FORMULE1 London Barking: 2.0 out of 5 stars "DISAPPOINTED"

19th April 2012, vict0ri0us, London, United Kingdom

My biggest disappointment is to find that the toilet/bathroom facilities are shared. You should specifically indicate in your advert that the rooms are not self contained. Also please indicate in your advert that the amount is for bed only. I came there because I believed the cost include breakfast

12th April 2012, vikirogo, Portsmouth, United Kingdom

this hotel was terrible as simple as that..there are shared bathrooms and toilets it was like living in a hostel but some hostels are better than this hotel. staff were rude the hotel is very dirty and smells would not recommend it to anyone

FORMULE1 London Barking: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Management need to review!"

12th March 2012, Brompton, United Kingdom

having never stayed in this type nof hotel before i did not know what to expect, but i do have a few points that need improving!there was no mention that i had to go to the reception in the adjacent hotel (part of the same group) although i was staying at the Formula 1. the location map was poor. The main door to the accadation block needs fixing as it doesnt shut properly. the key card lost its ID and would not open the door so i had to return to reception. the TV remote did not work and the bed was hard. the automatic toilet cleaner does not do everything.......and receptionist didnt seam that interested.it might be nice to receive a reply on your response.

FORMULE1 London Barking: 4.0 out of 5 stars "holiday in London"

27th August 2011, Budapest

The room is OK, bed was perfect, there was small washbasin inside the room. Good value for the low price. The fire alarm turned on often, because people can't stop smoking in their rooms, by-the-way smoking is prohibited. Public transport and shops are very close. Stuff was kind, cleaner came every day. The automated self-cleaning toilet could smell bad, but it's clean.

FORMULE1 London Barking: 2.0 out of 5 stars "NOT THE BEST"

3rd July 2011, portsmouth

this hotel is not the best they have not clearly stated that you have to share bathrooms and toliets which smells like blocked drains also the images they have on the internet dose not show the true outside of the hotel i would have paid the extra £14 to stay next door at the E-tap

FORMULE1 London Barking: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Simple and cheap"

26th May 2011, Porto Alegre

This hotel is very simple and cheap. The connection to central London is by train (20 to 30 minutes). 15 minutes walk from the train station to the hotel. The service is good. Old hotel. Cleaning the toilets is pretty poor. Breakfast is poor.

FORMULE1 London Barking: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Barking"

16th February 2011, London

This is a basic econmy hotel, which I understood when booking it. The hotel and the room were very clean, tidy and odour free. The bed linen was fresh and very clean. I would stay there again if the need arose.

FORMULE1 London Barking: 4.0 out of 5 stars "excellent value"

7th December 2010

excellent value but our room 330 was freezing even though the heater was on there was a big draft from the window and you could see ur own breathe. the other room we had was fine. Very happy with stay otherwise.

FORMULE1 London Barking: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Thank you - ESPECIALLY to the Night Service Person"

7th December 2010, DOVER

We have stayed in your hotels before and, as always, were very pleased with all aspects of the hotel & service. Special mention must be made of the night service person. At 3 am one morning a Romanian guest decided to beat up his wife! We called the reception, as there was much screaming etc., and your employee arrived in less than a minute, went straight in and sorted the whole problem out with amazing speed and diplomacy. Absolutely brilliant and thank you again.

FORMULE1 London Barking: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Smelly Toilets"

15th November 2010, Chesterfield

You get what you pay for with Formule1, however the Barking hotel is poor compared with any I've stayed in here in the UK and in France. Only one towel in the room and the drains in the toilets smelled pretty foul for the two days we stayed.

FORMULE1 London Barking: 3.0 out of 5 stars "overnight stay to visit london sites"

15th November 2010, grimsby

parked at hotel and walked 15mins to barking train station to acccess central london - circle line closed so took 2 trains and a tube, not so comfortable walking back from station at night in dark. Rooms basic but clean - be aware toilet and showers are in corridor (not private) and not particularly clean. Reception and breakfast is next door at the ETAP hotel, breakfast good for £3 odd. There were some middle of the night arrivals and nightclubbers walking past which broke the sleep - windows had to be open as room was quite stuffy. Wouldn't recommend to family with young children.
