Good touring hotel with easy access into the centre of Freiburg via the frequent tram service. Very busy at 08:00 breakfast on a Saturday morning during the skiing season.

As I stay only one night and arrive late, and leave after breakfast, I didn't see nor experience much the hotel facilitis. Howqever, the hotel has a nice access and location, Bus just opposite the street. Driving is easy to city center. Nice breakfast for the price
"Etap Hotel, Freiburg Sued"

We stayed here on our way home from Italy at the begining of July. As we had used Etap Hotels previously, we knew what to expect. Friendly and efficent service, an explanation about room door codes, enquiry about breakfast and details of the time it was available. Our room was clean and tidy, as were the toilet, shower and basin areas. Towels and bed linen were sparkling white. The air conditioning kept the room cool and comfortable. There was a flat screen tv in the room and access to the internet was available. We will probably use Etap Hotels on future holidays.

Booking ahead on the website, 3 weeks in advance, I arrived late at night at the hotel around 11pm. There was no reception at the hotel, only automatic machine to check in with credit card which requires PIN (European). I don't have PIN for my credit (PIN is not required in Asia) so the machine did not allow me to get in. Beside the machine, there is intercom to speak to the personnel, I told him the problem but he can't help me to get in. So I left ETAP Freiburg and thought that I would not be charged since I didn't check in and stay at the hotel. I come back to my country and found out there was the charge for that booking. I understand that it is Low cost hotel so automatic check in machine is used but at least it should provide competent personnel to help or warn about automatic check in which would require PIN when booking on the website. I spent the hotel fee without any services.

a good clean budget hotel within a short distance of a great city and great links to the motorway network, a hotel that is clean, practical and functional with great access to the local networks including switzerland, strasbourg and the black forest

What about the ETAP Hotel, I didn't know that Accor Hotels from Novotel, Mercure etc.had some "budget" hotels in their portfolio. Know I know that they have an how!ETAP Hotels doesn't have the best location in the inner city, but more around or close to the city borders / highway's. But location, is not the only "thing" of course inside the hotel is even or more important, and I can tell you, right know....GREAT!! of course its basic, you have a (twin)bed, shower/wash table and TV corner on a small area with view to in lands (hills / grassland) or business areal. Further more the room will / get cleaned up everyday with fresh and new towels. Diningroom as even a function as reception, bar, and other amities like internet or candy / drink machines.Hotels is in good condition nice designed, clean and tidy. Hotel access is okay, but only by car with tram/bus you need to walk 15 minutes to closest station. Conclusion you want to have a payable , simple , but OK hotel with confidence of Accor Hotels, then is ETAP you best choice.

Good value for money - clean and tidy room with good facilities. Breakfast good and free for children. Shower with different coloured lights was interesting.Not in the best location and not easy to find anywhere to eat during the evening.

its a very good hotel if one want to stay one or 2 nights for work. every thing was available and the service was very good. only one thing, dont forget to bring ur shampoo with u. there is only soap there.

We stayed here to break our journey to Italy, the hotel was perfect for our needs & we even had time to visit the Christmas market in Freiburg. The rooms were immaculate, beds were comfortable & we had a quiet & restful nights sleep.We'd happily reccomend this Etap to anyone, great value, friedly & quiet.

This is a budget hotel. The room is quite spacious and the free wifi access is a bonus. I hope the info on how to arrive to the hotel by public transport could be provided on the hotel website.

Close to A5 motorway, a little bit difficultous to find due to few road signs. Good choice for breakfast. Room little (ca 9 sqm), but clean and well enough equipped. Few choice of international TV channels, some problems in finding the right temperature...
