"Ship in the City"
23rd April 2012, gillersEdinburgh, Edinburgh
This hotel is ideally situated for Central Gothenburg. It's a five minute walk for the bus/train terminals. It's a converted ship but you would never know. We had one of the newly refurbished rooms which was lovely. Very comfortable bed, flat screen TV and great view over the harbour. Good value buffet breakfast and reasonable choice of food in the bar/restaurant in the evening.
"An Ibis Hotel on a boat"
11th April 2012, London
The hotel is based on a boat moored in the docks. It is in the course of being refurbished and we go one of the completed rooms which was very nice...although with it being on a ship they are quite compact. The restaurant, bar and reception area are very nice and staff were helpful and friendly. Where they fall down a bit was the fact that they did not leave shampoo in the room and we had to ask for this. Also, while the hotel is only about 10 minutes walk from the main station you have to walk across some dual carriageways and then walk through a deserted (at night) business area into the docks which, although we didn't have any issues, is not the most pleasant of walks.
"Disappointed"
12th March 2012, Pontypridd, United Kingdom
Hotel under refurbishment resulted in poor amenities including restaurant and basic breakfast. Hotel did not advise, in advance, of the refurbishment work being undertaken giving the prospective traveller the choice whether to stay or not
"Good choise"

Thank you! We were spending such a good time in Gotheborg and we are completely satisfied with service in the hotel "Ibis". Especially, we've take a pleasure in suppers :-) The location is also so good, just near to centre of the city. Wish you good luck!
"Stay at Ibis for a Conference"
20th October 2011, Copenhagen, Denmark
High degree of friendly and competent staff, very clean and a perfect situation for me close to the habour waterbus. The food at the restaurant could be more varied for dinner purpose, and information on how to use the very elaborate public transport system in Götenburg could be made accessable on the hotel. The rooms a small and Ok, with small means they could be more cosy. Or alternative ly with a sligt premium in price slightly larger and offer an armchair and some more space. But please no carpet - keep the nice washable floor.
"Smelly rooms"
24th September 2011, On49Off, Veberöd
Room smell dead rat (mouse). Black mildew in the shower. Time for refurbishment, Service okay, the employees are doing their best. Got my car looted at the car park outside the hotel. In all not a very pleasant stay. Location and concept okay.
"Hotel Ibis in Gote:borg City"
17th September 2011, Manchester, United Kingdom
The hotel is not located in the heart of the city centre. It is literally located in the habour, as you may see lots of boats/yachts. It was quite doggy when sunset though there are street lights, as the location is not for the tourist, mainly for the business. Hence, we're walking alone at night to get back to our hotel. There were no water, coffee and tea that help yourself in the room. Literally, we're getting a room with en-suite. The wardrobe is the smallest that I have ever seen in my experience. The toilet rolls were the low quality material given. After 10am in the morning the cleaner's cleaning the corridor and the next rooms could be heard clearly (not sound proof). The simplicity design of the hotel felt like hostel or B&B instead.Services were good. They have fantastic restaurant bar, open 24 hours for snacks. No extra charge for borrowing the hair dryer. The receptionist were willing to guide on the direction with their best knowledge, and friendliest. There is a luggage room to keep for free. Best view on the seaside (Our rooms on seaview). Brilliant idea for converting the abundant ship to newly refurbished hotel. Classic and remembrance of staying in the ship, back in time. A little of wobbly during night, properly high tight but wasn't feel any seasick.
"Does exactly what it says on the tin."

We needed a hotel to stay for one night when we returned to Gothenburg before our flight home and this hotel fitted the bill. It is clean and comfortable, rooms are a little small but this is Sweden and you are on a converted boat! Good location being walkable distance from the main bus/train terminal as well as the city centre. Hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. Good value for Gothenburg as well. You get exactly what you expect from an Ibis so I would recommend it on that basis.
"Like this very much!"
9th August 2011, Stockholm
Surprised by the standard, rooms and service compared to the price I payed. I can really recommend this hotel for people who wants to discover Gothenburg and save their money for the vacation rather than a place too sleep.
"Good value"
3rd August 2011, sydney
This hotel is centrally located with easy access to CBD and hotel is basic but clean. The building is interesting and unusual by being set up in a disused ship and accordingly is in the port area of the city.
"Budget Hotel in Gothenburg"
6th April 2011, Modena, Italia
I stayed in this hotel before. It is a good option if you are looking for a relatively inexpensive accommodation in Gothenburg. The hotel is actually a sort of a boat, the rooms are not very big but clean and in good conditions. It is close to the railway station on the harbour and it is a very quiet area, even too much: if you want to walk to the city centre you will have 10 minutes of desert streets to consider. Services to the Ibis standard, unfortunately wi-fi is not free.
"Nice hotel near city..."
18th February 2011, Karlskoga
Nice hotel for a resonable price near the centrer of Göteborg.

I like the hotel very much. But the only thing that i didnt like was the localtion that was by the water. it was so cold to walk back from the city. Other than that was perfect. One more, the was room was not heated enough. It was cold during the night.
