Mercure Paris Terminus Nord: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Only for location"

21st May 2012, apisit69, Bangkok, Thailand

This hotel is not up to Mercure Standard, period! The room is good. The location is perfect. But it does not have free WIFI!The bathroom is huge but MISERABLE!The sink has permanent stain. The shower head is dirty, should be clean / replaced.Toilet also has permanent stain. The bath room layout is also strange, the cloth/towel hangeris not close to bathtub / shower. The toilet is close to the door, even the bathroom is huge. You may accidentally kick the door stopper. The only reason we stayed here is it's opposite to Gare du Nord period. The neighborhood is also not good. Feel scary compared to Gare L'Est. If you don't mind some inconvenience location, you should find a hotel around Gare L'Est instead. It's just 1metro stop away.

Mercure Paris Terminus Nord: 3.0 out of 5 stars "good but old dated"

room clean and big enough, but carpet in the hallway could be better. right in front of the train station and near subways

Management responseDear Guest,I am glad that your room was up to your expectations and that you appreciated our location with the underground stop right at your doorstep and the Gare du Nord just across the road.I take this opportunity also to inform you that, indeed, some renovation works of our hallways are already planned for the current month.I thank you for your comments and I hope to welcome you soon again.Best regardsAlessandra NanniGeneral Manager

Mercure Paris Terminus Nord: 1.0 out of 5 stars "A cold bath and shower"

5th March 2012, blewbury

We were initially very impressed with the hotel however in the morning in room 207 the hot water did not work we waited in the room for 1.5 hours to see if this changed eventually both my wife and myself had cold showers NOT GREAT there was no apology or even a complimentary cup of coffee the water finaly started working at 9.50 This rather ruined our stay with you no girl likes a cold shower Johnnie Nettlefold

Mercure Paris Terminus Nord: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Business traveller Manchester"

20th February 2012, Manchester, United Kingdom

A good hotel if seeking Gare du Nord area. Good transport link and plenty of eating options around. I had an executive room so plenty of space. No business centre so take your laptop ( charge per hour ). Has satallite tv but only the very basic channels ( BBC world ) Not my first stay here so I knew what to expect.

Mercure Paris Terminus Nord: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Paris in February"

10th February 2012, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom

Very nice hotel with very friendly staff. on arrival we were asked whether we would like a double /single room with an interior or exterior view. We asked for a double with a view of Gare Du Nord. The receptionist replied that he would give us a room with a view of the station and Sacre Coure. The room was excellent, a good size and recently refurbished.

Mercure Paris Terminus Nord: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Quiet room, good quality hotel in a busy location."

5th February 2012, freddie911, Uckfield

I stayed here for one night while visiting Paris for Retromobile. The hotel is oposite the Gare du Nord and is an oasis of calm in a noisy, busy area. The room was comfortable and reasonably warm although it was a very cold night and despite having the radiator turned up to full power the duvet was so thin that I was aware of being slightly cold all night. There was no spare blanket in the wardrobe. I had room 647 on the top floor and it was totally quiet so apart from the chill factor I had a good night's sleep. The only comment on the room itself is that the headboard had a rather unpleasant sticky patch on it which was rather underwhelming!I had booked in advance and had declined the incredibly expensive breakfast so I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed a poster in the lift advertising an express breakfast for 7 euros. It was served in the bar, by a very pleasant lady, and consisted of two bread rolls, two croissants, a glass of orange juice and a pot of tea with milk which seemed pretty good value.I will stay there for the show next year but will book an extra blanket for the bed!

Mercure Paris Terminus Nord: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Up to standard as usual!"

19th January 2012, London, United Kingdom

Have stayed at the Terminus Nord on a number of occasions. Over the years it has changed hands and decor. It is still a good choice of hotel, particularly if you are arriving by Eurostar from London - it is just across the road!

Mercure Paris Terminus Nord: 4.0 out of 5 stars "accommodation near Gare De Nore"

8th October 2011

Literally just across the street from the station. We had a couple of spare days whilst in London and decided to buy cheap Eurostar tickets to Paris but didn't want to waste valuable time. Dodgy area but very handy to transport. No cabs required. Metro access literally 5 metres from the front door or across the road. Room was quite small but very clean. Double glazed windows meant no traffic room. Air con works well and is quiet. Service very friendly and English speaking.

Mercure Paris Terminus Nord: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Location Location Location"

6th October 2011, Tuttlingen

Firstly we found that most of the brand name hotels in Paris were expensive for what we would normally pay, so we booked ths hotel as it was directly over the road from the Paris Nord station and the Eurostar terminal, so with that in mind please consider the following. For a 3 Star hotel this hotel is probably on par with most. I must say that on arrival after checking in and heading towards our room we had that sinking feeling that we had booked into a very expensive low grade hotel as the carpets were worn and the hallways narrow. However opening the door into the room was a pleasant surprise, with a reasonable size room and king sized bed, even tho we only booked a double. The decor was a bit dated but the room was definitely better than we expected after seeing the hallways. We considered breakfast in the hotel restuarant was a bit expensive, so ate in street side cafe's for the first two mornings. On the third day, we had breakfast in the hotel, and tho it costs a bit more it was worth the exra couple of euro.Hotel staff were always freindly and helpful, although the reception could do with an extra person in busy periods.Pros:Location,Good sized room,Location,Hotel breakfast was a very good selection and in realityy good value.Friendly staff,Did I mention Location,Cons:Internal decore and appearance is not the best,Room Safe did not work correctly, (Staff offered to move rooms, but we stayed).Street noise sometimes.Overall the stay was good, and the fact that the hotel was located close to the main station, and about 50 meters from an open tour, bus stop made it a good choice.

Mercure Paris Terminus Nord: 1.0 out of 5 stars "One of our worst stays EVER!"

6th October 2011, White, Georgia, USA

Air conditioning, coffee maker, front desk computer station at check-out all did not function resulting in a very uncomfortable stay. This did not seem like an Accor Hotel. The front desk clerk was friendly and appologetic. This is obviously a pooly managed hotel.

Mercure Paris Terminus Nord: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Maison Object"

18th September 2011, Glasgow, United Kingdom

I stay annually this time however I requested a good room ahead of my stay as it is at the time of my Birthday and I got a very good Room so thanks for that......I shall be back same time Sept 2012 as it is convenient for the Parc des Epos...My only complaint is that I find the Gard De Nord very dirty smelly and too may men and youths hanging about which is very intimidating for a female travelling alone as although I am with colleagues we do not all travel at the same time together, but this is not the Hotels fault but you should complain to the authorities.....

Mercure Paris Terminus Nord: 5.0 out of 5 stars "holiday"

fabulous hotel close to gare du nord , very safe , lovely french decor , very helpful staff. the breakfast room overlooks the station with big windows . hotel is close to all the main sights in paris

Mercure Paris Terminus Nord: 3.0 out of 5 stars "fantastic location"

14th August 2011, wellingborough

This hotel is right oposite the Grae du nord-pricey for what you get, but so convenient. Don't bother with the 15 euro breakfast-the cafe in the station opposite does the same for just 6euro's with a great view of the trains.Would recommend.

Management responseThank you very much for your recent feedback. I am very happy that you enjoyed your stay and that you found our location so convenient. Regarding the breakfast, I have not yet found a nearby café that offers such a large buffet choice as ours at such a small price but if I do I may have to think of challenging them for "disloyal competition". Thanks again and I look forward to welcoming in our hotel very soon.Kind regards,Alessandra Nanni General Manager
