Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Lovely Paris Weekend"

5th March 2013, poppyD83, London, United Kingdom

We has a lil problem with our booking but that was quickly dealt with the resevation team.We got the privilege room facing the Eiffle Tower which was lovely. Hotel was few mins walk from the Eiffle tower and the metro. The guy that checked us in and out was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Fantastic & super awesome..."

1st February 2013

Everything was fantastic.. Me & my hubby had such a wonderful experience staying at the hotel. It was our first experience in Paris for our honeymoon and staff at the concierge offered a free upgrade to privilege room. The room was so comfy and super clean. Location was fantastic.. 2 minutes away from the eiffel tower and Bir Hakiem Metro station.. We love it!!!

Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Paris for two nights"

27th January 2013, Helsinki, Finland

very good value for money, clean rooms, good service and excellent location, a little difficult to find but thereafter the location is good and easy to access by metro or RER. Walking on the river side offers good views and close to many attractions.. Quiet rooms at least in privilege floors. Breakfast a little basic but coffee excellent and fresh fruit available.

Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel: 5.0 out of 5 stars "excellent"

22nd November 2012

excellent location and services and quality of accomedation, need more staff in the reception, because some times takes long time in queue for a small inquiry, bathroom is really small for big people, the hotel becomes more expensive for a 4 star hotel.

Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Great View....."

12th November 2012, hdajss, Melbourne

Easy to start with what was right - the doona was magnificent and would love one, the view was awesome of the Eiffel Tower and location was great and accessible. What was wrong - no order at reception - people standing in several lines and pushing in, toilets downstairs were revolting, told our room was ready then oh no it is not, took 3 complaints for the mini bar to be refilled, coffee machine was putrid, room was very small. The major issue is we had an extra night as a new booking. Confirmed 4 times during the first 3 days that we would not have to move rooms etc, even twice on the morning of the new booking. Assured everything was fine, no issues. Got back just after lunch from touring and we were locked out of our room!! Back down to reception to sort out.Overall a decent hotel for the view and location but not much else.

Management responseDear hdajss,Thank you! We really appreciate your comment and I am glad that your overall experience was pleasant.I notice you enjoyed the duvet (doona), they are brand new and we have one in every one of our Privilege rooms! We are also about to change the coffee machine (we just received the new ones!), I apologize if yours (less recent model) was not spotless as it should be. About the size of the rooms, they are 19.50 meters square and even though it is very common in Paris for a 4 star hotel, I understand your reaction.Thank you for bringing to our attention the lines at the reception, the toilets downstairs and the issue with your room key. Your observations are helping us improving our guests' experience. We are looking forward to welcoming you back for your next Parisian trip, in the meantime I wish you safe travels. Best regards, Laurent Mauguit, General Manager

Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "great place to stay ........."

29th October 2012, Ms_Scanna

as long as you are not after a meal as well. Loved my room, I also love the fact that the toilet is separate to the bathroom, although a bit tiny. To be able to have a shower without climbing into a bath imo is a major plus, then add the rainshower head bliss. The bed was comfy the curtains blocked light perfectly. Free wi fi another added bonus, television for me was a bit hit and miss - I don't speak french, though I was able to catch up with world news fine. Close to the Metro, RER and bus stops, forget the fact that the magnificent Eiffel Tower is a hop skip and jump away. Plenty of cafes in the area which is a major plus as the food at the Mercure is very average - breakfast was not up to my liking but still very edible. My main gripe with this hotel, considering it is in a major tourist area, I would have thought they would have a dedicated concierge to help guests, especially as reception can be very busy with check in/outs. Would I stay here again if in Paris - a definite yes.

Management responseDear Ms Scanna, We are really happy your experience with us was pleasant, and especially that you liked our brand new rooms! If you have time, could you please let us know more about your breakfast experience sending an email to Food and Beverage Manager Christophe (h2175-fb@accor.com)? He is very interested in getting more details regarding what was not up to your liking: this way we can keep improving our breakfast offer. Thank you again for your positive comments; we look forward to welcoming you during your next trip to Paris!Best regards, Laurent Mauguit, General Manager

Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Lovely Place to Stay"

11th September 2012, Ballarat, VIC

This hotel provided a lovely spot for us to stay on our trip to Paris. the rooms were much roomier than we had anticipated and staff were amazing. they were always pleasant, happy to speak both French and English (and happy for you to attempt very poor French!). the Staff made our stay delightful. Wouldnt recommend the restaurant. bathroom really good. we would go back. great location near the E. Tower and River.

Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great location"

28th August 2012, Jaeon9, Singapore

Great location if you want to be near Eiffel Tower. Hotel is also near a metro station which makes traveling around Paris much more convenient. Room is surprisingly spacious and clean and comfortable even for 3 persons in one room (with the additional sofa bed). We love the complimentary wi-fi access in the hotel which helped much in planning our day's itinerary and walking routes in Paris.

Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great hotel with great location"

25th August 2012, chrisdhika, Jakarta, Indonesia

Both me and my husband had a terrific time staying at your hotel. It was a great place to rest after visiting so many beatiful places in Paris, not to mention the convenient location. Overall, was a very nice hotel. We actually have just recommended this hotel today to our friend who is planning a trip to Paris.

Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Good location, bad experience"

13th August 2012, HeadsetTheHague, The Hague

The hotel is in an excellent location for experiencing Paris. Just a 5 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and several cafés. Unfortunately the standard room, although clean, is small and cramped - not what I am used to with a Mercure Hotel. The front desk service was good, although they originally gave me the wrong room they quickly fixed the error. The buffet breakfast was a poor exerience. With the exception of the lady at the door the restaurant staff made us feel that we were an inconvenience and rushed our meal. On our final morning at the hotel I ate a bad boiled egg and had food poisoning for the next two days - disrupting the remainder of my vacation. I would never expect food poisoning at any other Mercure Hotel. It is unlikely that I will stay at a Mercure again and I will definately never eat their food again.
