Good all round experience except for the heating system which was noisy but efficient. The food service in the evening was slow but we had been told that they did have a staff shortage in the kitchen so did not expect a speedy service but the food quality was very good.View management response »

"In the city center, close to the railway station, nice hotel."

It is a typical Ibis hotel. Rooms are as expected, little soap as always but they have tea and coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast is better than usual with hot English Breakfast served.It is in the city center and very close to the railway station, but located in a quiet neighbourhood, no disturbance at all. Everything is within 5 minutes reach. But there is no giuidance at the hotel, Nobody helps to inform you about the city, places to visit etc. Just if you insist you may have a bad photocopy of the city map.View management response »

"Midweek visit to Coventry"

The hotel is well placed, just off the inner ringroad. It is about 10 mins walk to city centre via pedestrian underpasses. A selection of restaurants within athe 10min walk.There is a large car park at the hotel but it is £3.00 a day.The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was adequate. This is a normal pleasant and functional Ibis and the service was friendly. However I was given a room right near reception which is also a 24 hour bar/cafe and it was terribly noisy with people coming in very late, I think after a concert so I had a very poor nights sleep. I discovered in the morning there was a fire door between my room and reception which was propped open. I was obviously a business traveller so a bit more thought have been given to room allocation and the fire door should be shut.View management response »

"Excellent stay - good value for money"

This is just outside the center of the city, but is easily walkable. Staff were very helpful. This is not a top class hotel, but is certainly a good value for the money. We like the pod design of the washroom which provides a good shower area. Does not have a bath and only has queen bed rooms, no singles.View management response »

Excellent value for money. Very friendly staff. All you need for a short stay. Rooms are as in all Ibis hotels...all you need is available. Cost of Internet package is higher than elsewhere.Certainly to be recommended.View management response »

"3rd year in a row"

This is the 3rd year that a large group of friends have stayed here and for us it is in a brilliant location, very clean and all staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is very central for all the places that we visit during our stay, very close to Lloyds who do excellent breakfasts/evening meals and a short walk to the shopping centre. It is also only a short walk to the Skydome which is where we go to watch ice hockey.View management response »

"A quick visit to Coventry"

I spent only 1 night at the hotel and am quite satisfied. The room is clean and the bathroom facilities are nice. However, it would be nice if the hotel provides better shampoo and shower gel.View management response »

"Great place to stay"

Nice clean comfortable hotel. Lovely and quiet, and was perfect for the few days as it was very handy to the NEC, Coventry City centre etc. Will be returning. !!! Only quibble, could have done with a couple more teabags. !!!View management response »

"Ibis Coventry centre"

Adequate hotel for 2 star rating which is in a good location within easy access of train station and 5 minutes walk to the centre of town and all buses. The staff were very friendly and helpful but the bar and restaurant area is very open and impersonal. Major negative to the hotel has no free wifi. Local charge of £9.99 is excessive for 24 hour use which also includes a movie. Internet access at the computer in the reception is terrible and expensive at £1 for 20minutes. When travelling and away from home internet access is essential and for that reason I would not stay at this hotel again as all other hotels I have stayed at offer free wifi to residents.
