"Great Stay!"

Loved the Sofitel! Service was excellent! I had dropped a bottle of alcohol on the hotel lobby and the concierge brought up several small bottles to our room complimentary! Very nice :-). Beautiful room. Would definitely stay again. Only complaint is the high price for valet, but that price is the norm for hotels in the area.

"Great place"

Great hotel, very friendly service, peaceful, my only concern was the shower fixture was leaking on the side. Other than that, this place was perfect for a weekend getaway. If I had to stay anywhere, it would be here.

"Nice but starting to show its age"

I love this hotel for the large quiet rooms and excellent service. In addition Sofitel has one of my favorite beds of any hotel chain. It's one of the few hotels I actually get quality sleep in. Parts of the hotel, such as the woodwork in the room are starting to show its age. There are a lot of banged up and chipped pieces of furniture. I would also like to see some dimmer switches on the lighting like they have at the Sofitel in NY and a form of a nightlight in the bathroom. I love how dark the rooms are but I banged my knee on my way to the bathroom in the middle of night. None of this would stop me from staying here again. I am hopeful updates are in the plans for the future and these adjustments will be made.

"Excellent Hotel"

This is a very handsome hotel in a great neighborhood in Philadelphia close to Rittenhouse Square. Mass transit is a short walk from the hotel. The room was very spacious and featured a glass-enclosed shower as well as a separate bathtub. The staff were very courteous and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Pluses:* Cordial and professional staff at check-in, bar lobby and front door.* Large room for a big city hotel.* Large bath with separate shower.* Quiet room* Nice contemporary decor in rooms and throughout hotel.* Good quality and complimentary coffee in lobby in the morning.* Many nearby restaurant choices.Minuses:* Not particularly close to the historic district.

"Our Philly Favorite"

This hotel makes you feel like someone special! We've stayed here several times over the past 4 years and I've never had one complaint. The staff is awesome,they remember your name, the rooms you like and assist you with whatever you need. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. The ambiance of the hotel entrance and bar are very warm and welcoming, and the food is great. A must stay in Philly!

"Sofitel - Philly"

I always stay at the Sofitel when visiting Philly. A little more expensive than other hotels, but worth it every time. They couldn't make you feel more comfortable if they tried. From check-in to check-out everything is just perfect. One of the main reasons is the staff. They are the best.

"Felt a little cheated"

Stayed overnight to attend a family weddiing instead of driving back to NY late at night - upon our return to our lovely room after 1AM, we realized that our toilet had plumbing problems - not wanting to repack and change rooms at that hour, we decided to deal with it in the morning. The problem was still there in the morning and the desk had maintenance come fix the problem while we were at breakfast. Soon after at checkout,when asked by the person checking us out if we enjoyed our stay,we repeated our bathroom problems. She asked if we would like to stay for another night and be upgraded to a suite. After rearranging some issues at home,we cleared our schedules and decided to stay another night in Philadelphia. When we returned to the desk to exchange room keys for our suite, she informed me that she will keep the rate the same as the previous night. Although she never said outright that the upgrade would be complimentary, her apologetic tone after understanding our inconvenience and making the upgrade offer made us believe that the extra night would be implicitly gratis. When asked to speak to the manager, she said he was at a meeting and gave me his card. Disappointingly we paid for the previous night, checked out and headed home to NY - however the hotel and room itself were beautiful, clean and comfortable. We would definately stay there again if our travels take us to Philly

"Very comfortable"

My room was quite comfortable and the bed felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. I had the breakfast option and it was delicious. I definitely will return to this hotel again in the future as I have need to be in the Philadelphia area.

We're stayed at Sofitel several times for our anniversary and always have a wonderful time. Friendly but formal service. Classy lobby and room furnishings. And the beds are simply luxurious. Location can't be beat. First-class all around!
