This was the most exellent etap hotel i ever slept in! The location is perfect and the room was very good, separete toilet and washbasin. very clean and good quality of bedlinen, This was not the case in st.Malo! I will gladely return to Honfleur!

For it's price (35 euros) this was excellent. Only down side was that I went back to my car after the reception had closed and a strong gust took lots of my papers flying and I lost the combination to get back in. This would have been fine, but although most messages were in English and French, the emergency recording was in French only and, in typical French style, all the words ran into each other so I had no idea of what it said. Eventually I was let back in.

Hotel clean, well presented and service from staff very good. Breakfast good but can be 'crowded' in the small area. We had a rear facing room so disturbed little but hotel is sited on a main road. Situated in excellent position within short walking distance of main harbour, shopping, cafes and restaurants. No on site parking but free gravelled site available about 200 metres away otherwise pay outside hotel during day. Would stay here again.

Etap is excellent for spending one night in very simply furnished but comfortable rooms. The absence of a human reception (just a keypad to let you in) is a bit strange at first, but once you know it, it's ok.In spite of the cheap price the furnishing is bright and makes you feel well.The position is excellent, maybe 200 m from the old port of Honfleur.Only minus is the breakfast that is cheap, but also a bit scarce in selection. Some ham and some fresh croissants could probably be added for the same price.The personnel shows up in the morning and late afternoon and is kind and prompt.Conclusion: if you aren't looking for frills, go there!

Room and breakfast good value for money for a budget hotel although no croissants! Easy 10 minute walk to centre of town and cheap parking, 3€ per 24 hours, 10 minutes walk away on quayside. No private hotel parking. Separate shower and wc cubicles and wash-basin in the room and a flat screen tv with BBC world and local channels.Polite and helpful staff.
"Cheap but not clean"

The room is a basically like a hospital room but when we spilled some water on the floor and went to clean it up we got a whole mess of filth on the paper. We wondered when the last time the floors had been mopped was. It certainly wasn't clean and the toilet seat had no lid to lift up which was not ideal. It had a great location though (5 min from the port) and it was cheap and easy. Parking was out by the water so not ideal on a windy day but no problem on a warm day. Considering the great places to eat in the area I would rather spend the extra money on food than a hotel.
