Excellent value for money, good location, friendly helpful staff, great shower.One room I stayed had mould around window sill.

Nothing to dislike about this hotel or the staff, who could not do enough for us. Good location in the centre of Stevenage with subsidised secure parking a very short walk away.Would stay again and not hesitate to recommend.

"Quiet, friendly and inexpensive town centre hotel"

An inexpensive hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently located for the main shopping area, leisure facilities and the railway station (5 minutes walk). Very quiet at night so no disturbances to sleep.I really like the walk-in shower in the en-suite and the free Wifi in the room is a very useful feature.

First class hotel was suprised by it and expected a lot less. Not the normal Ibis in the centre of Stevenage and it is high rise very clean spacious rooms. Only comment is that there needs to be more room between the toilet and the walk in shower but an impressive stop.Is next door to large Tesco but that did not have any effect on stay.

"Good value for money"

The hotel is under re-furbishment therefore everything is very clean and new. Staff is polite. I didn't have the chance to try to restaurant. I also found the location opposite a 24-hrs open Tesco store very convenient.This was my second time at this premises and will definitely come back.

"My Stay"

My friend and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Bathrooms are bit small. I would recommend the hotel.Location is good in respect to the town center for shopping and the bus station and train station. The staff was friendly and willing to help.

"Clean room but other aspects poor !"

Waited at reception to check in for about ten minutes ..... Could not buy alcohol after 11pm at night on a saturday .. why ?? And 4am was woken up by people who where running up and down the corridor !!The plus points where the bed was nice and comfy and the room was clean.

Fairview Hotels have recently purchased theIBIS since which the hotel has undergone a £1.5 million refurbished which completed in June 2011. We are currently reviewing all food and beverage operations for the future and will most certainly take your constructive comments on board. We do have a night manager and security on duty during the night who are there to respond to any reports of noise which occur in between their security patrols.

"Refurbished but...."

The hotel has recently been refurbished. Unfortunately a number of design faults have not been corrected. The toilet is so small it is very difficult to use comfortably. In addition new beds have been provided but they are so narrow I thought I was in danger of falling out!

Have stayed at this hotel many times over the last few years and i was always hopingthe hotel would get a referb, but not. It has a great location and good staff but very grubbyand smelly,looking forward to some improvement soon.
