Excellent Hotel & Location , staff very helpful and polite, the area had plenty of shops and restaurants and the metro to get to all the attractions just around the corner. We went to watch the Wales match at the Euro 2016 and the metro system took us directly there with ease. The area seemed to come alive at night time with the restaurants full and looked an enjoyable place to be ,although not trying any as we did not get the time. Will definitely be returning when we get more time to explore Paris as its a top city. Wayne EVANS

Fantastically located near Notre Dame and the Sorbonne - great to explore of all of Paris from. Lots of great local restaurants all a bit cheaper than the more central locations. Only 40-50 bedrooms so didn't feel like a large chain hotel but great level of service.

Not a bad hotel, nice and clean in the Rive Gauche very close to Sorbonne university and steps away from the enchanting Cluny Museum. Too bad it's expensive for the size of the rooms; everything is really tiny, and the rooms have a look that is a bit "worn on the edges". Also the underground breakfast room does not impress in a wholly positive way.
Dear Madam, We would like to thank you for sharing your review after your recent stay with us at Hotel Mercure Paris La Sorbonne Saint Germain des Pres. Indeed we are located on the Left Bank in the very heart of Paris, within walking distance of Notre Dame, Cluny Museum, Panthéon, Luxembourg gardens and Saint-Germain des Prés, in a historic building of the Latin Quarter in front of the University of La Sorbonne. All the comments are very precious for us as they allow us to continuously improve our level of service. However, it seems important for us to remind you that Hotel Mercure Paris La Sorbonne Saint Germain des Pres has been renovated in 2011 (our rooms, public areas, but also our breakfast room). Paris is well known by customers for its room size, indeed we are in an authentic millenium city but this also contributes to its charm. We would be glad to welcome you back to our hotel for another stay. Do not hesitate to contact us directly you will be assured to get the best price. Yours sincerely. Maria Pires Manager
The hotel and its location is great and the staff wonderful. We were put in a larger room without extra charge simply because it was available. The interior design is modern and beds are so comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with many choices. What I most appreciated was the staff. Antonia, the receptionist, is simply wonderful. Knowledgeable, caring, very helpful. Thank you Antonia for making our trip so memorable!

Picked the hotel because it was close to a station linked with the airport, was in a great location and had decent facilities for a small, and reasonably priced hotel. It worked out perfectly. The hotel was welcoming, had a small bar, clean rooms, and was close to Notre Dame, Isle St Louis, Latin Quarter etc. Would recommend.

The hotel is located close to the Louvre, Notre Dame and Quartier Latin. Service was excellent and rooms were clean and quiet. However for 250 EUR a night I expected a bigger room. Still, I kind of enjoyed this hotel.
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your comment regarding our hotel the Mercure Paris La Sorbonne. As well as the great location of the hotel close to Le Louvre, Notre Dame and in the very heart of Quartier Latin, we are very glad to read, that you found the service excellent and our rooms clean and quiet. Effectively our rooms are a little bit small, but in central Paris it is not easy to find space, especially in a 47 rooms hotel. Finally, we are very happy to read that you enjoyed our hotel, it will be a big pleasure for us to welcome you back. Please don't hesitate to contact us directly for your next booking. Perfect location, close to city center. In walkin distance to St.Michel, Notre Dame. A lot of restaurants in the close area. Breakfast room in L-1 a little bit unpersonal but food quality is very good Staff very friendly. Room appliances not really up to date but still clean.
Dear Madam, Dear Sir, First of all we thank you for having chosen our hotel for your visit, and for having taken the time to share your comments. Located in the city center, Hotel Mercure Paris La Sorbonne is perfect to walk to Notre-Dame, Saint-Michel or to the most famous restaurants of the city (such as Lipp, Le Procope, Balzar, …) Your review has been relayed to our staff as your satisfaction is our best satisfaction. Upon your next stay with us, we advise you our Privilege room category wich is totally new. Those rooms have been renovated in 2013. Yours Sincerely, Maria Pires Assistant Manager
fantastic location, we were given a free upgrade on the room and enjoyed the view's of The Sorbonne,, however we did suffer from the broken bath plug so we were unable to fill the bath and the shower was difficult to wash in with out flooding the bathroom floor , this wasn't remedied for all of our stay, hence the Average Service rating. Don,t let this put you off going every thing else was very good especially the breakfast, The Indian Lady was very helpful on the front desk and recommended some great Bistro's. Great week end.
Dear Sir, Thank you for giving your appreciation of the time spent with us during your stay in the Hotel Mercure Paris La Sorbonne. We have shared your very kind words with all the staff with whom you came in contact. When we do have the availability, we try to give a free upgrade: it is always much appreciated! By giving you advices on restaurants, bistro, monuments or place to see, we wanted to make your stay in Paris much easier. I regret that you did not inform us about the bath: we do have a technician every day and it could be very easy for him to fix it fastly. We look forward to welcoming you again upon your next time in Paris. Yours Sincerely, Maria Pires Assistant Manager
