Mercure Paris La Sorbonne: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice experience"

22nd May 2012, Dino721, Dublin, Ireland

The hotel was clean, comfortable and well-located on a relatively quiet street. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were good. The room was a reasonable size by Paris standards but storage was minimal.

Mercure Paris La Sorbonne: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Perfect location"

5th May 2012, VikingFarm, McLaren Vale, Australia

Location, location, location. You can't find a better place to stay. What you can't reach on foot, the Metro is only a few hundred meters away. Small rooms, but everything you need is there and the beds are very comfortable.Very good value for money.

Mercure Paris La Sorbonne: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Fab Hotel!"

4th April 2012

Excellent location right next to the Sorbonne but not on the main street. The service was very good and ste staff were freindly and helpful. The room was small but very clean and had a hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities, tv (although no English channels) and a mini safe.Would definitely stay there again and have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

Mercure Paris La Sorbonne: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Perfect in every way"

5th March 2012, Bern, Switzerland

My daughter (aged 22) and I had 6 days in Paris and staying at the Mercure Paris La Sorbonne was the icing on the cake. The location in the Latin Quarter was perfect, close to many attractions, a choice of nearby metro stations, wide range of restaurants, supermarkets and shops, all within an easy walk. The room we stayed in was perfect and although small, it was extremely quiet and very comfortable.

Management responseDear Client,We are sorry that you have experienced some problems with the heating in your room. It is very unusual, as our system is working rather efficiently. The regulation remote control allows 3 powers of fan (low - medium - high), and includes a thermostat to select the desired temperature.Usually, during winter, our system provides easily low or strong heat on demand (same for air conditioning during summer), and we don't have regular complaints about the heating. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this dysfunction might have caused. If you intend to come back to Paris in the next future, please feel free to contact me personally. I would be pleased to take a special care about your comfort.Best regards,Lucien SchwendenmannManager

Mercure Paris La Sorbonne: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great location and price-quality balance"

8th October 2011, rooymans, Melbourne, Australia

Although a small hotel, the location is pretty good. Walking distance to some of the best tourist attractions like Quartier Latin and Notre Dame and in the middle of the student neighbourhood with plenty of bars and restaurants. Relatively easy to reach by car, although no parking facility at hotel and carpark costs 30+ Euro per 24 hour day. Public transport is ok (RER line B, but underground line 10).

Mercure Paris La Sorbonne: 4.0 out of 5 stars "enjoyed paris"

22nd September 2011, Wollongong, Australia

room very small however location excellent close to restaurents of latin quarter lack of information on tourism was annoying as we had to find hop on hop off stops ourselves the bed was very comfortable after this hotel we moved to novotel les halles room much bigger but lacked sorbonne atmosphere

Mercure Paris La Sorbonne: 3.0 out of 5 stars "small hotel in great location"

3rd September 2011, Jakarta, Indonesia

this is defintely hotel for business traveller as it located perfectly close to every important spots in the Paris business / government office district. unfortunately it was not supported by sufficient computer and network (such as wifi), so you have to ask the hotel staff to check or send your email (very annoying).

Mercure Paris La Sorbonne: 1.0 out of 5 stars "Paris Sorbonne"

29th June 2011, Berlin

Given tiny room on ground floor with no view - nothing else available - no optionThe room did not at all resemble the photos on the website Prepaid room for €200 so not much bargaining power !I will not be coming back to this hotel

Mercure Paris La Sorbonne: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Mecure Sorbonne"

This Hotel is very comfortable and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent in the Latin quarter, only a short walk to Notre Dame and Jardin du Luxembourg. Very Modern and quiet. Hard to fault.

Mercure Paris La Sorbonne: 4.0 out of 5 stars "excellent break in Paris Hearth"

5th May 2011, ASTI

hi , as my wife lived in Paris for almost three years we decided for this time (we have been in paris so many many times) to be in the hearth of Paris for our vacation. We found this lovely hotel very close to the Sorbonne, five minutes walk from the city centre and almost every connection to everywhere in Paris. the hotel was really clean and we got a warm welcome. the room really clean and with all you need (tv, coffee maker etc etc). special mention you have WIFI for free in all the hotel even in the room.

Mercure Paris La Sorbonne: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Almost Perfect, But..."

27th April 2011, wineguy999, Houston TX

The location is perfect, the hotel is clean and the rooms are well outfitted. The problems we had were minimal, but worth mentioning. It was unseasonably hot during our visit, and the room was quite warm in the afternoons. The modern multi-function thermostat is apparently only a prop from a movie set. No cold air. We were told that there is only heating or cooling available at any given time. Too bad if the weather doesn't cooperate, I guess. The only other detail is the 14 Euro breakfast - complete and abundant, but suppose you don't want a full breakfast? Too bad - coffee (delicious) and a croissant are the same as the full monty. Go down to the corner and get coffee, juice and a pastry for 5 Euro.
