the second worst place in EU, this Ibis hotel in Strasbourg simply has to take the first place as the worst stay ever. Where to begin? It would be an utter waste of time to try. Just some snippets for "amusement" purposes. My wife & I ordered first and main courses of supper where there were six other tables occupied at the same time. First course came, was horrible, out of date, taste-less, but did arrive after waiting for more than half an hour. Second course also came nonetheless, only one that being a hamburger with chips and salad. This is indeed impossible to correctly describe. Meat you would not dare to serve to your worst enemy's dog, salad has not seen fridge and was at least two days left outside, chips likely collectedc from another person's left overs. But, since I have eaten loads of hard to cope with things in my life having served in the army, I chose to ignore this and go ahead. The waiter asks would you like more bread? I say yes, of course, He leaves - 40 minutes thereafter, (when I've already bravely eaten the worst meal of last decade), and there is no bread coming and no meal for my wife, I have had enough and call the waiter who has been happily chatting up his female colleague next to a bar inside for over 5 minutes totally ignoring every guest in the hotel. I give him a dressing down in front of all, and all he has to say for himself is that the bead was still baking! Then we go to our room and get the phone call from the manager. She has no problem understanding that staff with whom we spoke in clear French, just like with her, should have understood well, and delivered us what we asked for. She also has no complication in understanding that if a waiter gets an order from a table of 2 where he thinks he has heard only 1 main course being ordered, he should ask to have this order confirmed. She offers us a coffee "on the house". We politely decline - as we have no specific desire to be poisoned yet again by the same "cook" and the "waiting staff". There would be so much more to descibe, but what a waste of time that would be. To the reader/s of this little article - if you are brave enough you may dare to stay at this hotel, but we advise you to make that littel effort and travel a few miles further.
"Clean and functional"
15th April 2011, Chisinau
Nice staff, clean hotel; a train station which brings you in 6 minutes to the centre is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel, although trains do not run regularly. However, 97 EUR per night is overpriced.
"Hotel rooms"

Hotel itself is fine, very friendly service, even to my 1 year old baby, however, the room was a bit old & smaller compares to the other Ibis room I stayed.
