The hotel is lovely, the staff very enthusiastic and welcoming. We were lucky enough to receive a free upgrade to a 'superior' room, but we would have been just as happy with a regular room. Breakfast (express) was fast and good, as well as being reasonably priced. We hope one day to visit Chamonix when it is sunny, but yet again it rained throughout our visit.
1. I booked half-board in this hotel which includes breakfast and one meal per day. When I arrived it was 9 o'clock p.m. The waiter at the reception was so impatient, always busy on his phone, after I told him I was half-boarded, he doubted me like :"Are you sure?" instead of have a check himself! Afterwards I was told that I have only 45 minutes to finish my dinner...... The food was terrible, I ordered Risotto as main course, which was totally not well-cooked, the rice is raw and too hard to bite, when I was wondering whether it was heated from frozen food, I found a piece of PLASTIC BAGS!!! inside. Then I asked the waiter to call the chef, the guy who seemed to be the chef came with an arrogant face, didn't apologize, instead, he asked me "What do you want?!" I told him I didn't want anything just an explanation of my "Risotto" because I found PLASTIC in my food!!!. I never expect his response will be "Maybe you can just pick it out"...... and even complained to me that:" Some customers just don't know how to communicate......" It was definitely impolite and the rudest treatment I've received among all 4-star hotels I've entered! 2. Give me two key cards for me and my girlfriend, one of which has not been activated...... due to the careless of Receptionist...... 3. The elevator was badly maintained, shocked heavily every time when stopped, which is definitely a potential safety hazard...... 4. No ceiling light in the room, the whole room was dark and gloomy. 5. Hardly does' have any bath supplies except one bottle of shampoo (or shower gel, or other unknown smelly chemical liquids......) I will not complain this if I go to a budget hotel, but you declare you are a 4-star! In a word, I will never ever choose to live in your hotel any more in the future! Shame on you! you'd better improve your facilities and teach your staff how to treat guests in a more polite way.
Dear Mister Ke W, Thank you for your time and for your feedback. I truly am dismayed to hear of the service challenges and issues you experienced during your stay and that you were very disappointed. This type of service meets neither our standards nor certainly your expectations and for that I am very sorry. I sincerely believe that the shortcomings you experienced were an exception to the norm and I hope the next time you are in Chamonix you will consider staying with us again where you will have my commitment for a more enjoyable stay. Best Regards
The hotel is conveniently located and offers all the facilities you need. Reception and staff are very friendly and service minded. The rooms "with a view" offer great views of the Mt. Blanc. I staued there before and will come back.
Dear, Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay at Mercure Chamonix Centre. We’re very happy to hear that you found the dinner and Mr Becker fine. Thank you again for your taking time to share your experience. Best Regards
The room setting is confortable but the amenities of the hotel and the quality of the restaurant are a little below my expectation for a 4 stars. The location is confortable but the common areas are little small.

Stayed 4 days half board. Great breakfasts, evening meals very good, bar and staff great. Only problems caused by other guests who were pigs, group of disrespectful and very rude Asian youngsters messing up the bar area and running around in corridors and shouting in the early hours. Special mention for Boris our genial bar tender. We will go back again.

First time ever have I seen bed bugs in a hotel room that had so much dust made my eyes itch. The main building is OK, but rooms in the other building should be updated. Not enough hot water. Excellent breakfast.

Possibly one of the most comfortable hotels I've ever stayed in. Plush carpets, good television and a balcony with a view on the Mont Blanc - beautifully decorated. Staff were excellent, Parking is very safe. Would love to come back in the future! Close to transport, centre of town and local activities. Stayed November 2014, traveled on leisure

We visited out of season and found the hotel to be brilliantly located, well equipped and with friendly staff. The car parking is convenient, if a little expensive at €30 per night. Delighted to find that we could see Mont Blanc from bed and that the couple of extra duvets provided were ideal to sit on the balcony at night and admire what we could see of the mountain.
Dear Sir, Thank you so much for your nice comment. it is a pleisure to hear that you had a great time in our hotel. We hope to see you soon again in Chamonix for another good time enjoying the balcony view! Kind Regards.
Overall very nice stay. Reception was informative regarding busses and ski rental. Location is good, not right next to a bus stop but not bad. Small balcony looking up at Mt B. was a plesant surprise. Ski rental and ski locker on site was convienent. The best ski offered was a little older model, price was fair. I would have paid more to get a newer ski. I am sure it could have been aranged if I would have asked. Rental is with a local ski shop that maintains some inventory in the hotel basement. If you are picky about your rentals you may want to get the name of the compang and make arangements to have what you need ready to go. I did dnot rent boots.
2nd time at this hotel , family room in main building , children loved it , seperate area for the grown ups with partition , 2 tvs though we didnt use them , one thing v poor selection on english speaking channels ie ONE ! wifi is good and service , cleaning of rooms excellent . Comfy bed , tea and coffee facilities in room now which is new from last year . very friendly and helpful reception staff , great location near the Montenvers and SNCR railway stations and central for the town . great for kids if non skiers to play and sledge at les Planards , just go past the Montenvers station towards the Parc de Loisirs Chamonix , cross the railway track and head left , 200 metres and youre there .
This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. It was only a short stay on the way to Zermatt but we would have loved to stay longer. The hotel is warm, comfortable, food and service are excellent and there was nothing at all to find fault with. We stayed on a half board basis and the dinner and breakfast were great. The hotel has been renovated to an extremely high standard and our room with a small balcony and view of Mont Blanc was lovely. The only comment I can make is go for it!
