ETAP HOTEL Orléans nord Saran: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Basic but fine...as Long as it's not hot weather"

3rd September 2011, London, United Kingdom

Stopped for a night on the way south. Location is handy for the motorway and the price is good. Spotlessly clean and reasonably comfortable. Don't expect a view though as it's on a commercial/ industrial site next to a busy road. No air con and was particularly hot that night so had to open window with consequent road noise - or close it and suffocate. The breakfast area is a joke: the size of a living room for the whole hotel. The breakfast staff were miracle workers: turning 'tables' around rapidly and running an efficient queue - so no great problems.

ETAP HOTEL Orléans nord Saran: 3.0 out of 5 stars "B&B Evry Lisses"

6th July 2011, Quillan, France

Hotel and room were fine & good value for money (approx half the price of nearby alternatives) and has air conditioning, free WiFi & secure parking. There are 4 chain restaurants (5 if you include Ikea) within a few minutes walk. However .... ... There is no hairdrier to borrow or rent (had to buy one)... I couldnt sleep one night due to a loud snorer next door... and the worst, being on the ground floor near to an emergency exit, the room was alive (but by no means infested) with cochroaches and beetles. Ask for a first or 2nd floor room.

ETAP HOTEL Orléans nord Saran: 5.0 out of 5 stars "clean and comfortable overnight stay"

27th June 2011, potterspury

Hotel is well refurbished and super clean. The bed is comfortable with crisp white linen, external soundproofing good (you do hear a little movement from people coming and going in corridor). Choice of Buffalo, Hippotamus and Campanile next door for evening meal. An excellent night's sleep, with easy access to the motorway to continue journey the next day.

ETAP HOTEL Orléans nord Saran: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Clean and functional!"

9th June 2011, Walferdange

Very clean and functional. Perfect location and easy access from highway outside hours using the card used for payment. Only negative was that the beds were too hard. Perfect for quick stopovers. Breakfast was nothing special, no fresh fruit or dark bread.

ETAP HOTEL Orléans nord Saran: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Be Practical when Travelling"

23rd May 2011, paulhan

If you are seeking a good night's sleep and a continental breakfast when in transit then an Etap is probably the best value.I would advise however that as the chain provides a basic service one should arrive with a towel and a sink plug as sometimes there is only one towel and always the sink plug is missing. The only other deficiency is the lack of an ice-machine.Finally in the case of the Saran Etap the pedestrian security gate does not function and according to the staff has not worked for some time.

ETAP HOTEL Orléans nord Saran: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent value"

28th February 2011, london

Good value, clean, refurbished budget motel. Ideal for a quick pitstop on a long journey down to the South of France. Motorway noise in the morning precluded opening the window for fresh air. Next time request a room at the back on an upper floor. The recent refurbishment has made the rooms a lot brighter and fresher and with duvets instead of sheets and blankets I was able to get a more comfortable night's sleep.
